You can have a panic attack without having a panic disorder. Once is a freak thing that sometimes happens, usually from acute stress (often in people with some other mental health issue that prevents them from properly dealing with stress). But multiple attacks usually indicates a panic disorder which is pretty rare in the general population (about 4% of the US). But internet communities like Menewsha are safer than the outside world often, so I feel like the population demographics are a little skewed on forums.
