hey easty! i love that coat you pinned me! its adorable! i might use that as the cape for the coat im working on. i just also need to add a hood. lol

I totally already have pinned that hoop skirt pattern. i think i downloaded it too. lol

the corsets though are a lot more complicated then those patterns are letting on. see, in north america... getting steel boning is really hard to do... so you have to work with plastic boning.... which means you need more bones. a lot more bones if it is going to actually do anything other than poke you. i have one such pattern... but the boning is so complicated i have yet to even attempt it.

its too expensive. at that point i might as well just order a corset. also, it gets stopped at the border and then you get extra charges... metal... arg... anyways.. its not really worth it for me.

but you can feel free to make one! and then take pictures!!!

yeah... i have tried to make my own corsets... they turn out alright... but do not hold up the the test of time. you basically get one or two wears out of it and then it breaks... plastic bones.... everywhere.... waste of effort really.

also, i dont get enough opportunities to wear my corsets anymore and i get judges when i wear it to work.... but i wear it there anyways some days. lol.

I've seen some good cardboard corsets.
Also sent a couple more no idea if they're of use. I don't wear my corsets out, i'm quite Boho grungy. XD

i like to think im a victorian enthusiast. but thats about as close to a catagory as i get. i range from lolita to victorian to gothic.

I'm eclectic I most own second hand, charity shop or sale rack clothes, so I just make them my own. I have a dress with a hot air balloon print you'd probably like :)
