"Thanks." Kerry got rid of that bot as well and glanced around when she realized something. "They're blocking us off from each other."

"And doing a good job of it, too," Tony agreed as he helped Natasha get rid of a few before taking to the skies again.

"We need to stop it," Avery said, trying to break through the crowd of robots. She only ended up being herded off to one side, though, away from the others.

"Cap found Doom," Clint reported suddenly. "Two blocks over, near the galleries."

"Good, awesome, he can deal with Doom," Tony said, heading back over to Avery to help try and clear a path for her.

What he wasn't counting on was the building above them being toppled over to pen them in.

Kerry swore as she got shoved against a building and almost through it, fending off the bots long enough to get herself up above them, at least temporarily.

"Head's up," Clint said as he hopped down to help Kerry. His vantage point was pretty much ruined, anyways.

Avery barely had time to react when the wall came down.

"Algiz!" she yelped. A shimmering dome appeared over her just before the stone and concrete would have hit, protecting her.

"Took you long enough," Kerry snarked, glancing around. The Doombots had them effectively penned in.

Tony's suit took most of the blow, but he was still rattled around inside. He groaned as he tried to sit up, blinking spots out of his vision.

"Better late than never," Clint said cheerfully. Reaching back, he pulled one of his new shrapnel arrows out. "Let's see what these do."

"You alright?" Avery asked as her shield dissolved. She picked her way over to him, being careful of loose debris.

"Something impressive, I hope," Kerry said, glancing at him.

Tony groaned and blinked a few more times. "Jarvis?"

"I would advise holding still, sir. Scans show that you have numerous cuts and a fractured collarbone." Jarvis sounded both worried and scolding somehow.

"New toys always are," Clint said, taking aim at the bots closing in on them. He fired the arrow.

"You okay in there, Tony?" Avery asked, tapping on the faceplate of the suit. "Come on, open up so I can actually see you."

Kerry whistled quietly at the results of that. "Okay, yeah, I like that. I want new toys now."

The face plate lifted to reveal Tony looking rather pale but otherwise okay, at least from that bit of him.

"Yeah, no, good, just staying here."

"Talk to Stark, he makes all the best toys," Clint said as he reached for another arrow, grinning.

"Are you alright?" Avery asked, kneeling down next to him. "Pop open the suit, let me make sure you're still in one piece."

"I will once we're all back," Kerry said. "Damn, if I could actually pull that thing back I would try to steal it from you right now, because that looks fun."

"Uh. Can't. Much." Tony twiddled his fingers. "Kind of stuck." Which made sense, since part of the suit was still under rubble.

"They might let you get one," Clint said. "Hell, ask Tony, he might build you one. I know he's got specs for them, he's built me like three."

Avery stood up and stepped back, studying the rubble to see how it had fallen. Once she was sure she could move some of it without crushing Tony more, she magicked some of it out of the way.

"Any better?" she asked.

"He doesn't like me that much," Kerry pointed out, shooting a few more bots.

"Yeah, sort of." Tony retracted the suit but still made no move to get up. He was kind of in a lot of pain.

"He likes you more than you think," Clint said, also shooting a few more bots. "He likes you more than he likes your partner, at any rate."

Avery went back over to check him.

"Hold still," she said, gently putting her hand on his chest, just to the left of the reactor. "Uruz."

"That's because he hates magic, and I'm just a genetic quirk, not a magical one," Kerry pointed out. "Duck." She grabbed him and pulled him down before a falling bot could hit either of them.

"Hey, no, bad, no magic, this is still a no magic zone," Tony said, flailing his hands, because that was about all that was painless to move.

"Did I mention how awesome that quirk is?" Clint asked once the falling bot missed them.

"We're not in the tower, and it feels like you have a few fractures in there," Avery responded. "So help me, Tony, if you don't stop squirming I'll put you out. I can't be careful enough to avoid the reactor if you're moving around."

"Not enough." Kerry grinned. "It definitely comes in handy."

Tony huffed and fell still. "Still, magic. Weird. Bad. Definitely going to shower later." Because while she was fine as a person, he still had a personal vendetta against magic.

"No kidding," Clint agreed.

"You can do that all you like once your ribs and collarbone are whole again," Avery said, carefully threading magic around the Arc so as not to disrupt it.

"Cap is taking too long," Kerry muttered. "Give me a boost up?" At least that way she could get a look around.

Tony held still as he felt the magic moving around inside him. It felt so weird, but not necessarily bad. Which he'd deny because it was magic, after all.

"Yeah, sure," Clint said. He climbed up on the ruins of the building behind them and pulled her up with him.

"You're lucky," Avery murmured as she worked. "This would have been a lot worse without that tin can of yours."

Kerry took his hand and managed to make her way up to where she could see. "Looks like Cap and Widow just about have him," she said. "Should be done any minute now."

Which was good because more bots were coming after them and trying to climb the building.

"'S why I have a suit," Tony said, lifting his head to watch her.

"Good," Clint said, leaning over the edge to watch the robots. "Means these things should drop soon."

"Still, you're lucky," Avery said. "You almost got your sternum fractured. You're bruised, at the very least; it'll probably ache around the reactor housing for a few days."

"Hopefully." Kerry pulled back when one of them got smart enough to fire at her, moving out of the way and making sure he was out of the way as well.

Tony snorted. Because that was normal, really. The reactor housing always ached, a low-grade throbbing usually.

Clint pulled out one of his mini-missile arrows and shot it down towards the robots before Kerry pulled him back. He smirked when he heard six or seven satisfying little pops.

Avery was still working on Tony when she heard the rubble shifting. Glancing around, she swore when she saw more robots.

"I hate these damn things," she said. She took her attention away from Tony for a moment, pausing the healing. "Algiz." The shimmering dome appeared again, this time around Tony as well, temporarily protecting them from the robots. Then she focused on the healing again.

"Now now, Clint, I know you like to shoot things, but you work better when you're not perforated," Kerry said, keeping a hand on his shoulder. But not in a restraining way, just a little reminder.

For once, Tony didn't protest the magic. He just watched the bubble go up again, categorizing what she could do and staying as still as he could.
