Our high school is 3 stories. It's survived an awful tornado before. As long as it's built with tornadoes in mind it's probably okay. The procedure for tornadoes generally has the kids move to the first floor no matter what, though.

Yeah, going to see the blood moon last night was a cold endeavor.

The Blood moon viewing was odd...I'd almost forgotten about it, but, being dinner time, we'd decided to dine out and I remembered the time was when the blood moon was supposed to appear, I brought my camera, and it was a interesting thing I did choose to take photos of it...
Because my naked eye couldn't see it, but the camera caught the redness of it...so weird. |

It was snowing and therefore completely cloudy here last night, so no moon visible at all.

It was far too overcast here last night and we're having weather in the 30s and 40s overnight. Put heater back on so I'm pretty toasty! Georgia weather is so bizarre!
I would normally assume the school planned with tornadoes in mind, but our county is pretty sketchy when it comes to projects like this. The good news is, the school has been there for 40+ years and I am so happy they improved it! It was fine before, but it's pretty spectacular now. My son wanted to go this morning, but he's still in pre-K at a different site. |
I can see the moon perfectly tonight, and it looks a tiny bit yellow/orange. [lol] It's beautiful and seems big!

Their saying that there will be a comet passing us in May also.

Stuff is happening up there‼ [shock] They're also saying three more blood moons are coming (October 8th, April 4th 2015, September 28th 2015), and there won't be four like this again until 2032-33.
On top of THAT, they're saying there will be a solar eclipse next year on March 20th and a partial one on September 15th! *flips table* AND an annular eclipse (whatever that means… does it happen every year?) this year on April 29th and a partial one on October 23rd‼ *flips another table* This is a crazy year, man. |
Yeah. But I think it will be a positive thing. Not the doom and gloom that alot of people are thinking.
