Right now water is what the bugs are out looking for! D: We keep food scraps and crumbs to a minimum because of the bugs.

Oooh, yeah, that's a no go then. >.<

We still haven't unpacked everything because of the bugs. That and we don't really have furniture...

zigbigadorlube 06-07-2014 11:15 PM

Ugh. I just saw a dead cockroach in the hallway so I guess it's that time of the year.

~LONGCAT~ 06-07-2014 11:18 PM

I like seeing the dead ones more than the live ones. Only one came out while I was cooking today!! Huzzah!

I hate walking to the bathroom at night. That's the only place I've ever seen them in the apartment.

Probably coming out for the water. Check under your sink to see if you have any holes in the wall, usually near the pipes.

zigbigadorlube 06-08-2014 12:12 AM

We do but I'm not sure what I can do about them really...

~LONGCAT~ 06-08-2014 12:14 AM

:/ We use steel wool and the big hole behind the stove had expanding foam put in by maintenance,

zigbigadorlube 06-08-2014 12:17 AM

Steel wool might work... I'm hesitant to do anything drastic because I'm not sure what we can and can't do really.

~LONGCAT~ 06-08-2014 12:22 AM

steel wool will also help against mice as well. and it's easy to take out if you need to.

Too bad I was at the grocery store today. I'll have to see if I can find some at Rite Aid.

~LONGCAT~ 06-08-2014 02:35 AM

Always worth a shot!! :3

Yeah, I've found that the pharmacies around here tend to carry different items than you might not expect.

The limes do look pretty, don't they? Reading these posts I am once again grateful that we don't have these kind of insect problems in the UK!

I chucked a juvenile house spider (he was about an inch across)out of the window (corridor window, lol, he won't be coming back into my home!) yesterday, but apart from the odd bee or house fly getting in through an open window, and maybe a little beetle or a ladybird, or an occasional moth, none of the influx that you guys get!
