"I hear ya, usually with restaurants you get one or the other, but not both. It's either fast service with mediocre food, or slow service with great food. This place is awesome because it has both." Sun replied, looking at his own menu.

Naruto nodded, satisfied with the answer. "Good. Just remember that it only takes one camera pointed in the right direction to prove the truth. And one word in the right person's ear to start rumors. If there's even a hint of a whisper about Blake-chan in school, I'll take pleasure in ruining your reputation." He said, just to make sure to really drive the point home.

Hikari did so happily, after disposing of her trash, of course. They were about a half-hour's walk from where the carnival was set up, but Hikari set a brisk enough pace that they arrived within fifteen minutes.

Itachi blushed slightly. He wasn't used to openly sharing his feelings, so the fact that he had said that out loud surprised even him. After a moment, he nodded. "Yes...you are." He said.

"Really?" Ruby asked with surprise as she looked over her menu, wondering what to get. She didn't want to get something to expensive after all...

Blake sighed lightly as she witnessed Naruto bluff his way out of Cardin finding out about her faunus status. After he stomped away, she let out a light giggle. "That was pretty sly of you, making him think you have a video of all that," she admitted before giving him a light kiss on the cheek. "But thank you...for sticking up for me"

Areku noticed the fast pace that Hikari had set but didn't say anything about it...for now. Perhaps later he would lightly tease her about it, but that would be for later. Seeing the carnival entrance in sight, the last Tenjin noticed her starting to slow down. Well, there was one quip that he couldn't resist right now. "You know, if I didn't know better I would say you copied Ruby's semblance just then," he said with a light smirk.

Amaya had to close her eyes for a second in order to focus on staying in the physical plane, so flustered after hearing him admit that she was the girl of his dreams...ever since the incident, she had told herself she didn't need anyone, but now...now she wasn't so sure she was in the right back then.

Sun nodded. "Yeah. Don't worry about the price, by the way. Get anything you want, I can pay for it." He said, as if reading her mind.

Naruto chuckled, blushing slightly. "No problem, B-chan. Actually, it wasn't a complete lie. I have a few cameras back at school ready to record, and I was thinking of putting them up here to make sure no one stole our basket. I just didn't get around to doing it." He said.

((Um...sure?))

Hikari blinked, then chuckled. "I guess I was a little excited..." She said sheepishly.

Itachi was having similar issues. He had resigned himself to being alone forever, had even convinced himself that he liked being alone. Then Amaya came along, and even as he fell for her he hadn't been able or willing to admit that he could need her. Admitting it out loud now made it real. It meant that he didn't want to be alone, and that maybe...just maybe, he didn't have to. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just sprung that on you so suddenly." He said, feeling bad for putting her on the spot.

(I figured they were going to the same area that Amaya and Itachi were at, that's all)

"If you're sure about it..." Ruby said, though still didn't want to exploit that offer he just gave to her. Though that hamburger did look good from the description and picture...

Blake couldn't resist the laugh that came from her. "You truly give your faunus nature credit Na-kun. You're as sly as a fox, I swear" she replied. Then again, Cardin didn't need to know that he was only told a half truth after all.

Ark raised an eyebrow at that. "Only a little?" he asked teasingly.

"No, it's alright. I'm just glad you can express yourself Itachi-kun," Amaya responded. She was happy that she was the reason he had broken out of his shell.

((lol yeah you're right.))

"Of course I'm sure." Sun said with a grin. "I wouldn't offer if I wasn't sure." He already knew he was getting the chicken salad sandwich.

Naruto blushed slightly and rubbed the back of his head, a fox-like grin on his face. "That's definitely a first. No one's ever called me an "intelligent" name before." He said, seeming quite happy.

Hikari placed her hands on her hips, playing cool. "But of course. I'm nothing if not completely in control of my emotions." By the time she finished the sentence, she was giggling uncontrollably.

Itachi gave a small smile. "I'm glad, too. It's a valuable gift you've given me. I hope...that I can do the same for you." He said.

Ruby dropped the subject, remembering the compromise that she made with him earlier. "Alright then" she said, though she still felt a little bad about letting him spend money on her. She was definitely not one of those women.

