The fifth time Tony gave himself a minor injury while working, Avery just sighed. It was happening often enough that it would be better to give him a way to take care of it himself.

"Here, give me a sharpie and a bit of paper," she said.

"What?" Tony blinked at her. "What are we doing now?" But he rummaged around for a pen and paper. He ended up finding a half sheet of construction paper and a red sharpie.

"You're giving me writing implements," Avery said, uncapping the marker. "I'm drawing you a sigil for minor healing, so you don't gather any more scars on your hands and arms." Quickly, she drew a perfect circle and started writing runes and symbols around the edges.

"Not going to work, I don't do magic," Tony said. "Besides, I've already got a collection, no one's going to notice a few more nicks and bruises."

"Technically, it's not you doing the magic," Avery said as she finished the sigil and activated it. The sigil lit up, a slight glow swirling upwards. "It's self-contained. You just put whatever part of you got hurt over it, and it does the rest." She glanced at him. "Don't think I don't notice when your band-aid collection on your hands changes."

Tony scoffed a bit. "It's not that bad," he said, rolling his eyes. "Honestly, this isn't bad at all, I've always got cuts and bruises, one of the dangers of working in the lab."

"Well, this will make them heal faster," Avery said stubbornly. "It's passive and self-contained. You won't even have to touch it."

Tony grumbled but didn't make her take it away, and he didn't trash it. He just went back to grumbling at designs.

Avery noticed that he didn't get rid of it. He grumbled, but she expected that. Leaving the sigil there, though, that surprised her, and she sat back to see what he would do with it if he ended up needing it.

It took a day or two for Tony to actually try using it. One couldn't expect too many miracles in a day, after all.

But when he finally got a cut that bled steadily for a few minutes, he eyed the sigil, clearly debating, before he stuck his hand over it.

The cut immediately stopped bleeding and was healed within a minute or two, not even leaving a mark.

Unfortunately, Avery had been called away on an impromptu mission with Coulson and his team, so she wasn't around to witness Tony's first voluntary magic interaction.

Tony looked at the nearest camera, since he knew Jarvis had recorded that to submit to the Guinness Book of World Records.

"Not a word," he said.

"I would never dream of it, sir." Jarvis sounded amused.
