Mordecai tossed a Pebble down, and smoke enveloped the House. Picking up Athena, Mordecai ran to the Nearest tree, and climbed up.

" What are you doing?" Athena shoved him " All my spells are in there." she frowned " I have to keep my stuff safe." she played with her necklace " if they think they can mess with a demonic mage they have another thing coming."

Athena glared then went to get out of the tree and slipped cushioning her fall with a spell " Ow." she grumbled standing her vision went blank and she fell back unconscious.

She would wake with a cold rag on her head, and a blanket of leaves on her. Mordecai was making stew in a Corner, along with drinking a Cup of Tea. The smell was intoxicating.

" Oh my head." Athena rolled to her " where am I?" she asked looking around confused the last thing she remember was falling out of the tree.

Mordecai gave her a cup of tea, and propped her up with a pillow. "Your in my Hut. You got knocked out cold. I brought you here, so you could heal. You had a cut on your head, but nothing more. "he said. He then gave her a bowl of fresh Venison Stew. "Eat up. "he said.

Athena stared at it " You take a bite first." she said suspicious. " I don't trust you even if you did bring me here to heal you could still try something."

Mordecai sighed, and dipped a spoon in. He then gulped it down, and handed it to her. (with a new spoon)

Athena waited a few minutes when he didn't die she stared eating feeling her strength come back. " Its good." she sounded surprised.

"You learn to make due, with a forest under your protection. "he said, adding a spice to his. "This is fresh Venison. Hunted it this morning. "he said.

Athena blinked then shrugged she had killed her share of animals to summon demons they liked blood so she wasn't sqwimish. " At least its fresh." she ate the rest of it. " makes me feel better."

"Whenever I hunt, I make sure they suffer as little pain as possible. "he said, eating his own. He then handed her a glass of Herbal tea.

" Guess thats were we differ in are hunt demons like pain." Athena chuckled sipping the tea " its works if it human but animals work just fine."

"We learn not to take more then what we need. The Forest is alive, in it's own way. The Demon Tree is proof of that. "he said.

Athena shrugged then stood up " thanks for the hospitality archer but I should be going."

"I wouldn't. You shattered your knee-cap in the fall. I managed to apply a charm to heal it, but It will take a day for it to heal properly. "he said, removing the blanket, and pointing to her knee, which had a symbol, written in blood, on her leg. She felt nothing from there, but if she brushed it away, she would feel 'alot'.

Athena sighed " Well then you need to get me to my cottage my healing things are there and I am not going to leave it empty so Berthy and snoop." she scowled at the thought of the demon " I could always call that horse who owes me a favor...nah he wouldn't fit in here."

Mordecai carefully binded her up, as to not hurt her, and picked her up. He then climbed down the tree, and started walking towards the house.

Berthy was already there snooping " HEY!" Athena yelled causing him to turn and grin " Looks like someone got hurt." he walked over and took her from him focusing " Nothing a little demon magic can't fix." he placed her upright " There and as a reward." he looked to the archer licking his lips " You can have a rabbit." she said taking one from its cage " No chérie I want the human." he took a step towards him.
