Xhast looked at Lori. "Are all human females like that?"

"No just her." Lori sighed. "She feels like children are unneeded."

"You humans will never cease to confuse me."he said, rocking back and forth lightly. A box fell out of his pocket.

"At least we aren't boring." Lori chuckled ignoring the box.

"True enough. Angel's are a pain in the ass, and demons are dull. Human's keep things lively. "he said,

"We live short lives so we liven things up as much as we can." Lori shrugged.

"I used to wonder how you creatures managed to get this far. I think it's because of your ingenuity. "he said, cracking his neck.

Lori blushed a little. "I have to go check on her." she hurried off to check on Athena.

Mordecai was looking at a Book in Athena's room, trying to read quietly.

Athena was in the library hiding in a corner. "There you are." Lori sat next to her. "I'm not talking about this." Athena scowled. "I know." Lori smiled.

Mordecai fell asleep at the table, a jingling bag on his side.

Athena fell asleep in her corner with Lori her head in Lori's lap and Lori's head on top of hers.

Mordecai woke later, and looked around, his vision blurry.

Athena woke and started yelping when her head hit Lori's "Aw sorry." she grimaced as Lori grimaced rubbing her chin.

Mordecai stumbled out of the chair. He felt dehydrated, and looked pale as hell. He didn't make it two feet before he passed out, onto the floor.
