Well, I haven't been on Rec yet today, I was distracted reading a manga online and the story seemed familiar and I looked it up and it turns out that it had been made into a Hollywood movie; Edge of Tomorrow. xD I had wanted to see that movie but didn't watch it but I knew the gist of the storyline so no wonder the manga's storyline had seemed so familiar!

A novel, actually. xD I guess it was popular enough that it not only got a manga but also a movie adaptation as well! Though naturally, being a Hollywood movie, they switched the main guy from some Japanese dude to Tom Cruise. xDDDD

Ugh I hate filler episodes. [headdesk]

I wish the last chapter had been more detailed about the 'life afterwards' of everyone. It was too short IMO. [no]

Yeah, but I keep feeling like it's not really 'canon'. :c

Canon as in...like, something from the original works by the original author/artist, etc. Dunno how to explain it properly. [sweat]

Since the anime is drawn by an animation production company, it's not done by the mangaka, though the mangaka may provide blueprints and stuff, but the actual drawings would be done by other people and sometimes fillers are added because the anime has caught up to the manga and they don't have any new materials and needed to draw the story out. Depending on the mangaka, the level that they oversee the anime productions are also different...like some just let the company do whatever they want and others may want to make sure the anime doesn't go too off the road.
