Come Closer, Come Closer. (Velvet x Mobius)
Velvet:
Once upon a time, two friends take a long walk through their little town. Between evening and Twilight, they come upon a clearing they've never seen before. And too many people to flee from. Image: http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...91abf33903.jpg Name: Orchidron Wether-fjord (Using Weatherford here, just adjusting him a wee bit) Height: 6’2” Race: Elven Weight: 185 lbs Age: Questionable Likes: - Floral Tea - Bright Sunlight - Sweets - Healing Magic - Small animals - Setting pixies lose in human’s houses to cause utter mayhem -Generally causing mayhem for humans Dislikes: - Iron - Lightning - Malt Liquor - Large animals Brief Bio: He’s been around for as long as most of his court can recall. Old, and calm, with a strange streak of amusement in being cruel to mortal beings. He has no magic of his own besides an intense healing aura, though he uses offensive magic in the form of runes, talismans, and assorted staves. He’s been to war multiple times with the Unseelie Court (the dark Fae) to protect his summer lands. That doesn’t mean, however, he isn’t dark himself. He is the king of the Seelie Court the Summer Court, but other than that there’s very little kind about him. Image: http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...cd4ce3febf.jpg Name: Elise Meredith Loree Height: 5’6” Weight: 125 lbs Age: 18(?) Likes: - Playing music (especially harp) - Going to lessons - Trying on new dresses (even if she can't buy them) - Swimming -Horses -Ice skating Dislikes: -Dandelion fluff (makes her sneeze) -Small dogs -Soldiers (make her nervous) -Snakes -Taking her brother to the market Brief Bio: She has a younger brother who’s a a few years younger. She ice skates when the lake freezes over. She’s extremely outgoing, though still manages to be rather down to earth. Happy to meet new people, and often starts talking to random people, but she isn’t what one would call eccentric. She also loves to swim, and is surprisingly good with her father's pistol (she shot two rabbits once). |
http://i.imgur.com/Tud9cEy.jpg?1 Ellium Kaelin Lucario Age: Who knows Race: Fairy Description: Ellium has true blue eyes with striking long red hair that flows beneath his shoulders. He stands at 6'0 and weighs approx 165 pounds. His skin tans easily and is usually a dark shade than most other Fae. There is a scar that runs diagonally down his chest. Ellium always wears a red crystal necklace carved in a "diamond" shape. Likes: -Being outside -The color blue -Honey Tea -Nature -All animals -Playing pranks on humans -Light Spells Dislikes: -Loud Music -Foggy Days -Fire -Noisy Crowds -Pointless killing -Cold weather Personality/Bio: When some think of a fairy, they may picture a sweet creature with cute wings. Ellium has always chuckled at some lore of his race. He finds it most enjoyable when an unsuspecting human is being pranked by him. Fae aren't the most friendly of species and love twisting human's lives into crazy nightmares from time to time. Ellium is no stranger to that. Even though he does enjoy tormenting humans with his harmless pranks, he has a softer side. He loves nature, being outside, and seeks out peace and quiet when he isn't busy. Ellium isn't ruler of the Court and he isn't important in the Fae kingdom, but he could really care less about the glamor of such things. With that being said, Ellium is, however, friend's with the king of the Court. http://i.imgur.com/EKcKkcn.jpg?1 Lady Vivian Eliana Age: 21 Height: 5'5 Weight: 120 pounds Description: Medium length brown hair that reaches just below her shoulders and hazel eyes that are so light they almost appear yellow. Her skin is lightly tanned, even though she is of royal blood and she has no visible scars. Likes: Apples Strawberries Storms Long walks away from guards Strolling through the Market Practicing with her bow Learning to use other weapons The sounds of nature Animals The Color Purple Dislikes: Begging peasants (makes her sad) Dirty places Being guarded Being in small spaces War Soldiers of the wars (can be nasty jerks to her) Feeling trapped Personality/Bio: Vivian is of royal blood, she is the second child of the Queen and King. Though she is of such blood, Vivian often wishes otherwise. She has no quarrels about not inheriting the throne with her older brother, for she feels the stress of it would not be for her. She hates being constantly supervised and protected as if she were something easily broken. Unlike her other two sisters, Vivian enjoys handling weapons and learning how to use them. Her favorite is her bow. She can use swords and daggers like any man and her mother absolutely hates the idea of her daughter handling what only a man should. Vivian is a bit rebellious when it comes to her parents. Her tanned skin reveals that fact as most nobles and richer folk have very pale skin, which is brag-worthy. She spends more time outside, more time walking, more time in the woods, and more time ditching the guards than any of her siblings. |
The sun hung high in the sky, casting it's warming rays about a entire garden party. Fae of every colour and shape lounged around trees, on blankets of satin and fleece. Sweet cakes on platers made of silver and gold, sweet wine, and fruit only the Fae could grow were always within reach.