Blake smirked at that, and she knew what she said next would be because she hung out with Yang too often, but it had to be said. "That's because you don't often give us a reason to call you something along those lines," she responded. Though the smirk showed that she was only teasing him, not meaning it in the slightest.

Ark just shook his head at that. "Whatever you say Starlight. Whatever you say," he said with a light chuckle. "So...what should we do first, now that we're here?" he asked.

"I'm glad that I can help you then Tachi-kun" Amaya said softly, hoping that his wish would come true; that he would be able to help her...within time. She didn't even realize her slip of his name.

Sun felt a little bad for pushing the issue, but he wanted to make a good impression. His pride as a man- and the thought of what her sister would do to him otherwise- stopped him from letting Ruby pay on the first date. "Hey, we'll switch off, okay? If you decide to give me a second shot, you can pay for dinner." He said, trying to compromise.

Naruto laughed, rubbing the back of his head. "Well, we can't have people thinking I'm smart, you know? I've got a reputation to keep up, and besides if people think I'm smart, they might expect me to act that way all the time. Too much work." He joked back.

Hikari looked around, considering the question. "How about...the roller coaster?" She said, eyes lighting up. Hikari was definitely the type to go straight for the terrifying rides.

Itachi noticed the slip, however, and blushed a little. He wasn't usually one for nicknames, but he liked it when Amaya used that one. "Me too, Maya-chan." He said.

"I just have to make sure sis doesn't try anything with you though...sometimes she can be a bit overprotective of me, but I would like to go on a second date with you, definitely," she said, rambling. It sounded like a good idea and was definitely something she could agree with.

Blake just rolled her eyes at that comment. "That sounds as if you don't want to do any work...and if a certain heiress had heard you say that, I highly doubt she would want to help us do any type of research on the 'Super Faunus'" she responded. The cat faunus knew that he didn't mean it that way, but it would definitely sound like it if that was the case.

"Roller Coaster I can do...I think," he said before chuckling lightly. "Well Hikari-chan, it seems like someone else has the same idea as you did," he said before pointing ahead of them, seeing their teammate and her boyfriend/their teacher.

Amaya grinned at that as they waited in line, though glad that it was short. She didn't realize that her teammates had spotted her and Itachi yet either.

Sun looked up at Ruby, and smiled. "Really? You mean you really do want a second date?" He asked happily. "Thanks! I-I mean, that's great! Er...I mean, cool. Cool." He tried to save his dignity by looking cool.

Naruto sobered up at that. "I didn't mean it that way. I was just kidding." He said. He would be the first to admit that he wasn't very intelligent. It was never about dodging work.

Hikari looked over to see that Ark was right. Itachi and Amaya were standing in line for the roller coaster. "Oh, wow! Great minds, huh? Hey, Itachi-sensei! Maya-chan!" She called, waving at them as she approached.

Itachi heard someone calling him, and turned to see Hikari headed their way with Ark in tow. "Oh, Hikari-chan, Areku-kun. What brings you here?" He asked.

Ruby giggled at that before the waiter came over to them and asked for drinks. Ruby ordered a Dr. Pipper (think that is right, but I don’t remember the drinks that were used *sweatdrop*) and watched as Sun ordered his own drink. After that, the waiter asked if the two of them were on a date or not.

”I know you were kidding Na-kun, but others might not take it that way. Anyways, we should probably head back…” she said with a light sigh, figuring that there date was over for now. Though it was quite fun while it lasted.

Amaya heard her name being called and turned around, surprised to see her team leader and partner waving at them, but was glad to see them all the same. Especially since Ark said they were on a date as well before nodding at her teammate's question.

"We're on a date, and I assume you two are as well?" Areku asked as Amaya nodded.

Sun ordered a water, then blushed at the waiter's question. "W-Well, yeah...I guess we are." He answered, looking at Ruby as if asking whether that was okay to say.

Naruto sighed a little. He didn't want the date to be over yet, but he supposed saving and blackmailing a jerk was a pretty good mood killer. "Yeah, okay. If you want to." He said.

