Hehe, okay. So recently my brother's dad passed away. I think it was last month. My grandfather thinks my mum or I should and sympathise with his mother (my brother's grandmother). Here lies the problem. The were a bunch of asses. My bro's dad was a horrible person and I'm not exaggerating. He terrible things to my brother. My bro's grandmother used to take advantage of my mum. My mum severed ties with them a while back and I don't think she has to sympathise with those shits after all they put her and my brother through. I certainly am not sympathising with them, but my grandfather thinks my mum should out of courtesy. Am I wrong?

If that's how you feel you do not have to. Do not be guilted into doing something you're uncomfortable in or don't believe you should be doing. Your grandfather can do it if thats how they feel about it. If my sister's father died, I would not sympathise either. He is also a terrible person. I'd offer assistance to my sister but that is all. It's the same with some other of my family as well. ..That's my opinion anyway. I wish you all the best. *hugs* |

Hmm. Right. I'm set. I'm definitely not doing anything of the sort. My grandfather and I just had a bit of an argument about it. He doesn't want to sympathise, but he wants me to tell my mum to. I'll tell her, but knowing her... not going to happen [XP]
