Chloe snorted at him again and swatted him gently with one paw the size of a salad plate. And then she leapt down lightly and padded towards her room to change back.
Clint grinned and relaxed for a little while longer up in the rafters. It was nice to be there and not be judged for it.
Chloe walked under him on her way back to the kitchen and jumped up to rap on the rafters.
"Come help me do some pre-dinner foraging." |
"On a night where Nat's cooking?" Clint asked. "I got swiped at for that last time Nat cooked. Only you and Steve can get away with foraging before dinner." He paused. "And maybe Athena, Nat likes her."
Chloe snorted. "You're helping me carry things out to the living room," she justified. "Besides, Natasha is still in the living room with Athena."
Clint snorted.
"I'm blaming you if I lose fingers for his," he said, though he couldn't help but grin a bit. He dropped down from the rafters. |
"Feel free," Chloe said, leading the way into the kitchen. She tossed an apple at Clint before starting to look around for something else fast and easy.
Clint caught the apple and promptly took a bite, following Chloe around the kitchen.
"Oi," Chloe protested when she heard the crunch. "Apple thief." She grinned as she grabbed another apple, along with a jar of Nutella and some pretzel sticks.
"Hey, you threw it at me, it was fair game," Clint said, smirking.
"Bah." Chloe shooed him out of the kitchen and went to go perch in the living room and work on her snack. Protein would have been better, but someone had eaten all the jerky already. She guessed Tasha.
Clint snickered and went to perch on a chair as well. The controller for his video game was already there, and he picked it up with one hand.
Chloe snorted at that but settled in to her snack, watching the others for the moment.
Natasha got up and went to go shift and start cooking. Steve, on the other hand, was content to stay a lion and sprawl across half the floor. |
Bruce was already making his way into the kitchen to start cooking. He didn't even blink when he saw Zee in the living room with the others.
Zee granted him a quick nod before settling in again. It was quite interesting to see how relaxed everyone was with each other, and quite refreshing.
When Bruce actually started cooking, Athena sighed and set her book down.
"Someone should probably go poke Tony," she commented. "Let him know dinner's started." |
"I'll tell him," Natasha called from her room. She padded back to the workshop in bare feet, watching the fae for a few moments.
Tony was elbow-deep in wires and circuits, a pair of pliers in one hand and a solder iron in the other. He was muttering to himself as he connected things together and occasionally swearing at it all.
"Tony," Natasha called. "Come on. Time to unbury yourself. Dinner will be soon."
Tony waved a hand absently, the other connecting a pair of wires together.
"Dinner later," he said. |
"Dinner soon," Natasha countered. "Don't make me come back and get you again, Stark."
"Right in the middle of something," Tony muttered as he coiled a wire tightly around a copper ring. "Be down at some point."
Natasha let her threat hang and instead headed back to the kitchen to help cook.
Tony wasn't intimidated in the slightest, and kept working. When he hit a decent stopping point, though, he did pause and put down his tools. He could smell dinner, and it smelled good.
It was fortunate he stopped when he did, because Natasha was about to go get him. But she hummed when she saw him coming out on his own and made her way back to the kitchen.
