lol. sounds nasty illness, Amanene.
My habit of not sharing came from the improper information about how AIDS spread in the 90s, when it was said saliva could spread that desease.

And also, places where the animals lick. They clean their body with licking, isn't it? at least I know cat do.

Magghiaghia, those neighbour dogs are small, yes, and when they bark, they jumped and bark non stop, and that don't sound like a happy welcoming bark. Keep on barking and barking, ignoring their owner's instruction, still barking until they can't see me. -___-;; That said, they are cute.

Another neighbout, wow, their dogs are specifically for guarding purpose. The way the dog dash and crash to the gate when ANYONE appears, and bark with their head squeezing outward, and front paw poking outward from the slit of the gate... I don't think that is friendly at all.

Dogs have fewer germs in their mouths than humans. So I try not to let my girls lick near my mouth because it can cause them dental issues. But the mouth is fairly self cleaning and I do brush their teeth.
Barking is honestly one of the hardest things to train out of dogs because it's their form of communication. And barks are hard to read because dogs don't have as many tones as cats do.

D'awww. *hugs hummy*

hummy 05-31-2014 11:25 PM

how are you feeling today

steelmagghia 05-31-2014 11:29 PM

Quite a bit better. I still had to take a nap for a bit, but I'm not feeling so completely wiped out. I even managed to finish the art for the auction. Tomorrow I'm going to try to bathe Miss Fizz.

hummy 06-01-2014 01:05 AM

Ah, have fun

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:12 AM

She's the hardest to bathe because she hates being brushed. And you HAVE to brush out the fur completely before you can bathe them. And then you have to brush them again as they dry. And OF COURSE Fizz is the one that gets dirtier and more matted. Maddie is easy peasy and she's almost always clean. [lol]

hummy 06-01-2014 01:26 AM

lol, isn't that funny? i just finished brushing wyguy. he is poofing so much because it has gotten warm. went from winter to summer, just skipping spring. but at least the trees have leaves now.

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:32 AM

It's special, that's for sure. She spends the whole grooming period attacking the living daylights out of the brush.
Oh gosh, yes. Chinc is just shedding like crazy. He actually has a little bald spot from over shedding. Thank goodness that dogs don't have a seasonal shedding period.

hummy 06-01-2014 01:36 AM

i took sashie outside today and rubbed her down. she hates being brush and will run and 'hide' as much as a seventy-seven pound puppie can hide! so she likes being rubbed and i was overwhelmed with hair today. i hope the birdies use it for nesting since it will insulate really well.

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:45 AM

Hahaha, indeed. Have you thought about one of those brush mitts? So she thinks she's being petted while you're brushing her?

hummy 06-01-2014 01:47 AM

i haven't tried that yet. i think i have one i used for wy i could give a whirl, thanks.

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:49 AM

You're welcome! I hope it works!

hummy 06-01-2014 01:51 AM

it's be better than the whirlwind of dog hair i'm sure

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:56 AM

Haha. One can only hope! I got a vacuum attachment for my furminator. I will be working this summer on familiarizing the girls with the sound of the small vacuum and treat associating it.

hummy 06-01-2014 02:12 AM

oh i haven't seen that. i love my little furminator. i think it could be bigger, but yuki isn't keen on being brushed so i went small. she is coming around slowly but surely.

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:14 AM

Yeah, just keep associating it with treats. That helps a lot.

hummy 06-01-2014 02:16 AM

she doesn't like these snacks very much. she is very pickie

Dystopia 06-01-2014 02:17 AM

My dog has really curly fur, so she isn't too big on being brushed either. xD

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:24 AM

Hahaha, a picky dog. Maddie has gotten picky. Fizz is...not picky at all. She likes ice, lettuce, radishes, chicken, really anything. But she won't take a treat if she's stressed.

Lol, Dys. Luckily curly haired dogs don't shed as much! Is your dog a poodle?

hummy 06-01-2014 02:24 AM

what kind of dog, dy

Broccoli Mallet 06-01-2014 02:54 AM
