Oh, they were! I told them after like the 20th time in a week of calling me at night, that they needed to let me sleep, and I got that they were worried, but he would be fine. I may or may not have snapped at them, but I was enjoying actually sleeping. I also told them that if they called me in the wee hours of the night, I would hang up on them. XDD I'm not the most pleasant person to be around when I'm sleep deprived. xDD

steelmagghia 05-31-2014 01:26 AM

Hahahaha. [rofl] You sound about like me. I do not like having my sleep interrupted.

LiviInLove 05-31-2014 01:27 AM

Oh, the first few times... sure I get that, they're new parents. They did warn me, but 20+ times... mmm, no... xDD

steelmagghia 05-31-2014 01:31 AM

Yeah, that's extra paranoid. Besides, what were you going to do that they couldn't?

Elmira Swift 05-31-2014 01:31 AM

Sleep is a good thing, but I remember rebelling wildly against it when I was a kid. Totally different from sleep deprivation caused by small people and babies though!

Otto is in the tub and under Soki's supervision for a few more minutes [squee]

LiviInLove 05-31-2014 01:34 AM

Steel: EXACTLY!! [yes]

Elmira: Becca has been rebelling and I've a feeling it's only going to get worse. :/ She's one stubborn little girl! [yes]
Awwww, sweet! Computer time for mommy?

steelmagghia 05-31-2014 01:36 AM

I've had a hard time sleeping my whole life. I couldn't make my mind shut off when I was little. I still have that problem now, but the depression makes me want to sleep all the time, and the medication for the depression makes me drowsy. [lol]

LiviInLove 05-31-2014 01:37 AM

Last weekend, Alex took over everything with both girls and I broke out the sleepaids I hardly ever use, and got some sleep that was just amazing! [yes]

ALSO how can Sophia be almost a month?!

Elmira Swift 05-31-2014 01:40 AM

I had a bit of insomnia last night due to a conversation I had with a friend. Considering her advice to put Soki into an online school my friend uses for her daughter since they are seeing remarkable progress!

Also had trouble sleeping when I was younger because I couldn't stop thinking and trying to tie bits of information together in my head. Just sorting things out. It's better now, but I turn to really boring books if I'm desperate!

[hug] Livi ~ determined kids are such a mixed blessing. They tell you exactly what they want and tune out any disagreement - but you know where they stand with their opinions when they are older. Not cute behavior when they're younger.

LiviInLove 05-31-2014 01:42 AM

I've had insomnia for most of my life, as did my twin - and after his passing, it just got worse. It goes through spells of being really hard, at times, but thankfully other than lack of sleep with Sophia, it's not been too bad.

Elmira: I'll have to take your word on that, as all we have is the younger end of that spectrum, and lately, it's just been the cause of much frustration here. We want her to nap, she won't. I'm frustrated and exhausted but when she's awake, I can't sleep. *sighs* I love her to pieces, but at times she frustrates me like no other.

Anyways, I must dash, I need to get a few small things done before she wakes up, which will be in the next 10 minutes most likely! See y'all later!

steelmagghia 05-31-2014 01:45 AM

So glad you got some sleep Livi.

And Elmira, I hate it when I can't stop thinking about something enough to go to sleep.

Bye Livi!

hummy 06-01-2014 01:52 AM

my brain is always busy busy busy

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 01:58 AM

Mine too. Although not the last few days. I think I hit major burnout. [lol]

hummy 06-01-2014 02:17 AM

i don't think i have ever felt that =(

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:20 AM

That's a good thing! It's exhausting and stressful. Luckily I have one more day for a brain break before summer tutoring starts.

hummy 06-01-2014 02:23 AM

you have summer tutoring, too

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:30 AM

Yep. Two paying students for SAT prep and one trade off student for another set of test preps. And I desperately need them or I'd have no income for three months.

hummy 06-01-2014 02:34 AM

i hope they are good kids and are always on time

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:38 AM

Thanks man. One of them I had in the school year and he's good. The other is probably good. The third is a personal friend.

hummy 06-01-2014 02:43 AM

that's good you have return clients, yeah

steelmagghia 06-01-2014 02:48 AM

Well, yes and no. I should be giving my students the ability to learn on their own so they no longer need me. But for SAT prep, it's a little different.

LiviInLove 06-05-2014 02:49 AM

Sophia is 1 month old!! [yes] [shock] How can she be a month already?!

steelmagghia 06-05-2014 02:53 AM

Oh wow, I can't believe she's that old already! I'll bet she's getting even prettier and smarter every day!

LiviInLove 06-05-2014 02:54 AM

Alex told me I could share our month old picture with people, but the internet is not cooperating so I can't get it to properly upload right now, but as soon as I get the internet to like me - I may just be doing something stupid and may be be too sleep deprived to figure it out - I'll definitely share it! :D

steelmagghia 06-05-2014 02:57 AM

HOORAY! \o/
I'm so excited! I can't wait to see them. :D
