Yes the shinigami thing is acceptable as well as I would think you would have the touch of death or kiss of death or something like that.

Are you looking for the female to male character ratio to be about even?
Just thought I'd ask because I know some people prefer playing female characters instead of males. I for one don't have a probably playing either gender. So if need by I can play a male to help keep the ratio even.

Oh, unless I missed it somewhere, what will the setting be, anyway? Time period, ect? Will help with the character making process.

I was wondering the same thing, especially since I was thinking of having my dude be 28. ^^; He's going to be awfully mature for a 17 year old. >.<

Ercothe is a rather easygoing and laid back man. Don't confuse him withing being carefree or distracted, though, for he is anything but those. Ercothe, coming from royal blood, is very dutiful and dislikes being lazy. He prefers to keep things education and civil, often choosing his words carefully to avoid battle or confrontation. Wise beyond his years and very mature, Ercothe has become the ideal king. It's a shame he'll never seize such a role for that title belongs to his brother. Still, Ercothe does not skip out on his daily training. He's diplomatic and confident. Rational, fair, and justice, too. Natural, in the sense of his gestures and speech. He's never the kind of man to fake emotions or feelings. Perhaps suppress and hide, but never fake. Overall, Ercothe is just a very humble guy whose words and wisdom are polished to perfection. Be wary though for Ercothe can come across a tad prude, but never naive. He will understand your innuendos (usually) and will find them repulsive. It's safe to call him old-fashioned.

As sweet and sensible as Ercothe can be, the lad does have his thorns. He can come across arrogant at times, though he never means it. He also has a snapping point. He can take a lot of crap, but if you push him too far, you will unleash a hellish fury unlike nothing you've ever seen. His rage can be as fierce as a tornado and his large as a hurricane. But, for the most part, he's as gentle as a light, summer breeze.

• With great power comes great responsibility •
With his noble title and upbringing, Ercothe knows that he cannot lead by poor examples. He's taken up hobbies such as singing, horseback riding, and hunting. Why? He feels it connects him better to the common folk. Not to mention, Ercothe has always had a sweet spot for the outside world. He spent a great many years climbing mountains so he could touch the sky, or even swinging in the top of trees. He enjoys heights because it makes him feel like he's a bird, free and flying high above the ground.

Ercothe has always had a soft spot for animals. He's also very fond of nature. Often times, when he's truly at peace, you will find him singing by the pond or riding horseback through the woods. Granted, Ercothe does have his dislikes and fears. He's never been a fan of fire, often seeing it as too dangerous for one man to control. Ercothe also has a fear of snakes. He has never liked them for they remind him of evil.

I see the profiles in use are not the one that Ranie posted.

She did ask if anything was missing. And there are some things missing. Either a description section or calling out height and appearance. We'll need to know how tall our characters are. Not to mention, my image was black and white until I added the teal so eye/hair color's important. Sure, you can cover it throughout the story, but let's say we're 20 pages in and you're about to be super descriptive. Much easier to reference back to a profile than skim posts for the juicy bits. Besides, personality wasn't included. Sure, it can be determined based off likes and dislikes, but that's only if you're super specific.

Regardless, if Ranie wants us to follow a strict profile, I'll still include all that extra fluff in a huge ass section in the "extra" part. Rather than dumping everything under extra, I figured I would make the skeleton cleaner to accommodate the other sections. But again, if it proves to be an issue, I'll just lump it all under extra and still make it appealing. The profile's my cheat sheet so I'll add as much detail as I need to ensure I stay in character (and remember them).

that works... I have a book of my characters profile so that I dont miss that.

If my profile is not acceptable, then I will of course use her form. She wanted simple information, but I fee a full profile really helps develop a character rather than a simple one that includes very brief information. But as Xavi said, I will redo my profile to her specifications and just include a longer extra seciton.

I was just cureus why the use of that profile and not hers... I am not saying that it is wrong.