Tucked beneath an enormous weeping willow, the long fronds tied back with vines, reclined their king. Orchidron lay among a bed of pillows of every shade of purple, pink and gold. A loose, light tunic hung off his shoulders, the neck of it untied and exposing an angular collarbone. His long hair hung over his shoulder in a tight braid, interwoven with a golden string. Leather pants made for horse riding, bare feet, he was comfortable and enjoying the breezes of spring, observing his people, when a foot soldier interrupted his line of site. He lifted icy eyes, narrowing them slightly, and eased the last of his sweet cake into his mouth. "Human," was all the young man whispered, though distressed. Where the soldier had imagined outrage, pure joy lit up his good king's face. A grin so unnerving it had him stepping back. "Excellent," he stood, a single, fluid motion. "Where." X "Lady Vivian," Elise whispered, adjusting her shawl around her shoulders. Strands of red hair eeked into her vision, and she hurriedly pushed it behind her ear. "I don't mean to be rude, but I think we're rather lost. We've passed that oak tree twice, at the very least." She was never one to turn down a taste of adventure, however, being lost and going on an adventure are different things. Something about this area felt...off-putting. Not right. She felt too many eyes on them, and saw none of them, to be comfortable. |
As the weather had warmed, Ellium lay, sprawled out on his comfortable blanket of the finest silks. He was in close range to the King, but not so that he was taking his space. His striking red hair was pulls back in a ponytail tied with silver laces and he wore a simple black tunic that was open at the neck, revealing the red jeweled necklace he always wore and a small bit of the scar on his chest. |
"Just outside of the southern gate. They've been there since early morning."
The king was pushing past him, long braid dripping back over his shoulder to swish against his back. He moved with unnatural grace, and perhaps too much focus. Humans, oh how he loved when new little toys wandered into his playpen. Going into town was acceptable, but the humans were so fond of iron it made it hard for him to breathe. His fun was often cut short for sheer lack of air, or for a burn he hadn't planned on. They were getting wiser, some of them, and lining their windows in iron bars. He'd never be able to cross them. If they came into his territory, though...well. Then that's their fault. "Are you coming, Ellium," the king turned to grin at his friend. There was a malicious glee sparkling in his eyes. "When was it last you enjoyed the company of humans?" X Elise was somewhat comforted that her friend was equally perturbed, though it was disturbing to see her worried. Of all of the people Elise knew, her Lady Vivian was the most strong-willed. She was both honored and excited to be her friend. Unfortunately, this seemed like the wrong place for them to have run giggling from her lady's guards. Elise touched at the braids wrapped around her head, nervous and worried. She had her dagger, one tucked into her boot, that her father had taught her to use. Self defense, you know. But she felt...inadequate, with it. The breeze made her shiver and cling to her shawl. "Perhaps we should rest. It's high noon, at least, and you haven't eaten since your morning meal." She tugged at the strap over her shoulder where she'd tucked away some rations for their exploration today. "Are you hungry? I brought some bread, cheese, and a water skein. Perhaps if we rest for a bit we can get our barings." |
Stretching his long legs, Ellium casually took a few steps to be a bit closer to his King, "You know I won't miss out on this opportunity." A smile almost equally chilling spread across Ellium's face as he spoke. "It would be a real shame to miss out on this." He brushed strands of his fiery hair that had managed to slip out of the tie from his face and smoothed his loose, black tunic and his tight leather pants, brushing any crumbs that may have fallen from the sweet snacks away. |
He got a happy noise and a pat on his arm for that, elation leaking off his king in waves. He turned and made his way from the gardens to the south, one thing on his mind. Already was he planning his amusement. Orchidron (Orchid) chose to go with his glamour, letting his relaxed satins and silks to rough linen, a brief shift of his shoulders manifested a dark brown vest. He left his pants, already leather, but his bare feet were suddenly no longer so, covered in thick, worn-out leather boots. His hands brushed over his braid, easing the gold string out of it and tucking it into his pocket.
