Thing is - I don't have the money to move out and where I live is crazy expensive... Plus I'm only down here till May, and moving mid year -yeah, it's possible, but I don't even know if I can get out of my contract where I'm currently living. [sweat] I have so many people saying I should try to find an apartment by myself for my last semester down here, but at the same time, that'd be about 300+$ more a month than I'm already paying, and I'm not sure I can find a place closer than where I currently am living. [sweat] And sadly moving out isn't an option as I live in the dorms. [yes] If I could kick them out... omg, I so would!

I might be able to - I do know them pretty well, as I met them last year and worked with them, mostly because of the special situation that my roommate last year had (not a bad situation just one that required them to be on it with figuring things out - she's deaf/blind, needs the same room, and has a service dog). [yes]

But that's not the point, the point is I do know him, but they'd probably just move me to another room... which yeah, I could do, but moving right now, would just be even more stress than I'm already under - which is more than I show, unless I crack, and it all comes out (which has been happening more and more lately). But I feel like if I did go to talk to him, it would cause a bigger scene than it already is now. :/

I got a bit stressy tonight when my brother and his friends were drinking and being loud but aside from that i'm alright.

And Magi - I'm british, thats my excuse. There really is nothing to do here. You're either a nerd who hides and plays games reads and writes, or you go out drinking and er...make friends xD

I used to do the...er...making friends, now i'm steering more towards the nerd life. My one friend is currently having a go at me because i didnt want to go out tonight xD

Yeah. [headdesk] At least I don't have a roommate (for now) but we will be getting a fourth person probably in January. I just will have to find a way to survive till May when I'm done down here and moving back home. And away from the stupidity of Southern California. :/ Only reason I'm down here is for the program that this school offers - there aren't a lot of programs in the country with this specific program. [yes] And also for the size of the community of people that this program and campus brings in. :] (haha, yes, I know I'm being vague. :P)

Stress is a killer sweetie, but sometimes you've got to decide what would be worse. A constant and gradual wearing down of your nerves (which by the sounds of it is happening right now), or a short term big stress to get out of that situation.

Personally i'd take the stress of moving if it meant i'd be away from the negativity and can finally relax and concentrate on the hard work, which is the reason you are there in the first place!

Your home is supposed to be a haven, and right now it seems like it's worse than your class, you're constantly tired and stressed and it's ruining your concentration. You can't go till May like that...i wouldn't and i consider myself pretty damn good with my emotions, or lack of xD

Trying to add in the whole thing of stress on top of everything else will literally cause me to crumble. I know this already. I've been thinking about that... But at the same time... something that in a way is keeping me where I am - is I did move down here for the community and the culture, and that is exactly where I am currently - where I have to use the language I'm down here to learn on a daily basis with the residents of this building. So if I move away, I lose the community that I came down here for. Sure I'll still be on campus, but I'll lose the community of living here, as it's helped me progress greatly.

That's a huge major factor that's keeping me where I'm at currently, even though I loathe my roommates.

True... I just know that if it goes on any longer, I probably will speak up directly to them and tell them that they need to stop treating me like I'm 10, and that they need to start treating me with respect, and sure I don't do as much around the apartment as I should but at the same time.. We are all unique and different.... And that is different for everyone, so everyone handles school and stress differently. Which is something that they both clearly don't understand.

And them treating me like this - they said DIRECT TO ME, that they wanted a stress free household... yet the way that they're acting is causing the stress and the tension to happen.. I just have to figure out how to word things in a way that will not cause them to turn things around on me and blame me for how things have gone. [yes]

but also my previous post is a huge factor that's playing into my decisions right now. [yes] This building and living with deaf/hard of hearing for the past year and a half, has caused me to go from proficient in signing to fluent. [yes]
