(Awesome! Thanks for letting me see them eventually. And do you want Freezerburn to be an actual thing or just rumors to make Yang blush and whatnot. Not that I can see Yang getting flustered over something like that tbh...)
"Y-you don't have to pay if you don't want to, honest!" Ruby said quickly as she looked at Sun. She had a little money left over after buying all of her replacement parts for a small sandwich and some cookies. "Alright I suppose. What about you Mr. Super Faunus?" she asked with a light grin, showing that she was just teasing him by calling Naruto that. Areku chuckled lightly at that. "Almost, but not quite. I'd rather enjoy some peace and quiet time with my girlfriend after all," he responded with a light grin before taking a bite of his sandwich. He had to remember to come back here more often...this was pretty good. Amaya nodded in agreement, knowing what Itachi meant, especially since she felt the same way at times. |
((No problem. =) Wolfie doesn't really mind either way, so it's up to you.))
Sun shrugged. "Okay, it's up to you. Just thought I'd offer." He said, figuring she could do what she wanted. Naruto blushed. "Fine, I guess. I started doing some research about that, but I didn't get very far. I'm not good at research." He said. "True, this is much more fun than teasing people." Hikari said with a smile. She took a bite of her sandwich and blinked. "Wow, this is good." She said. After the second time around, Itachi noticed that the operator was starting to let people off and on again, which meant that the ride kept stopping. He was almost expecting it when their cart stopped exactly at the top. "Well...I always thought this only happened in movies." He said. |
(Thanks for the pictures, and alright)
Ruby looked down lightly at that. "Sorry...how about this, you can pay for me this time if you want and then on our next date, I can pay?" she asked, feeling good about herself figuring out such a compromise. Blake giggled lightly at that. "You never really were good at researching or doing any base work like that. You're more of the front line fighter. But don't worry, I'm sure Weiss and I can help you look up everything concerning the myth," she responded before taking a bite of the sandwich that he brought. She still couldn't believe that Naruto would go to all this trouble just for her though... "Agreed. Besides, we can tease Yang and her princess any time we want, but times like this are rare...though they are nice" he responded before taking another bite of his sandwich. To think that Areku Tenjin, last survivor of the Tenjin Clan was on a date...it seemed a little strange to him, honestly. Amaya nodded as well once their cart came to a stop. "It's so pretty..." she said softly, not realizing that she spoke that out loud. |
"Okay. That sounds great." Sun answered, smiling. "You're pretty smart, you know?"
Naruto blushed a little and smiled. "Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm really curious if the myth has any truth behind it, and if it's even possible that I'm..." He trailed off. He still couldn't fully believe that he was some kind of legendary super faunus. Hikari chuckled. "That's true. I wish we had more moments like this." She said wistfully, taking a sip of her drink. "But then, the fact that the're rare makes them even more precious." She briefly wondered what her parents would think of her, their little heiress, going out with this boy. Itachi smiled. She had handed him the perfect opportunity, and he was going to take it, no matter how cliche it was. "I agree. My view is even prettier, though." He said, staring right at her. |
"I am?" the scythe wielder prodigy asked, wondering why he would say that.
"What would really be interesting is if I'm one of the legendary nine super faunus as well. If I remember correctly, one of them was a cat faunus..." Blake said, though they would definitely need to do some research on this. And definitely keep this between the people that already knew. They didn't need any bigoted idiots finding out after all. "I wish we had more moments like this as well," he replied before taking another bite of his sandwich followed by a sip of his drink. It would definitely be good to have more dates like these with his girlfriend though. (now that you bring up Hikari's parents...do you want to do something with that scenario? It would be up to you though) Amaya was about to turn and ask him what he meant before realizing he was talking about her and blushed heavily. "T-thanks..." she replied. |
"Yeah, totally." Sun replied, nodding. "You're always figuring out solutions for every problem. It's pretty cool."
