How has your day been?

Eh, been okay.
I'm kind of dreading going to a party tonight with some friends of mine.
Doesn't start for another hour and a half and I'm still undecided on if I'm going to go or not.

I wish you the best of luck in deciding if you do want to go or not.
Could you go and just stay for a little bit and then leave?

Probably, and thanks to an online magic 8 ball I got told 3 times that I should go so...I'm going to go.

I just have a feeling that I'm going to end up getting into a fight.

Great way to figure it out! :P Hopefully things work out. And oh dear! That wouldn't be good.

Not much going on here. I should be working on an essay, but I'm lacking motivation.
Guess that's what I'm doing tomorrow on my birthday - writing this darned essay.

Lol I'm okay. Seriously have been sitting here for too long. My knees hurt. And my fingers hurt from typing and not having a mouse on my laptop.

It's my fault - I've been putting it off and it's due on Monday. I guess I could do some of it today and then just get up early on Monday and finish it then. Hmmm... I'm liking this idea. Three or so pages now, and the other three pages on Monday. [yes]

Sounds like you need a break from the computer. I've been on the computer too much today, but mostly just watching shows on netflix. xD And procrastinating when I don't have any time really to procrastinate. Such a bad student I am.

Can feel it with the kind of mood I'm in.

It's not that I have issues focusing - I just am lacking the motivation to actually do the work. I'm just tired of college in general. Once I get started it doesn't take me long at all to actually get it done, I just am so tired of college, that I don't even want to do the work anymore. Even though I can write a paper in a day and get an A on it. [yes]

I've always had a hard time completing anything that takes a long time, writing papers, taking tests. I just, suck at all of it.

I'm almost always angry , but usually I can keep it just below the surface so it doesn't get in the way of me being "normal".
...yay for being bi-polar.
Typically the longer I'm down or stressed the more pissed off I get and considering the last time I hung out with these guys (( last night )) I got my ass jumped randomly for being a dick when I didnt say or do anything other then tell one of them Hi...

But meh, I could use the stress reliever plus magic 8 ball told me to go 3 times so...I'll be taking off in about an hour

I do enjoy the class... I just don't like how strict she is with formatting for papers.

Although this story here, yes it's in American Sign Language, but I still love it - and even people who don't know sign should be able to get it - it's about a Deaf Ninja - makes me laugh every time. I love it. That's one of the narratives that I'm writing my paper on. :]

Are you really bipolar? Like diagnosed and on medication for it? If you don't mind me asking those extremely personal questions. [sweat]

I'm not sure, are you a laser?

Dreamer, I'm learning with my daughter. We aren't taking a class but we have a book, a fun kids series on t.v. and YouTube a lot of phrases and songs. We aren't actively learning everyday, but we've both learned a ton over the last few years. It's great to teach babies sign language because it helps them communicate before they can talk and prevent meltdowns and stuff. I've always loved it. We also happen to have three deaf families on our street.

I miss my Hummy [cry]

Speaking of Hummy, she's disappeared. Anyone know where?

Yeah, but when you look into stats - it's only really recommended for hearing parents to teach their hearing kids when so many deaf children who're born to hearing parents do not get access to sign as the majority of parents who have deaf kids do not sign with them and expect them to be able to read lips and speak and not sign, because they don't understand the language... it's really sad. :(
So the whole giving access to this language to hearing children is wonderful and all that, but it really upsets me that deaf children don't have the same access to that language that they really do need that hearing children have plenty of access to. (Sorry, this is a topic that I'm rather passionate about.) But I do think that it's great that you're learning together! ^_^ Now to get more families to do the same! ^_^

I live in a Deaf dorm on campus, so we're required to use sign whenever we talk to anyone in the building. :]

I know that hummy has been dealing with a lot of medical issues, and I think that she's off dealing with all of that. [yes] And something about her computer not working with her and having updated and it's even harder for her to see the screen, and it's all blurry on top of that. [yes] Hopefully she'll be back soon! [yes]
