It's been a few days since Princess Bubblegum had any sleep. She was exhausted. Nothing made sense anymore, and everything was too loud - but the princess was determined not to let that stop her from her research. She would stay awake - just for a little while longer - and solve this. In the name of science. Her kingdom needed time travel, after all, and she would not let her citizens down.

Marciline drifted around in the night, bored and not in slightest bit tired. She flew by the candy castle and floated at the princess' window. It seemed as if bubblegum was busy working on something, but that didn't stop the vampire queen from floating into the lab. She hovered above princess bubblegum, waiting to be acknowledged or kicked out, whichever came first.

The princess sighed. "Marceline, I'm busy. This is important." She turned around from her test tubes and gave Marceline a disapproving look. She really didn't have time for her right now - she was trying to revolutionize science as Ooo knew it! There would be plenty of other opportunities to hang out with Marceline. Right now, she had to keep working.
