I would have taken accounting instead of a stupid subject titled " Life competencies and Citizenship Education and Governance". Yes, I did have a horrible subject like that [insane]
Hello Maha! [boogie] |
You know what, I would have taken ANY subject other than accounting. I discovered shortly after my finals that there was a subject called Nautical Sciences that you could take. FREAKING NAUTICAL SCIENCES!!! And I was stuck balancing and debiting and crediting and being so utterly bored [XP]
|
[XD] Yeah, I realized I could have taken Arabic, heck even taken Japanese. Or any other language. And they would have been way more simple. They even had 'secondary language Tamil' which would have been extremely easy considering that we do first language Tamil. Though this stupid subject wasn't really hard at all and most of us managed an A, it was all politics politics and politics, and memorize memorize and memorize. Stupid school [stare]
Lexa was wondering... how come those decomposing micro organisms in the soil don't eat the plant seeds? [ninja] |
Indeed. But, thankfully, no more accounting for me [boogie]
Oh, that's a pretty interesting question. Never thought of that. Hmm, maybe it's because seeds aren't alive. Well, they are alive, but they're basically little pockets of energy waiting to grow. I think it might have something to do with that, but I could be wrong. Must research [illgetu] |
And no more history for Lexa [boogie] Though biology.. >_<
I searched around and I read so severe that it has to do with their seed coat protecting them. Could that be? |
*pets Lexi* It's okay. Persevere [squee]
Oh yes! Stupid me! [XP] The seed coat is non-living. The micro organisms only break down living matter, so when they come in contact with the seed coat and detect that it's non-living they disregard it [boogie] |
Persevere?
..Is this response to my 'so severe'? [insane] It was supposed to be 'something' [XD] Stupid phone [rofl] Ooh I see [eager] But then again, the plant cell wall is non-living too, right? Then why do plants decompose after it wilts and falls off? Do they break and turn living or something? |
[rofl]
Not really. Persevere = Keep going [:D] You have learnt a new word [boogie] Wait, what wilts and falls off? The cell wall? |
[rofl] Persevere [boogie] A new word, yes! [XD]
No the plants [ninja] |
I know stuff about the human body, I don't know much else about biology in general xD
|
I'm still milling over Lexi's question. I am literally talking to myself [XD]
Okay, so plants wilt, then they die, then they decompose. The cell wall breaks down. Everything within the cell wall is living, right? |
Yes, cell walls are made up of living cells.
|
Okay, so besides the cell wall and all that, the plant itself is living organism on a whole. So, that's why it decomposes after it dies, I think. You have to be organic to decompose.
|
ugh I'm in a shitty mood.

What's wrong Lumpy?
|
Had a shitty day at work then took an evening nap which always messes me up. I took a shower now though so I feel somewhat better.