Naruto nodded enthusiastically. He had thought the same thing, and secretly, selfishly, he hoped it was true. Because then it wouldn't be just him, and they would be in it together. "We'll have to figure out exactly what the legends say, and try to find any records of the previous Nine to see if we match up at all." Hikari finished up her sandwich with a nod to show that she had heard him. "Ark-kun..." She started slowly, as if debating whether to say anything. "I want to tell you guys why I hate that nickname. But I want to tell you first, separate from the others." She said. Itachi smiled at her reaction, liking the way her cheeks flushed red at the slightest provocation. She's so cute... He thought to himself. To her, he said, "You're welcome. But really, I only speak the truth." ((Yes, Wolfie was actually going to do something there.)) |
(Quite early tonight, I'm surprised.)
"Well...when one has to deal with my sister and Weiss...you tend to have think quickly like that," Ruby admitted as she located a small cafe...and if she was right...saw Hikari and her teammate Areku as well. "Yeah, we'll have to see what exactly the legends say before we confirm anything," Blake replied before taking a bite of her sandwich. Right now though, she just wanted to spend time with the fox faunus. Besides, they would have to get Weiss involved in this as well...and didn't know what the girl thought about the myth. The cat faunus was sure it would definitely be an interesting conversation... Areku had finished his sandwich a few minutes ago and was calmly sipping on his drink while he waited patiently for Hikari to finish. Hearing Hikari call his name, he looked at her with curiosity within his eyes, especially when it looked as if it was she was battling with herself over something. Though he was shocked when he heard what she wanted to say. "Are you sure you want to tell me that? You don't have to if you don't want to Hikari-chan" he quickly replied. "Again...t-thanks..." Amaya said as her blush didn't go down. Though she still didn't know who had killed her parents or set her house on fire, which caused her Semblance to make itself known. |
((It happens sometimes. lol))
Sun laughed. "Yeah, that sounds about right. I don't know either of them very well, and I don't want to insult anyone, but they do seem to be a handful." He said. "Hey, is that team HANA over there? Or...two of them, anyway?" Naruto's thoughts were running along the same track, wondering how the faunus-hating Weiss would react to this particular request. He'd have to beg, probably. "So..." He started, but couldn't figure out what to say. Hikari paused, wrestling with the out he had given her, but shook her head. "No, it's something I want to tell you, at least. I have to." She said, nodding to herself. ((Not sure how to reply to the last one. What's Amaya's semblance again?)) |
(Amaya's Semblance is Presence Erase. It allows her to become a Ghost more or less, she can hear and see, but not interact)
"Yeah, it looks like Hikari and Areku," Ruby said once she saw where Sun was pointing to. "Perhaps they're enjoying a date themselves?" she asked, wondering if that was the case. "Hm?" Blake asked, curious as to where Naruto was going with that. Though the thought of Naruto having to beg Weiss to do anything for him was a little humorous. However, she was able to stop herself from letting out a smirk at said thought. "Alright," he replied, patiently waiting for her to start. |
Sun nodded. "Yeah, probably. They're the heiress and the Tenjin kid, right? You wanna go say hi, or should we leave them alone?" He asked.
