Mordecai nocked an arrow, and pointed it at Berthy's throat. "Touch my human......and Die."He said. You noticed his Eyes were different.

" Well, well, well a archer who took the pledge of a demon either that or your half demon." Berthy smirked " Alright brother I'll leave you be." he took the rabbit from Athena " So long as you leave my girl alone."

Mordecai lowered his bow. "My concern is protecting my Domain......these Warder's and I share a common goal. I don't know what his interest is the Foul Blood is. Not my Problem."he said.

Berthys eyes flashed " Don't make fun of my girl." he growled. " it's alright Bartholomew I've been called worse." Athena warned gentle " Besides its not my fault the archers started something." she shrugged " not like I enjoy being involved anyways but I took an oath to the grand poo bah."

Barthy grimaced " Great just what I don't need." he sighed " Come on brother lets talk more of this in private." he vanished. " Hey I still have to kick your butt you messing with my stuff." Athena sighed knowing it was pointless he was gone.

The Demon followed him, out of the archer. Mordecai looked at her. "Well......surprise?" he asked.

" We can't let are brethren get involved not while we both have things that need saving out here." Barthy glanced at the cottage with a fond look

Athena shook her head " Demons keep odd company so not really." she went to her books taking one and some supplies " I have to strengthen my wards so either stay here or keep out of the way."

"I'll place one of my own. If a Tracker encounters your Cottage, he'll notice the ward, and disregard it. "He said.

"It's not something we can control. A Hydra has awoken, and is marking North, Towards the Mage Capitol of Solstheim. It's unclear what the formerly mindless horde is doing now, but they appear to be guided by something. "he said.

Barthy made a face " Well as long as they stay away from my girl." he glanced over as the cottage door opened.

" Come on then." Athena set off to redo her wards her land was small just enough to grow vegetables and house a flock of chickens and of course her house.

"That's the thing. The route they're taking is heading this way. We might need more then just our wits and powers : We need an Alliance between the Mages and Warders. "he said.

Mordecai placed an Articulate symbol on her Cottage. it resembled a Golden Leaf.

" Oh yeah because either side will join the other." Berthy sighed " Though those two seem fine with each other maybe theres hope." he nodded to Athena and Mordecai.

" You know I don't know your name. I'm Athena." She held out her hand so he could shake it.

"Maybe. Our Mindless brethren arn't coming here on a Whim, someone or something is leading them. if they can realize the greater threat, we can unite them. These two are just the start." he said.

"I'm Mordecai, Warder of this Forest. "He said, shaking it.

" Well I'll go to the mages if you go to the archers." Barthy smiled softly.

Athena blinked " Well if were going whole title. I'm Athena demonic mage third level." It was the highest level before you slipped into a land not many mages returned from.

"My boy is the last of a Royal bloodline. They'll follow him." He said

"Huh. Before they died, my father tried to annul the tower of mages. Didn't work, even though he was king." He said.

" He was what?" Athena blinked at him " Your serious. Oh lord." she sighed. " Yeah well we mages don't like royal ding butts telling us we can't help each other master are powers."

Barthy blinked " Course." he chuckled " Well I'm off.'' he vanished.

"Father was afraid the mages would try to overthrow him. The reason I'm in the warders, is because I was exiled." He said. "I spoke against my father, and he banished me. Didn't do much, since a month later, all my family was killed. Believe he did me a favor." He said. "So I guess that makes me the Last Hier to the throne."he said.

Athena blinked she knew what it was like to have no family she couldn't remember hers at all. " Do you feel like taking back the throne?" she asked curious.

"Sometimes, but I feel at peace in the forest......however, I do feel anger. The person that killed my family still lives. If the day ever comes, I shall make sure my arrow pierces his throat. "He said.

" Or her throat." Athena said offhandedly " Could have been a girl." she smirked " We are evillier then you boys think."

"Possibly. Never really cared." He said. You noticed his family crest on his bow : The House of Wolves crest.

Athena frowned at the crest " well you might be to late to kill who ever did it they might be dead." The crest looked familiar for some reason.

"No. They're not. I just....know it. I don't know how, but I do." He said

" Maybe." Athena shook her head with a sigh " Maybe not." she pondered for a moment " Well it was nice hanging with you but I should go."

"Wait....."he looked at her. "Answer a question for me. Why haven't you tried to kill me? You've had plenty of chances"he said.
