Oh my gosh! That frustrates me so much! You know what? I would LOVE to have people just give me money to fix things right now. But the world doesn't generally work that way. *shakes fist angrily*

Hahaha, stinky toddlers are the woooorst. Good luck with that!

Elmira Swift 08-04-2014 11:45 PM

Exactly. I don't care to court more drama in my life. Things are not always perfect, but I am content.

I need to retract my comments about Otto. He had an upset tummy, probably because he refused to vary his diet the past few days. He will be okay, but I am feeling a tad guilty about my comments!

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 12:02 AM

Awww, poor baby! That doesn't make him any less stinky, but definitely worthy of some sympathy.

Izumi 08-05-2014 12:09 AM

I was going to say I have the world's most gassiest cat. He's gotten a bit better now that things have settled down in the household, but when he farts or poops I tell you it will knock out an entire room. He eats exactly what the other cat does, except I think he over feeds himself and is getting a bit on the chubby side. I told hubby to cut the food down but he says if he does that the cat will sit and howl until he's being fed. He was an outdoor cat for what it's worth and he's still not out of this 'eat all you can while you have it' mentality. I can understand as he probably went days without food at one point.

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 12:11 AM

He seems to be okay now. Put him to bed 30 minutes ago, and I've had to confiscate a Darth Vader figure from him. He was playing [XP]

Izumi 08-05-2014 12:12 AM

Oh otto is a baby? I thought maybe it was a pet. Whoops! [oops]

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 12:18 AM

He's my 5yo son. Sometimes I am pretty sure we brought a chimp home though! He's a good kid.

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 12:20 AM

Hahahaha. Awkward!

Yeah, my outdoor kitty was on a strict diet, but he's started to not eat enough. I'm worried about him. He's a senior guy, and an outdoor kitty, so...

Haha, Elmira. Sometimes it's just too much fun to play rather than go to bed. [yes]

I'm pretty sure that the difference between chimps and toddlers is very minimal. Except that toddlers eventually grow up and get a little more easy. Chimps are forever toddlers. Toddlers capable of ripping your face off.

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 12:28 AM

Do you think he's tired of the diet? We have a senior outdoor kitty also. He's slimmed down a bit during the past few years, but seems okay.

I would not want a chimp for a pet.

Izumi 08-05-2014 12:28 AM

Yeah...and since they can rip your face off...I think I'll stick with cats. I'd rather be clawed thanks...

Both my kitties are alright about that. Mog you just got to know when he's had enough stimulation and back away. Chuck, he has never clawed anyone unless you count the times he sits and kneads your lap or when he's playing and swatting at string. He's actually a pretty laid back cat.

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 12:33 AM

Our kitties just showed up on our property over the years. I think our eldest is over 15yo now. One is a bit feral, but okay with us most of the time. He lets us know if he wants attention. The third one showed up right when my daughter needed a good friend/cat. I consider him her roommate.

Izumi 08-05-2014 12:34 AM

Cats are interesting creatures...they have their own agendas. I do enjoy them, for some unknown reason. I don't know if I would pick a dog or a cat if I could only pick one. Dogs have their own challenges...

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 12:54 AM

It's not diet food. I had been just measuring out his food. But lately, he's gotten permission to eat more since he's fourteen this year. But his appetite has just plummeted. I switch his foods and that helped for awhile, but I think he may need to visit the vet for blood tests and a tooth check.

And agreed. Chimps are terrible pets. I secretly want a pygmy marmoset, but I would feel like a horrible human being for owning a primate.

Chinc is a total lover. He will DEMAND to be petted. He does get occasionally playful, if you're in tall grass and it moves, but he's never scratched out of anger or irritation.

Izumi 08-05-2014 02:04 AM

Mog goes through mood swings like that where he will be ALL IN. YO. FACE. Like right now. He's sitting on the corner of my desk and he meowed as he got up and he's trying to get my attention. When I laid down in bed he jumped up into his little corner and was rubbing his head all over me. He has claimed me as his human. Chuck...I think he secretly chose Aaron and just tolerates me. I love trying to pick him up and hold him, which as most cats do they detest. Even Mog doesn't like it when I decide I want to pet and hold him. Silly cats...

I love my dog Sazh, too, but there are times where he is just too in my face and following me around. He makes the most wonderful cuddle dog. He'll jump up in bed and let you wrap your arms around him like a teddy bear. I know that's probably horrible behavior to let the dog in the bed...but right now both of them are allowed up there. I dunno though as when all 4 animals plus husband are trying to get up in a queen sized bed it does get REALLY cramped...

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 02:08 AM

Hahahaha. You're talking to the wrong person.
Maddie sleeps with me. Under the covers, glued to my hip. Fizz sleeps in a dog bed on the floor next to my mom's side of the bed in my parent's room. Cause she likes mom better and she's too fidgety in the bed.