"Uh...I don't know what to say. I'm not good at small talk..." Naruto said. Hikari glanced around. "Okay...to start with, I'll tell you something nobody in the world knows: I had an older brother." She paused, gulped, and continued. "He was two years older than me, and our parents loved him more than anything. He was supposed to be heir, and he was good at everything. Their perfect little boy. Compared to him, I was a complete failure. He could do no wrong. His name was Kurai, and he embraced it entirely. Kurai hated me, see, and he loved hurting people. He was really charming when he wanted to be, and he could fool our parents without any trouble at all, so he got away with murder...almost literally. My earliest memory is of Kurai calling me 'Light-chan' in a mocking voice while he pinched me all over. I couldn't have been more than a year old. He teased me for being weak, for being a girl, for my name, for my looks...and he hurt me, all the time. I couldn't tell our parents, because they would never believe me, and he told me that if I ever squealed on him, he would kill me. He meant it, too." Hikari shuddered. It was obvious she was having trouble talking about this. "He never called me by my name. He always, always called me Light-chan, even in front of our parents, but they thought it was a term of endearment. The biggest problem with all of this was that, despite everything he did to me, I loved my brother. I looked up to him. I always followed him around, did whatever he said, hoping that I could make him love me back. He used that against me all the time. He would pretend to love me just to crush my feelings later, or promise that we could play together just to make me do things. I always got in trouble for doing bad things that he told me to do, and I never sold him out because I wanted him to love me." She stopped and took another deep breath. "Then, when I was eight and he was ten, things finally went too far. Up until then, Kurai had never targeted out parents, but they had started talking about sending him to a private school and he didn't want to go. He was mad at them. I heard him planning to hurt them, but make it look like the chef did it. He wanted them dead. I confronted him, I told him that I wouldn't let him hurt our parents. Things didn't go well. Kurai got mad and attacked me, and this time he really was going to kill me. I managed to fight back, but that only made him angrier. We fought, and I got really hurt...he managed to knock me out. When I woke up, he had me tied up in the basement. I was bleeding, and he was standing there with a knife. I remember I was leaning against something cold and metal, but I didn't know what it was. Kurai said, "Little Light-chan, I'm going to snuff you out. Mom and dad will be so sad that you had such an accident. You were training in the basement, because you wanted to catch up to your big brother, but you tripped and landed on the knife you were practicing with. I came and found you, and I was so, so sad to lose my little Light-chan." He smiled at me, and I knew that he was really going to do it. He was going to kill me and make it look like an accident, and pretend to be sad about it. As he came at me, I started to feel really warm. The knife came down, and suddenly there was fire. The ropes around me turned to ash, and I rolled out of the way. The knife punched a hole in the container I had been leaning against- I guess it was already weak from the flames. It turned out to be an oil container. Kurai didn't have a chance. He was covered in oil, and the oil caught fire, and next thing I knew there was fire everywhere. Kurai broke away from the flames and came at me again, and I...I pushed him back into the fire. I couldn't find the stairs, and the smoke got to me...no one could ever figure out how I survived, but by the time they found us half the house was burned down. I had all kinds of smoke damage to my lungs and eyes, but no burns. Kurai was recognizable, but dead. Since no one knew what started the fire, it was decided that it was a freak accident. I told them that Kurai had saved me from the flames, and of course they believed me. We found out later that Kurai had found his semblance at an early age. It was called "Charm" and allowed him to influence the people around him with his thoughts. That's why our parents never saw the bad in him, why no one ever realized how horrible he was. I was the only one he didn't use it on, and only because he liked to torture me. My parents started to focus their attention on me, and covered up all evidence that they'd even had a son. No one was allowed to talk about it, or even mention his name. Kurai was their secret shame...and I became their public one. I never told them the truth- that I started that fire. That I killed Kurai. That, as he died, Kurai called out to me for help...and that just before he died, he said "I really do love you, Light-chan." And it was the only time he ever meant it. He was...proud...that I'd become a killer. And ever since then, I haven't been able to hear that name without remembering Kurai." Hikari was crying by now, silent tears pouring down her cheeks. "My semblance is "Flame Body" and it lets me freely control a special flame that I produce myself...a flame that won't hurt me. I only ever used it once, because after that, I've never been able to do it again. I still don't know how I used it that time." Itachi blinked, rubbed his eyes, and blinked again. "Maya-chan? Where...what...are you there?" |
(*blinks* Text blindness. But after activating WallofTextbreaking.exe, I want to hug Hikari now)
"I think we should leave them alone. There's no reason for us to interrupt what looks like a date between the two of them," Ruby replied before seeing Areku, if she remembered his name correctly, hug Hikari. Though while she was curious about that, she wasn't going to pry, especially since she could see the trail of tears on Hikari's face. The only reason she was able to see the tears in the first place was because of her training as a sniper. "You don't have to talk on a date Na-kun. As long as we're together, then I'm okay," Blake responded. (Question: Would it be okay if Phoenix introduced something that interrupted their date, either a member of CRDL or a Grimm?) Ark listened patiently, frowning and getting angry over the story. It wasn't Hikari that he was mad at, but her brother and her family. He couldn't see why her brother decided to act like that nor why her parents quickly covered the fact up. Hearing about her Semblance though, he was quite surprised about hearing about it, though wondered why it only activated that one time. "Wow...that's quite some story, and there is something good about light you know," he said before getting up and quickly hugging her. "At night you can see the stars, and stars are known as lights in the sky..." he whispered into her ear, hoping to cheer her up. After letting her go, he thought about something. "You said you haven't been able to activate your semblance since, right?" he asked, wanting to make sure. He had a feeling that it was because of her guilt, and how she always thought of her brother, was holding her back from using it. Amaya calmed down before focusing, slowly coming back into the physical plane. Seeing Itachi looking at her with concern in his eyes, she looked down. She had heard how worried he was when she vanished like that and felt bad. "Sorry...my semblance activated itself. Usually it doesn't do that unless I'm really flustered or something along those lines," she said as her hair covered her face and the cheeks that were burning red. |
((lol sorry about that. When Wolfie gets going on a backstory, she tends to just roll like a snowball.))