Itachi nodded. "You assume correctly, Areku-kun. We were just about to ride the roller coaster. I'm going to guess that Hikari-chan chose this particular ride?"

Hikari blushed a little. "Yes, actually. But Ark-kun agreed, or I wouldn't have forced him to come here."

Ruby saw that Sun was looking at her questionably, almost asking if it was okay to call this a date or not. Giving her boyfriend a light nod, she grinned lightly as well.

"It's not like we can do this again sometime in the future..." Blake responded, though secretly she was planning on surprising him with something this time. Once they made it to the clearing, she stopped for a second and placed the bow back on her head, securing it and making sure her ears were hidden.

Areku blushed lightly at that, silently glad to know that Hikari wasn't going to force him into doing anything along those lines. "Itachi-sensei...when we get back to Beacon, can I talk to you? In private?" he asked. He told Hikari that he was going to help her and he meant it.

Sun grinned a little when he saw Ruby nod, knowing that it meant they were officially on a date. Once their orders were taken and the waiter left, he smiled again at Ruby. "So, are we official now? Like, we're dating and it's public?"

Naruto nodded. Once they made it back to the clearing, he picked up the remains of their picnic and waited for Blake to finish with her bow. He held out his free arm for her. "Shall we head back, m'lady?"

Itachi raised an eyebrow, but nodded. Based on the way Hikari looked away at the moment, he guessed it had something to do with her. "Very well." He said.

"I would like that, if you're okay with it?" Ruby asked, a little uncertain. She knew that if that was the case then she'd have to deal with Faunus hater idiots but that honestly didn't matter with her.

Blake finished tying her bow and making sure that it was in place. Once she finished, she noticed that Naruto had finished cleaning up their trash. Hearing his comment, she blushed lightly before looking down. "I'm no lady..."

"Thank you Itachi-sensei," Ark said before getting back into line, noticing that Amaya was looking at them curiously, before looking over at Hikari, wondering if he should be the one to tell Amaya about Hikari's past or if she wanted to do it when they got back to the dorm.

Amaya looked at her teammates and her boyfriend with a look of curiosity at the three of them, wondering just what was going on.

"Y-yeah, that's fine with me." Sun said, nodding enthusiastically.

Naruto tilted his head. "Sure you are. Just 'cause a girl fights and can be rough, doesn't mean she's not a lady." He said.

Suddenly on the spot, Hikari swallowed hard and looked at the ground. "I'll explain everything later, when the whole team is together. Okay?" She said uncertainly.

Ruby smiled at Sun's comment genuinely. "Thank you," she said before the waiter came back with their drinks and asked if they were ready to order.

Blake smiled at that before walking over to him and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks. Not only for thinking that, but also for putting up with me," she said softly as she lightly intertwined her fingers with his. She was really glad that she had found Naruto again after all these years.

Amaya nodded at that, knowing that Hikari would tell all of them eventually. Her leader hadn't let them down yet, nor had she broken a promise without a good reason before. "Alright, I trust you" was all that she said. She didn't want this type of mood to weigh down their date...

Sun smiled and nodded at the waiter. "Yeah, I'm ready, but ladies first. Ruby, what would you like?" He asked.

Naruto was a bit confused by that. "What do you mean put up with you? You make it sound like there's something negative." He said. He enjoyed spending time with her, there was nothing to "put up with" as far as he was concerned.

Itachi was feeling the same way. "Oh look, we're almost to the front." He said, changing the subject to something lighter.

Ruby thanked Sun before turning to the waiter. "If I could have the chicken sandwich, no pickles and no mayo please," she answered. When asked for a side, she asked for a small salad with the dressing on the side. After she had ordered, the waiter turned towards Sun.

"It's just...here I am, a Faunus that's hiding her status and trying to be a human, whereas you, Velvet and many other Fauni aren't afraid of showing people who they are," she admitted softly. She hated her weakness of not being able to show her true self.

Ark and Amaya laughed at Itachi's statement but noticed that he was telling the truth. Both Amaya and Areku grabbed the hand of their date and intertwined their fingers lightly, knowing that it wouldn't be too much longer until they were on the ride.