By they were coming upon the scouts on the south end of his lands, he looked no more a king than a stable boy, save for the clean state of his hair. "Where are they?" "Aiming for the bend in the river," one of the young men stood a little straighter. He adjusted his vest, stepping past them. "Let's see what guests we'll have for dinner." X Elise nodded, following Vivian towards the water. She relaxed as they walked, feeling a little more confident. Once they reached the water, they' be able to relax. A plan would be made, and they would go home. Another day, another adventure. They'd just know, now, not to go out this way into the trees. As they approached the water, she pulled the satchel from her shoulder to dig inside and find the heavy wool blanket she'd brought, just in case they'd decided on a picnic. "Do you think they'll come and find us, the guards?" |
As he watched his King's transformation from his fabulous and unique appearance to the poor stable boy, Ellium cocked his brow in amusement, "My King, that look sure is.. amusing." He smirked and waved his own hand slowly down his body, changins his own outfit into a mere commoner's look. Instead of being dressed in fine fabrics, Ellium was now clothed is a rough spun, brown tunic that was tied at the waist with a straw rope. His leather pants now had scuffs and a few patches on the pockets, and he also wore a pair of worn, old looking leather boots. Reaching behind his head, Ellium proceeded to pull the fine silver tie out, allowing his long fiery hair to fall loose upon his shoulders. "There." |
With some flare, Orchid brushed his hands over his ears, smoothing the hair down to tuck behind them as they made their way through the trees. Pixies, here and there, whispered to him in passing. They darted about his head like bees, then would zip away. He looked thoughtful for some time, before taking a sharp left to weave through a couple of oaks. "Is it bad," he inquired, finally, glancing briefly over his shoulder at his friend. The red hair about Ellium's head briefly had Orchidron thinking of a lion, paired with strong shoulders, it only added to the appeal. Alas, thoughts for another time. If ever.