Sun, who didn't see the tears, nodded. He only saw the hug, but figured that was probably leading to something private. "Okay. Let's head somewhere else to eat, then." He said. Naruto smiled lightly. "Thanks, B-chan. Count on you to make me feel better." ((Yeah, go ahead.)) Hikari was glad when Ark hugged her, and even happier when he tried to cheer her up. She had been terrified that he would turn away from her, after hearing that she was a murderer. "I...thank you...for listening. I know light is supposed to be a good thing, but up until I met you, my name has always been negative for me." She said. She liked the comparison to the stars, though. Hearing his question about her semblance, she nodded. "Yeah. I've tried a few times. Itachi-sensei even tried to help me, but I just couldn't make it happen. I still don't know how it happened the first time...if I could only figure that out, I could do it again." She said. Itachi's expression softened instantly. He had been worried for a moment, but he knew it wasn't her fault. He reached up to brush her hair out of her face. "It's okay. I used to have the same problem, only worse. At least your semblance doesn't hurt people like mine does. I'm just glad you're okay." He told her. "From now on, I'll try not to make you too flustered." |
"Lead the way," Ruby said with a light grin on her face. She was glad to see that Sun was being considerate and not wanting to bother the other couple...especially with what Blake had said about him in the past...though it was just to warn the girl of his somewhat blunt behavior.
(alright then. Hm...does Cardin deserve pity? Nah...) Cardin couldn't believe it. Not only was he fighting a weak amount of Beowolves, but he had also found out that Blake Belladonna, one of the few people who he could actually tolerate, was a faunus. And not only that, but a cat faunus as well. And by the looks of it she was on a date with a fellow freak, that fox faunus from Team HANA if he remembered correctly. Hitting another Grimm with his mace, he kept the secret to himself...for now. Perhaps he could blackmail her like he did Jaune earlier in the year... Blake sighed lightly as she heard sounds of fighting, just about ready to say something in response to Naruto. Hearing the Grimm though made the cat faunus know that the date was over...at least for now. "Let's go see if we can offer assistance," she said. She really didn't want to get up, especially when she was so close to Naruto, but knew that she had to. Besides, it was their job as Hunters and Huntresses to save as many people as possible. Though if she knew who she was about to help, then she wouldn't have bothered. "You're quite welcome Starlight," he said with a smirk, hoping that she was okay with the pet name. "And don't be ashamed about who you are or what you did. You acted out of self-defense, nothing more than that," he said as a thought came to him. Well now that made two possibilities... "What did you and Itachi tried doing to activate your Semblance?" he asked, not wanting to get her hopes up for nothing. (Itachi's Semblance is Amaterasu, right?) Amaya felt Itachi move a strand of hair out of the way and blushed lightly at the action. "You had the same problem?" she asked, now completely curious. "And thanks...for worrying about me" |
Sun hesitated for a second, then reached out and took Ruby's hand. Without saying anything, he started forward, pulling her along, looking forward so that she (hopefully) couldn't see his blush.