Sun glanced at the menu one more time before speaking. "I'll have a roast beef sandwich, extra mayo, and steamed broccoli for a side please." He said.

Naruto shook his head. "It's not a question of bravery, B-chan. You don't hide because you want to, but because you have to. You were part of the White Fang, and if anyone recognized you it could be dangerous." He said reasonably.

Hikari blushed a little when Ark took her hand. Before they knew it, it was their turn to find a car and get on. "Let's sit in the front!" She suggested, pointing at the empty front car.

The waitress nodded before taking their menus and headed back towards the kitchen in order to have their orders made.

Blake looked down lightly at that. "I...I never thought about it like that," she admitted softly.

Amaya blushed lightly as she felt Itachi's hand in her's, but didn't say anything. Hearing Hikari, she laughed lightly. "Where would you like to sit Itachi-kun?" she asked. It was his decision to go on this ride, so he should get the decision of where to sit.

Sun thanked the waitress and turned back to Ruby. "I can't wait to eat." He said, unsure of what else to say.

Naruto smiled softly. "You should try thinking that way more often. You don't give yourself enough credit. He said, optimistic as always.

Itachi thought for a moment. "I prefer to sit towards the back, personally." He said. Truthfully, he didn't care all that much, but he didn't want to spend his whole date with Amaya hanging around Hikari and Ark. And he was sure they felt the same.

Ruby nodded as well, unsure as to what to say next. Usually when that happened she said the first thing that was on her mind, usually about a previous mission or a weapon she found interesting. But she had a feeling that Sun wouldn't like that.

Blake giggled lightly at that. "Thanks Naruto," she said after getting her giggles under control as they headed back towards the Academy. She had enjoyed today and hoped that they could do it again in the future.

(*waits for you to recognize your mistake Gem-chan*)

Once they had sat down up front, he admitted to Hikari that while it was nice to see Amaya and Itachi that they shouldn't spend the whole day with the couple, and he had a feeling that Itachi was thinking on same things. Waiting for the ride to start, his thoughts went back to what Hikari told him about her semblance and about her brother...hoping that going back to the memory itself with the help of Itachi could force her through the block she subconsciously placed on herself.

Amaya nodded and followed Itachi to the back of the roller coaster.

((Oh shoot ! *fixes* why does that always happen?))

Finally, Sun couldn't take the awkward silence anymore. "So, tell me about your weapon. I heard a rumor that you built it yourself?" He asked.

"You're welcome." Naruto said, crossing his arms behind his head. It wasn't long before they reached Beacon and had to go inside. "I'll walk you back to your room." He said.


Hikari nodded, she had thought the same thing. She liked seeing the others, but that day was about her and Ark. "After this, let's go play some of the booth games" She said as the ride started up.

(*teasing* Because Wolfie is a blonde?)

Ruby grinned lightly at that. "That's actually quite true. I made my sweetheart while at Signal Academy," she said with a grin. "If it weren't for Uncle Qrow though, I wouldn't have been able to even make her in the first place," she added after a little bit, silently wondering if the few friends she had made at Signal were doing okay now.

"Why thank you my good sir," Blake responded with a light tease, though it was nothing as bad as her partner was capable of doing.

Yang sighed lightly as she looked up from her homework and looked at the door for a few seconds. She knew that Sun was treating her sister with respect and all that other good stuff, but as the older sister, and pretty much the person that raised her, Yang was a little worried about her sister.

"Will you stop that? Your dolt of a sister is fine, and if not, she would have sped back here by now," Weiss responded with a tone of annoyance. Then again, with everyone out on dates, it was kinda nice to have the dorm to herself...even if she had to put up with Yang.

"Good idea," he said before the roller coaster started to move.

((0.0 but Wolfie is a redhead...))

Sun looked duly impressed. "That's pretty cool. It must be nice having someone to help you with stuff like that." He said admiringly.

Naruto chuckled and took her arm, bowing. "It is my pleasure, milady." He said, carrying on the joke.

After the ride was over, Hikari climbed out of the car, giggling. "That was great! I'm a little dizzy now." She said, her cheeks rosy from wind and exhilaration.
