"I see," Ezio said. That certainly made sense; the Apple was known to do such things, as well. "Then, perhaps, we should try to get to know one another while you are here, Brother. I would like to know more about you and your comrades."

Desmond nodded. "Of course. I don't know how much Italian they speak, but I can translate until we come up with a better idea. We've known each other for a few years, but they've been at this job longer than I have."

"Not born to the life, then," Ezio said, nodding. "I understand that." He gestured to the room. "Please, make yourselves comfortable. We are safe here."

Desmond nodded and looked at the girls. "You two go ahead and settle in, we're safe here."

Harper nodded after a moment and stretched out a bit before going to find a comfortable spot to settle down for a while. She'd taken Italian for a while in college but she was having problems following the two.

Shea had taken Latin, and was having a tiny bit of luck following the coversation, but only a tiny bit. She settled herself in a comfortable spot to keep watching Desmond and Ezio.

Harper watched as the two went back and forth and shook her head a bit.

"They look so similar, it's crazy," she murmured. "Even some of the movements are the same."

"You noticed too, then," Shea said. "I guess Desmond wasn't kidding about what he said was in the Animus."

"Apparently not." Harper shook her head a bit. "Not to mention all this. I mean, hell, I always knew I'd see crazy things with the Order, but not this level of crazy."

"It's like seeing Des in a mirror, kind of," Shea said. "They even have the same scar, did you notice?"

"I did, actually." Harper shook her head. "The same scar, some of the same mannerisms... I bet Des's hair would look like that if he let it grow out. They could be brothers, almost twins."

"Same technique," Shea said. "They jump and climb the same way."

"They do. It's a bit creepy." Harper paused for a moment, listening to them, and snorted. "Okay, I know I heard something about us and that horse and the incident in Ontario. Remember that?"

Shea snickered.

"I remember," she said. "That was great."

Harper grinned and twiddled her fingers at Desmond when he turned to look at the two. Rolling his eyes, he shook his head.

"Ignore them, if possible, they're just troublemakers."

"Indeed?" Ezio asked, glancing at them. "You seem close with them. And they with each other."

"They were close when I met them," Desmond said. "From what I can tell, they trained together and worked together before they met me. Mostly now we work together. It's a bit easier that way."

"Fascinating," Ezio said. "I have not had the pleasure of permanent partnership. We are... scattered, here."

"I thought as much when I saw there weren't others here." Desmond paused for a moment as a thought occurred to him. Perhaps there was a purpose to the Piece of Eden's madness. "Perhaps part of the reason we were brought here was to help you re-establish the Order."

Ezio considered that for a moment.

"I would be glad of the help," he said. "It is... difficult to manage everything on one's own."

"I'm sure it is. It's difficult to manage just a few things." Desmond smiled a bit. "If you want our help, we'll be glad to help however we can. But perhaps rest would be better for tonight, and tomorrow we can come up with a plan."

Ezio nodded.

"Of course," he said. "There is space enough for you all to rest here tonight."

"Thanks," Desmond said again. He knew he probably wouldn't get much sleep, but he could at least rest. That would be good.

"You two, get some rest while you can, tomorrow is planning time."

Shea nodded.

"Alright," she said. She paused when she noticed both men looking at them with nearly identical expressions. That was a little creepy.

Harper noticed it too and couldn't help but shiver a little. Okay, that was a bit freaky.

"Good night," she said, rather pointedly.

That startled a snort out of Desmond, and he shook his head and went to go settle in as well.

Ezio blinked, not having expected it, but nodded in return anyway.

Shea followed the other two out, staying close to them.