Naruto's ear twitched, and he sighed. He didn't want to go, but he supposed he could come back here with Blake any time. "Alright." He said, standing up to follow Blake. despite himself, he was already getting pumped for the fight. It was just Naruto's way. Hikari blushed, then smiled. She liked that name, probably better than any name she'd ever been given. "I try to tell myself that, but the fact remains that I killed him, and I didn't confess." She said with a sigh. "Itachi-sensei...he didn't know about any of this, so he tried training with me. He thought I didn't know my semblance. Although...sometimes I wonder. Ita-sensei is smart. I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow found out about it." She said. ((Indeed it is)) Itachi nodded. "I did." He confirmed. "But I learned to control it. I can help you do the same, if you want." He offered. "And you're welcome." |
Ruby blushed lightly when Sun took her hand, but said nothing about it. It actually felt warm to the touch...
Blake saw just who exactly was fighting the Beowolves and drawing the attention of the other Grimm to their location and panicked for a slight second before feeling Naruto's hand take hers and squeeze it lightly. Drawing in a short breath, she threw Gambol Shroud at an Ursa Major that made it's way over to their position. She'd have to deal with the consequences later and just hoped it wasn't too bad... "Actually, you kinda just did. You confessed to me, and I don't think any worse of you for it Starlight," Areku responded as he used the pet name for her again, seeing her blush and smile before when he used it. He wouldn't use it often in public, but it was something that brought a smile to her face. "Alright then...I think I may have two theories as to why your Semblance isn't working. One is that you can only use it in self-defense/life or death situations. The other is the fact that you still feel guilty about killing your brother and not telling anyone about it. The second one has already been done, but I'd rather not test the first right now," he admitted while scratching the back of head. "Could you, please?" Amaya asked. She had a feeling that if she didn't have it under control then on future dates, if that happened that is, she'd get flustered and vanish on him again. That was something she definitely didn't want to do. |
Sun brought Ruby to a different restaurant nearby. "This place is pretty good, and not too expensive, so I come here a lot." He explained.
Coming up behind Blake, he saw just who they were helping and growled. Knowing Blake had seen first, he grabbed her hand and squeezed it quickly. "We'll save his ass and use it as blackmail so he can't ever tell anyone." He whispered to her, before pulling his sword and turning to confront a large Beowulf. Hikari smiled lightly. She felt lucky to have a boyfriend who thought so highly of her and tried to help her so much. "Well, there is a way we could test the first idea safely...it would be difficult to watch, though." She said. Itachi chuckled and nodded. "Absolutely. Oh, we're moving again." He said, noticing that the ferris wheel had started going again. They were headed back down. "What ride do you want to go on after this one?" |
(*Blink* 8 guests are viewing this thread as I post this. damn)
Really?" Ruby asked, surprised. It was the first time seeing such a restaurant and since Sun said he ate here several times, she knew that they wouldn't have to worry about discrimination against Faunus. Blake smiled lightly as she heard Naruto's words, hoping that they could use the blackmail to success. But right now, she couldn't worry about that and focused on the fight. Pulling back on the ribbon, she cut another Ursa Major and a beowolf in half before switching it into pistol mode and shooting another of the wolf grimm that was trying to sneak up on her Naruto. "What do you have in mind?" Areku asked curiously. "Well...I chose the Ferris Wheel, I think it's only fair that you get to pick something Itachi-kun" Amaya replied as they started their descent. "And thank you...for wanting to help" she said softly. |
((Apparently we have fans.))
