Ragnarok mostly uses mouse for attacking if I remember correctly, though of course special skills still requires hotkeys...

...And now I remember why I don't like playing MMORPGs so much; I hate hotkeys and hotkeys all over the place. I never hit the right one. [gonk]

oh well you probably think its low level cause you aren't using the magic skills? every level you'll get skill points, then you can unlock the skills. and you can set those hotkeys, which i set mine to left shift, left alt, and z. because then all three fingers can go at once easily. [rofl][rofl]

each town has a bank! so no matter where you end up there will be one c:
and yeah, only one server, but multiple channels. channel one has the most people usually, so I stick between channel one and two, or if I don't want to be bothered at all I'll go to like channel 7 where there is like nobody.

Is there a way to change the 'take all' buttons when looting? I changed the take one button to Space, but the take all still requires a Shift key. [sweat]

I'll go and read through the controls manual page on OG again tonight. [headdesk]

I added the Wolf Lamb skill I think? It's pretty powerful but I keep missing [XD];; Need moar points for my passive accuracy skill. And why I think Soul Breakers are slow because they take time to recharge. I need to get used to the attack keys so as soon as I finish using Wolf Lamb I can quickly use normal attacks.

One thing that bothers me is that the player moves forward a little when attacking, and they only attack in one direction so if the enemy gets behind you you have to manually turn around (and keep missing) before attacking the enemy who's also moving at the same time. [gonk] Or maybe it's lag that's making me turn around so slowly...

I had fun whacking all the wild dogs last night. [eager]

I preferred World of Warcraft's controls. Very easy. :p

actually once you get a pet (which you can get fromo the bank) it will auto loot for you! c: and you can move all the keys around in that top bar in the middle, if that makes sense? o-o it might be the lag, I experience lag from time to time, especially when I'm in the channels with lots of people. there is a maintenance coming up in like the next day or so; which might address that.

@Eli: Haven't played WoW before. What's it like? :O

@Clock: Really?! Wow, definitely need to get a pet. O_O
Yeah, I read about the maintenance this morning while looking up controls. Hopefully it'll lag less and stop kicking me off the server. xD;;
I mean like I know the hotkey bar on the top with their hotkeys, but can I change, say, A to something like O? Rather than only dragging them around to other predetermined hotkeys?

It's a really fun game! Though, I stopped playing because Blizzard is too slow with new content. Also, that $15-a-month subscription fee is killer. :P

yes! but I just made a new character to see what the bank offered and it was completely different from what my original character got. so I don't really know what you'll get, but you can get good stuff from the bank. I think you get a pet from a quest as well, but I'm not 100% on that. And there is a pet shop, though I've never looked at it really. [sweat]

I think I briefly looked at the pets page but didn't pay attention because it was for level 6 and above and I was level 3 at the time. [XD];; I'll go and try and find the quest for the pet too. Do they give you only a starter pet or are there different types to choose from or is it random? Do pets do anything besides collect loot?

I haven't checked Options yet, I'll go do that tonight. [XD]

Off topic: I'm kind of obsessed with this app game at the moment. [ninja]

It's the Disco Zoo app. It's really fun! You have your own little zoo. :P

So you get various animals to keep? :O

I don't have a smartphone yet so no fun apps for me. xD;;

Yeah! you use them to make fake money and stuff. You have to play a little puzzle game to get animals that's easy enough. You can close out the apps so the animals make money for you, but you have to open the app occasionally to wake up the animals so they'll make money for you.

Okay guys, I'll take your words for it. xD

RAGNAROK ONLINE IS MY MOST FAVORITE ONLINE GAME OF ALL TIME. I FREAKING LOVE THAT GAME. MY DESKTOP BACKGROUND RIGHT NOW IS A RAGNAROK FANART SLIDESHOW.

I used to love Ragnarok, but botters and the war against the botters destroyed the fun for me. I still love their skill sets and occupations and the monsters though. Baphomet = <333

I don't know where you played that people were botting!

...I didn't know there were any places that there weren't any botters...

They'd have all these complicated botting programs (which I know about because all the boys in my class back in junior high were playing it and they'd spend the recess using the computer in the classroom to continue setting up their botting programs) that they would have to collect stuff for them, kill monsters, level up, etc. etc...

And of course the real people who played the games were less than happy with them because bots don't have manners and would often 'steal' a kill from them. And because they're botting. Soooo....they 'wage war' against them by using a shit ton of those twigs that summon random monsters on the maps that the bots pass through. Because bots are stupid and would only use a certain path to reach the maps they're programmed to train at, they would ignore everything else in their path, and would thus be killed by the hordes of monsters on the maps they were passing through. Unfortunately, that means that for the average joe like me who are low-leveled and are actually trying to train on those maps, I get KO'd all the time. I can't level up, I can't do anything except stick around inside the towns (which is actually already an improvement because before people would often 'explode' a town by dumping twigs in them and you'd often arrive in a city to find the entire place covered in bodies lying around with an ongoing rampage everywhere)

That pretty much sucks the fun out of the entire thing.
