No! I haven't even gone back to dance since the boot came off yet. I have literally zero clue as to how it happened. Haha.

Amane 09-13-2014 04:04 AM

Sometimes I get pains in my arms for no apparent reason, or I'll contract a muscle for a long time and not realize it.

steelmagghia 09-13-2014 04:04 PM

Yeah. It's probably from standing around for 30 minutes for morning duty every morning this week.

LiviInLove 09-15-2014 12:13 AM

Hopefully the pain is getting a bit more manageable? [hug]

steelmagghia 09-15-2014 12:16 AM

Yes, thank goodness. And no morning duty for a while. [squee]
But we're doing home visits for Goal's night rather than having parents come to us. [stare]

LiviInLove 09-15-2014 02:12 AM

That's good!
But ewww, that sounds like that'll take even longer for you! I do hope that all goes well for you!! And smoothly and all that!

steelmagghia 09-15-2014 06:14 PM

Yeah I'm not excited. Like at all. I'm on lunch right now and I have to be back at the school in a half an hour. And I. Don't. Wanna.

Elmira Swift 09-16-2014 09:16 PM

Hang in there! Still very excited for you even if some of the routine is not making you happy.

steelmagghia 09-16-2014 10:06 PM

Morning duty is over for a while for me. Thank goodness. I'm still really enjoying the job, even if today was a bit infuriating (the fair comes into town on Thursday and everyone is going crazy this week).

Amane 09-17-2014 10:44 PM

I really, really, REALLY wish we knew what in the kitchen makes an awful high-pitched noise when the power goes out or comes back on so I could drive a hammer into its figurative skull.
/I typo'd "so" as "sob" and didn't even notice
/RELEVANT

*cough* The power went out just now. I waited for a bit before relaxing after it came back on, and, sure enough, it went out again. Pretty much, I was sitting in the room farthest away from the kitchen and covering my ears. I saved my hide. That awful, AWFUL noise scares me every freaking time. Covering my ears doesn't block it out completely and I still jump [gonk] , but it's better than nothing. If I lie in bed and make noise with the cover against my ears, I don't hear a thing! Found that out by BEAUTIFUL chance the night we got a piece of Hurricane Sandy~
I've dealt with that stupid noise all my life, and it's part of why I don't like storms. Whoever made a product with such a problem should've rejected it. Also, the new microwave beeps when plugged in. Double the fun! [angry] At least THAT beep isn't loud. Why are people still making that MISTAKE? I'd just be like "whatever" if it weren't for that terrible noise. As long as I'm not in the dark or busy using electricity. I think the same thing happens at my grandmommy's. My momma said my sisters' old apartment had the same problem, only louder. I'd move out immediately! WHY is this okay, and WHY does this noise only exist in MY life? THAT'S NOT FUNNY‼ Now, imagine my anger when I found out every house didn't do that.
If I'm ever in therapy, it'll be because of that noise, man.
/I like the silence caused by an outage
/BUT THE NOIIIISE COULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME AND KILL YOU

ANGRY KITTY.

steelmagghia 09-18-2014 12:48 AM

It sounds like a smoke detector. Also, it sounds totally unpleasant. Noises are awful.

Amane 09-18-2014 01:16 AM

What a smoke detector. Thing must be older than me!

steelmagghia 09-18-2014 10:59 PM

Smoke detectors generally tend to let off a big beep when they lose power. Same with CO2 detectors.

Amane 09-18-2014 11:05 PM

What I mean is, the thing must be older than me and still has the power to make that awful noise.

steelmagghia 09-18-2014 11:07 PM

Haha, ooooh. Well, usually they run off the electricity from the house and they have a backup battery for power outages. You should check the batteries once a year for safety, but usually they stay good for a long time.

Amane 09-19-2014 10:33 PM

Magghia, check out my signature.

steelmagghia 09-19-2014 10:44 PM

Haha, Andraus understands us.

LiviInLove 09-20-2014 12:13 AM

How's teaching for you so far, Steel? :D

steelmagghia 09-20-2014 01:26 AM

Pretty good. Right now is trying because the fair is in town and everyone is a little crazy. But it's pretty good. Tiring though. And we just got our results from the mandatory blood test. Apparently I'm very Vitamin D deficient. Which of course makes me more tired. Heh.

LiviInLove 09-20-2014 01:33 AM

That's good that over all it seems to be treating you pretty good - good luck getting through the fair time!
Time to start taking Vitamin D supplements? Or spending more time out in the sun?

steelmagghia 09-20-2014 01:40 AM

They recommend a HUGE supplement. Like 50,000 IU a day for eight weeks. And then a maintenance level of 5,000 a day after that (which is the usual recommended dose). Plus 30 minutes of mid day sun twice a week.

LiviInLove 09-20-2014 01:48 AM

O.o Woah! [shock]

steelmagghia 09-20-2014 01:50 AM

Yeah. Clearly I have been pretty deficient for a long time.

LiviInLove 09-20-2014 01:52 AM

Apparently! Hope the supplements and getting 30 minutes a day of sun helps!

steelmagghia 09-20-2014 02:09 AM

Me too. I'm surprised my depression wasn't really bad with a deficiency that bad. But I'm glad for it. Anyway, speaking of tired, it's time for me to get to bed. Goodnight hon!