Sun nodded. "Yeah. The owners are a human/faunus couple, so they don't discriminate either way. That's the best part, anyone can come here and be treated well." Naruto called a thanks to Blake as he continued taking down Grimm. He returned the favor a few moments later when yet another beowulf tried to pounce on Blake and Naruto sliced through it cleanly. "You probably won't like it." Hikari said hesitantly. "Itachi-sensei's semblance is one that traps the victim in a nightmare, basically. It's called Tsukuyomi, and if he used it on me, he could create a situation where I feel threatened enough to release my own semblance." She said. Itachi nodded. "Okay, then. I'd like to try the roller coaster, if that's okay with you." |
(Apparently)
"That's good. Sis and I hate people who are like that actually," Ruby admitted. Blake called out a thanks when Naruto returned the favor and noticed that the Grimm were starting to thin out. She just knew that when this was all over that Cardin was going to try and blackmail her due to her hidden status as a Faunus, but knew that Naruto would try to counter that. And if there was anything that Naruto was good at, it was blackmailing people...when they truly deserved it that was. "You're right, I don't like the sound of it. But that doesn't mean I'm just going to dismiss it straight out of hand," he said before sighing lightly. "Back when my clan was alive...some of the things we did to learn about our aura and semblances weren't...completely legal. But that didn't mean some people didn't shy away from doing it, if that makes sense. One we get back...I'll talk to Itachi-sensei and see if we all can't figure something out, okay?" he asked. Amaya thought about that for a few seconds before nodding, knowing that she could handle a roller coaster...or so she hoped. |
Sun smiled at her. "Cool. Your sister just earned a few points in my book. Bonus points for you, too." He said, leading her inside.
Naruto noticed that the grimm were thinning out. Soon enough, the last of them were either dead or running away. With that, Naruto turned to Cardin, a sour look on his face. "Looks like you owe us." Hikari smiled up at him. "Thanks for hearing me out. I know I'm not going to like this, and Itachi-sensei certainly won't like it, either...but it's the only way. Do you..." She gulped. She had resolved to tell the others about her past as well, but she was still nervous. "Do you think Naruto-kun and Amaya-chan will understand?" Grabbing Amaya's hand, Itachi smiled as they got off the ferris wheel and headed towards the roller coaster. It wasn't super elaborate, no loops or anything like that, but it was tall and fast. "The lines not too long here, either. We got lucky tonight." He said. |
"Sis and I didn't do it for points or anything like that, it's just the right thing to do. Faunus are people too...just with an extra appendage or two," she responded as she headed inside. Though she was glad that Sun approved of Yang and her own views on the subject. Speaking of Yang, she wondered what her sister was up to before shaking her head lightly, focusing on enjoying the date with her boyfriend.
"I don't owe you freaks anything. I would have been able to take care of that all by myself," the stuck up leader for Team CRDL replied. "If anything, it's you two who owe me, seeing as it looks like the cat is out of the bag..." he added before pointing to Blake's cat ears. Though he didn't know that if he didn't drop it soon, he was going to be on the receiving end of several pranks courtesy of the fox. "I won't say for positive what they think since I'm not either of them, thank goodness," he said, adding the last part as an attempt to lighten the mood but was unsuccessful as she just stared at him. "Sorry. In all seriousness though...I think Naruto will be okay with it, seeing as you were just defending yourself from getting hurt. In fact, I bet he would say it's similar to the situation with Sasuke-teme but that you're better than him since you felt regret while he didn't. Amaya though...due to the circumstances, I don't know if she'll be okay with or not honestly. Her house did burn down after all, but on the other hand, she will most likely see that you were doing it just to protect yourself, not enjoying the use of your Semblance after you found out about it," he finished bluntly and truthfully. "But enough about that. We're on a date, and we should be having fun. Now then...is there anything else you want to do Starlight?" Amaya blushed lightly but didn't say anything as she intertwined her fingers within Itachi's. She was glad to see that it wasn't a super elaborate one, since she hadn't been on any roller coaster in a long time. Hearing Itachi's comment she couldn't help the next words out of her mouth. "I think I'm luckier though... she said soft enough so that only her boyfriend could hear her. |
"Even better." Replied Sun as they waited for a table. It wasn't terribly busy, but it was the type of place where the waiters seated you.
