Live long and prosper!

Amane 01-28-2014 06:22 AM

Don't look at scary things at night. Don't you DARE watch sad things at night!

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:23 AM

I think most of the people who like Sci-Fi like star trek. or they are star wars fans.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-28-2014 06:23 AM

Can't they be both... like myself?

Yeah it is. Its about this mysterious circus that comes to this small town and all these weird things start to happen.

I liked Star Wars but never got into it like Trek though.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-28-2014 06:31 AM

I think there was a movie about that... Old movie...
I liked them both equally. I'm more of a fantasy person, but sci-fi is still brilliant! My favourite sci-fi is Dune by Frank Herbert.

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:32 AM

never was able to read Dune, i did try but never could read it. I am more of a fantasy person though lately I have been reading David Webber.

Ravensdance 01-28-2014 06:33 AM

Dune was good. It was hard for me to follow at first but I liked it.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-28-2014 06:34 AM

Dune was one of the few books that left me speechless.
I haven't heard of Webber...

Amane 01-28-2014 06:36 AM

WATCHING VIDEOS TO HELP THE CAUSE IS FUN.

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:37 AM

David Webber writes Honor Harrington, which is a space war opera. the first book was written in the 1980's and since then it has take off. he blinds history with space battles so if you know history you will see it in the frist few books. reasently he has written a set of young adult books as well. in the next year the frist moive will be out.

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-28-2014 06:43 AM

That actually sounds right down my alley. I'm going to have to look into that after I finish what I'm reading now.

@Amane- The cause?

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:46 AM

the frist book is the hardiest one to read. partly because he had to do alot of science in it and had to have an alien race he really did not like so it drags but after that its good. Just to warn you he dose like big words. I read out loud to a friend of mine and right now we are working on A Beautiful Friendship which is the young adults, and I am stumbling on it.

I can't get comfortable. :/ Too hot. How can it be too hot... IN JANUARY!?

Ravensdance 01-28-2014 06:47 AM

I heard that they are going to do a live action Robotech movie.

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:47 AM

I dont know how to answer that question.

nemo.love_22 01-28-2014 06:49 AM

I meant it as a rhetorical question. It doesn't have an answer.
But really. It's too hot. :/

Lunna Dea 01-28-2014 06:50 AM

nemo.love_22 01-28-2014 06:51 AM

I'm about to have to turn on the AC.... In January. OMG. Someone else turned it on - one of my other roommates. Blessed cold air! <3

SuperZombiePotatoe 01-28-2014 06:52 AM