Quite contrary to the belief of most of his court, Orchidron adored Ellium not for pleasure of the flesh (though, he wouldn't be opposed to it), but rather for his...well, everything else. The mind, the humor, and he had a fantastic creative streak that made humans ever so much more fun to play with. But then, there was also how he treated him. He was endlessly grateful that Ellium didn't cower. Not that he'd ever admit it, no. But, while he took great amusement in frightening his people with an emotionless face, or one so filled with manic amusement they felt the need to back off, Ellium just called him out for his billshit with a polite 'sire' tacked on to the end, and it was...wonderful. He had a true friend. His only one, really. And for that Ellium was precious. Let the court believe what they will, Orchidron would rather lose a limb than lose his friend. "It is a bit itchy. Here," He stopped, leaning just-slightly. A moment of focus and he could see them, a significant distance away, between the trees. Ah, even more fun. Female humans, always so helpless to fall for a pretty face and dirty clothes. The offer of sweets usually cinched the plan in place, and he'd have playthings for weeks. Especially the girls around here. So dainty. "Do you see them? They've been wandering for hours, perhaps an offer to have supper at a farm, rest their wary bones." He couldn't help his grin. X Elise laid the blanket out, humming to herself, then promptly plopped right down onto it and began setting out their food, all safely wrapped in cloth. As glanced up, briefly, to watch Vivian dampen her dress and wash her face. "I agree. And it isn't as though it can't be mended once you return home." She dug out the water skein, smiling. Then laughing. "You mother would squeal. And so would your sisters," She wiggled the skein as emphasis, then began cutting the bread with a dull bread knife she'd brought in her satchel. "The water is cool? We could refill the skein before we leave, then, have water for our journey back--oh, I think they'd rather eat their shoes than return to tell your father we've snuck away again." She grinned, all amusement. "Sometimes, Vivian, you are truly wicked. You'll be the death of your parents, their hair white with fright!" |
Ellium cocked his brow at Orchid, "Bad, my King?" His voice sounded puzzled, but quickly changed into a sound of amusement, "Not at all. You look great in anything. You could make an old sack look fashionable." Ellium chuckled and patted his King on the shoulder. |
"Pretty indeed," He hummed, watching them thoughtfully. Then again began advancing, footfalls making noise, unlike the silence they had been up until this point. Acting as human as an Elf was able, which usually meant exaggerated physical motion, loud voices, and lots of cursing. But they hadn't gotten to that point yet.
X "I've packed what I could carry," Elise laughed, offering to Vivian the water first, then went about cutting the bread, cheese, and breaking off some of the meat onto a plater she'd brought. Vivian was a wonderful young lady. Elise was sometimes in awe of her, her strong will and independence. She envied it sometimes, somewhat of a stickler. But Vivian, if she wanted to do something, Elise would help her without question. She met her young, as her mother worked in the palace, and since then she'd been following Vivian like a shadow. It was her that inspired Elise's own extroverted personality, the enjoyment of finding new people, places, and hobbies. She was so, ever so grateful. She was offering the plate when she heard crunching, and clutched at the plate. "Someone's coming." She watched the first young man emerge, hair tied back in a long, black braid. A stable hand, she guessed, judging from the state of his clothing. He looked surprised to see them, she watched him stand a little straighter, pale eyes a little wide. He must have been coming for a wash in the river. "Hello," he called across the river. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." |
Ellium followed his King's lead, sloppy movements followed with loud foot steps. It was so unnatural feeling to be loud and without grace. Humans were so.. so mundane, yet intriguing. Ellium couldn't help but hold curiosity towards them from time to time, but he also couldn't resist that natural Fae urge to trick them. With long fingers, the fiery haired male rustled his hair, causing random places to frizz and look rather tangled. (Sorry it took so long!) |
Elise watched the two men emerge, and was somewhat struck dumb. If not for just a moment, she was quieted by their beauty. However grimy they appeared, and it was quire grimy indeed, their faces were...lovely. There were not many men who were so lovely, though there were a great many who dressed like them.
"Yes," She glanced over at Vivian, nodding a fraction. Neither of them looked armed, but that meant little. She and Vivian were but ladies, and both of these young men looked very strong. One larger than the other, but one slighter than the other as well. "I think so. No," She turned her attention back to the two men. "You aren't disturbing us." "That is a relief," Orchid settled on the shore by the river, tugging off the worn out leather boots to set them to the side. "It is rare to see anyone out this close to the pen, let alone two ladies. Where are your escorts?" "Just around the bend," Elise chimed quickly. She did not wish to be viewed as alone and volnerable, especially with her Lady present. Orchidron, of course, knew this immediately for the lie it was. He settled slender feet into the cool water, sighing through his nose contently. Ruse this may be, but the cool water was far from unwelcome. He might as well enjoy this part, even if the next part would be the most fun. "That's good. I would hate to see young ladies such as yourselves alone in these woods. Who knows what lurks here. I'm Weatherford," he offered, an edited version of his sur-name he used to entice humans. Elise glanced at Vivian, hoping to follow her lead. (It's okay! It happens. c:) |