Naruto crossed his arms and smirked- a somewhat unnerving expression, coming from him. "Really, Cardin? Are you sure about that? Because we only came hear when we heard you screaming. And when we got here, I distinctly saw you struggling against a relatively small beowulf. You know, we're not too far from school. I'll bet someone else heard you screaming, too. Maybe there's someone on the way here to check on you. Now, you could be a good little boy and keep Blake-chan's secret, and in return we'll keep it quiet that you almost got beaten by a starter level Grimm. Or, you could blab to everyone, and then...well, let's say I've got a video of you struggling that I can easily show people." He said. He was bluffing about the video, however his poker face was damn near perfect. There was no way Cardin could know that he wasn't telling the truth. Hikari smiled slightly, though she was still a little bit troubled. "Thank you, Ark-kun. You've been really helpful." She said, kissing him on the cheek. "The only other thing i can think of to do is maybe check out the carnival." She suggested shyly. She would never admit it, but Hikari had always dreamed of going on a date to the carnival, and having her date win a stuffed animal for her. It was a childhood fantasy. Itachi looked over at Amaya, a faint smile playing over his features. He squeezed her hand gently. "Not as lucky as me." He said, teasingly arguing with her. |
"Thanks," Ruby said with a light blush as she witnessed the atmosphere inside. Seeing that it was semi-busy and that they had to wait for a table, Ruby opted to make small talk with Sun in order to pass the time.
"I have no idea as to what you're talking about," Cardin responded in mock bravado, but knew that Naruto was right. The first couple of Beowolves had gotten the drop on him and would have killed him before any of the others showed up before hearing the end tale of Naruto's threat. "There's no way in hell you have a video of all that Foxy. I claim bullshit. You can't fight and take a video at the same time, be too blurry" he responded with a slight smirk. Sometimes it helped when you had family in the video business. (totally making that up, but thought it would fit the scene) Ark blushed lightly at the kiss and listened to what his leader and girlfriend said. "Well it's a good thing that the carnival is in town. In fact, I think I heard Itachi-sensei mentioning something about it to be honest," Ark replied with his a light grin. Okay so he had conveniently eavesdropped on Itachi talking to himself about it, but it was still a fact. "Shall we get going then?" he asked, wondering what caused Hikari to suggest it so shyly since she was rarely like that. "Oh really, you think you're the luckier one?" Amaya asked as she kept up the mock arguing that he was having with her. Or at least she hoped he was only mock arguing with her. |
The small talk didn't have to last long, luckily, as a waitress came along to seat them relatively quickly. She gave them their menus and said she's come back, then left. "Pretty quick service here." Sun commented with a smile.
Naruto's smirk widened. "Who says I was holding the camera while fighting? I have cameras set up in the trees around here for security. If you don't believe me, I can just get one of them and head to school..." He said. Hikari looked delighted. "Yes, let's go!" She said enthusiastically. She had been shy to suggest the carnival in the first place, since it seemed a little childish, but then she didn't really know what was considered "adult" by other people. Itachi chuckled. "But of course. I'm someone who, for all intents and purposes, should be in prison. I've wandered, alone, nearly my whole life. People like me don't get a chance at love. But me, I got a chance not only at love, but with the woman of my dreams. I'm clearly the luckiest person in the world." He said. |
"That's good, there was this one time back in Patch where Papa, Yang and I waited forever...the food was good but the wait time was terrible," she said with a light shake of the head as she remembered that restaurant. Though their cookies were good...Smiling lightly at that thought, she looked over the menu.
"There's no way you have that many cameras up here," Cardin replied, though he really didn't want to push it, just in case the fox was telling the truth. "But I'll keep your little kitty's secret" he growled out. "Call me that again Cardin and you'll find out just what this 'little kitty' can really do," Blake hissed out. The only people she allowed to get away with the cat jokes were Yang and Naruto. Yang because they were partners and she trusted the girl with her life, while Naruto was able to get away with it since he was her boyfriend. The fact that both of them did it without malice also helped. Ark couldn't help but chuckle at Hikari's antics and got up, disposing of his trash in the process before telling her to lead the way. Amaya blushed as she heard Itachi's comment. "I'm the woman of your dreams?" she asked, surprised. |
