i understand she didn't want to lose a wonderful teacher, but then give her incentives!

There were definitely much better ways to have said she wanted to keep me there. She could have said, "I will pray for you and whatever is to come will come" OR "I'd like to keep you here, what can we do to keep you here?"

'i'll pray for you and God's will be done'
that way she didn't even have to make you feel bad
which is what i feel she was going for, to guilt you into staying

well and I told her - I was looking for a job closer to my family and one that paid 5 days a week (my old school paid 4 days a week but then put all my extra meetings, trainings, and performances on that 5th day that was supposedly my day off - and they never paid me for it).

As much as it sucks to lose a teacher - you should be supportive if they are leaving for good reasons... >.<
