I don't actually sell my photos though. It's something that I'm not comfortable doing. [sweat]

OfeliaLaroose 01-14-2014 07:41 PM

Thats understandable sometimes.
Me I'm just all for making money any way I can...depending on my art piece though, if its something that i am personal with i wont let people buy it.

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 07:41 PM

I always undersell myself, so in that aspect I am not comfortable.

nemo.love_22 01-14-2014 07:42 PM

Understandable sometimes... -.- You do not know me... -.- Sometimes is not in there. It may not be acceptable to you to not sell things, but for me, I DO NOT SELL THINGS EVER...

But see for me... I do not take photos to sell... I take photos to take photos because I enjoy, it that is all.. I do not feel comfortable selling them because I am not taking them to sell. I am taking them for me. [yes]

OfeliaLaroose 01-14-2014 07:43 PM

I always price my things too low because i think my stuff is crap.
[sweat]

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 07:45 PM

I take photos for myself, it's my artwork I try to commission.
But nobody still wants to buy.

OfeliaLaroose 01-14-2014 07:47 PM

I actually met someone last summer [weird saying that being 2014 now] and shes rather wealthy and now my friend but she bought a photo i took of her dog for $100 when i told her $30... i was like WAH?! NO! I CANT TAKE THIS.

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 07:52 PM

I wish that was me.
I'm so poor. D;

---------- Post added 01-14-2014 at 02:53 PM ----------

Although, question.
Why not have your stuff sell for even amounts?

Amane 01-14-2014 07:54 PM

Oh-kay. Of what I have at hand… I drew a thing like so. My drawing style has improved since then, and I'm working on a new hair technique. It's not going well so far. |D My most recent drawings are very detailed sketches that are going to be SO MUCH FUN to trace over with black.

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 07:58 PM

I like your art style~!

@Ofie: I know grown up life so well.
That's why I have a job that I hate.
xD

Amane 01-14-2014 08:01 PM

I really should use Photoshop because it looks like a can of rainbows, but making myself dig it up and install it just won't happen.
I kept playing with that picture in Photoscape (free photo editing program) because it has so many colors.

OfeliaLaroose 01-14-2014 08:02 PM

this is ofie's marker doodles

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 08:05 PM

@Amane: Try paint.net. It's kind of like PS, only free. I only use it to edit pictures, though. I don't like using it to draw. I use SAI for that.

@Ofie: What kind of markers do you use, what kind of paper?

nemo.love_22 01-14-2014 08:06 PM

And this is now a conversation that I'm lost in, so I'm going to go and watch Sherlock and play Bananagrams by myself. xD

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 08:06 PM

Oh, enjoy it!
[I do wish you would stay, but SHERLOCK!]

nemo.love_22 01-14-2014 08:08 PM

I'm rewatching Series 2, as I'm totally caught up with 3.

But I really do feel lost in this conversation as I have nothing to contribute.

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 08:09 PM

I need to purchase watercolor paper for my copic commissions.
Or else it turns out ugly like so:

I'm not sure what other photos to share, as I'm not feeling up to sorting through the thousands of photos I have. [sweat]

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 08:16 PM

@Ofie: Using copic/artists' markers would be better. But as you said, you are tight on money, so you would have to save up for them.
Prismacolor artists' markers are cheaper than Copic brand. I haven't used Copic brand, but Prismacolor is a good brand.

@Nemo: I'm not forcing you to stay, lol!
You can go watch Sherlock, or find another thread that's active, lol.
This is my only active subscribed thread right now.
I love giving advice, even though my art is crappy.

nemo.love_22 01-14-2014 08:18 PM

I'm trying to find more photos, while listening to Sherlock. [lol] I've seen the episodes before, so I can go and watch it when something comes up. We'll see how long it takes for me to find a photo worth sharing. [lol]

Amane 01-14-2014 08:18 PM

*high pitched screaming*

Pistachio_Moustache 01-14-2014 08:20 PM

Why the screams?
D:!!
