I actually have family friends in the Maracaibo region. They have a cow farm! :D I got to visit the country, and it was beautiful, I didn't get a chance to see the rainforest side of the the country. But the mountains were gorgeous and the dunes were fun too! |

I'm actually in the process of moving to Texas. So I'm in USA.
ICan't remember exactly where they are located, but it's a fairly large dairy farm. I think they said about 1000 head, when we visited in 2005. Now we just hear the stories about how things are going, not a lot of good things sadly. However they are no longer trying to seek asylum with their family in the US, like they were when Chavez was taking about nationalizing farms. They were afraid they would have lost their livelihood or possibly been disposed of if they tried to fight back. I've learned not to trust our news sources. I hope things aren't too bad for you and your family right now.[hug] |