Izumi 08-05-2014 02:21 AM

Yuna likes to sleep under the covers, tucked behind your knees. Sazh is smack dab in the top middle of the bed. Mog is usually in the top corner next to me, and Chuck will typically be at the bottom corner on Aaron's side. It's very crowded, but luckily it's only once a week it ever happens. If Aaron isn't here and Pam is, the dogs will typically sleep in her room, however Sazh will come in and check on me and sometimes prefer to sleep in my room. The cats almost always sleep in the bedroom with me...Usually Chuck doesn't stay put though and will wander after a bit.

When it's just me in the house, I get all the animals...I guess I'm just the bottom of the list for the dogs. :P

I need to try to get some sleep now. I keep on telling myself to shut the computer off and walk away but it's sooo hard during an event. [cry]

I think I can finally convince myself to go lay down. I finished getting caught up with the EI rares. There's still a few commons I'm gunning for...We've got another 3 more days though, right? Here's hoping I can finish up with the rare set and get a few more commons in. I definitely am loving a few of the common sets. They did a gorgeous job on everything. [heart]

Night Steel and friends. I'll pop in tomorrow for a bit. :) Once I finish up with work.

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 02:30 AM

Sleep well hon! And I'm glad you got some rares. :)

Izumi 08-05-2014 03:22 PM

Meh didn't sleep as well as I hoped.

Aaron was throwing up today to boot so after I finish my 9-4 got to hand wash a mountain of dishes and cook dinner on my own. Probably won't get a whole lot of free time today...

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 05:27 PM

Oh man, that sucks. I hope you don't get sick, too!

Izumi 08-05-2014 07:59 PM

So far I seem OK...*knocks on wood*

Pam's bday pressies came today so I got to find something to stash them in. Then I'll get started on the work. /groan

Ugh the ex called at 3pm. What the fuck? Seriously? She knows that Pam is in band camp until 6pm and she should know by now that Aaron is a third shifter and won't be out of bed until 5pm. She probably wants to start a fight. What a vile woman...

I texted pam and told her she needs to call her and deal with her and reiterate for the bazillionth time that no one will answer her until at LEAST 5pm and to not bother calling. Actually yeah don't call. Do us a favor...

Anyone want an ex wife? She's free to a good home...scratch that...just take her...lol

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 10:37 PM

That sounds like a horrible situation [glomp]

The open house at Otto's school went well. I really like his teachers this year. He'll spend some time in a special ed class for various therapies, then the rest of his day with a Kindergarten teacher. Met some cool parents and kids. However, I am definitely feeling my age after tromping around in the humidity. I shall overcome!

Bath/bedtime for the young ones [boogie]

steelmagghia 08-05-2014 11:42 PM

Izumi: Unfortunately, ex wives are kind of like homing pigeons. They always find their way back. [lol]
Seriously, though, I hope that she's not trying to start something else.

Elmira: I'm so glad it all went well. I do hope he has a really good experience. Have you and Soki managed to get all of the EIs?

Elmira Swift 08-05-2014 11:45 PM

Yes, we have them all and I'm focusing more on completing a spare set or two. Have you been able to get all of them? How are you feeling today?

Good grief. I am feeling all of my almost 49 years today and thanking myself for not going into teaching. I would not be able to keep up with more than a couple of kids!

steelmagghia 08-06-2014 12:44 AM

I have all of the EI sets, and now I'm working on commons. I have woefully limited commons right now.

Haha, yeah, that's why I can't teach young ones. They're all energy vacuums.

Izumi 08-06-2014 12:48 AM

Well husband listened to the voicemail she left and apparently she had a quasi-important reason for calling...however I don't know why the hell the school contacted her over us since Pam is living with us. Apparently the school need her to contact them regarding her AP sign language class as she needs to do something further or she risks not being able to take it next year. The problem was the message the ex left was very confusing and gave little to no information other than that.

Pam called her back and there wasn't any lashing. We're saved for the day. I'm glad as Aaron has still been dry heaving and feeling like crap. He seems to be feeling better and is laying in bed watching weird Youtube videos.

I got the dishes done, the dinner cooked...Even got some of the stuff posted on the forum today that I promised. I feel like all in all I've been fairly productive. :)

I can't believe it's only Tuesday though. D:

---------- Post added 08-05-2014 at 08:49 PM ----------

I'm working on commons now too, but I'm just picking up things here and there that I like...that's really the only reasoning to it. I'm still wanting a handful of stuff so I'm hoping I can plug away and get some more credit/money to grab them while they're cheap.

I'm also finding myself really wanting a blooming lovely. There's one in the marketplace for 2k too. I might start saving up for it. :O
