Ive read alot of his sci-fi but hadnt read his other stuff.

Stuff like the Mars series (Red Mars,Blue Mars etc.) and Ive always been a huge Star Trek fan.

Yeah it is. Its about this mysterious circus that comes to this small town and all these weird things start to happen.

I liked them both equally. I'm more of a fantasy person, but sci-fi is still brilliant! My favourite sci-fi is Dune by Frank Herbert.

never was able to read Dune, i did try but never could read it. I am more of a fantasy person though lately I have been reading David Webber.

Dune was good. It was hard for me to follow at first but I liked it.

Dune was one of the few books that left me speechless.

David Webber writes Honor Harrington, which is a space war opera. the first book was written in the 1980's and since then it has take off. he blinds history with space battles so if you know history you will see it in the frist few books. reasently he has written a set of young adult books as well. in the next year the frist moive will be out.

That actually sounds right down my alley. I'm going to have to look into that after I finish what I'm reading now.

the frist book is the hardiest one to read. partly because he had to do alot of science in it and had to have an alien race he really did not like so it drags but after that its good. Just to warn you he dose like big words. I read out loud to a friend of mine and right now we are working on A Beautiful Friendship which is the young adults, and I am stumbling on it.
