Fourth Wall? What Fourth Wall? There is no Fourth Wall
The first time Jaclyn saw the pictures of the amazing Deadpool cosplayer at the nearest 'con, she just snickered. At pictures of the next 'con, though, when she saw the same exact cosplayer, she blinked.
"What, does he just go running around after 'cons or something?" she asked, turning her tablet to show Eve. |
Eve paused and looked at the pictures.
"That's that same guy?" she asked. "That's... kind of extreme, actually." |
"It is, this 'con is two states away from the last one," Jaclyn said, shaking her head. "But it looks like the same guy. Same costume and all."
"I know there are some people who go to all of the major cons, but they're usually vendors or artists," Eve mused. "A cosplayer is weird."
"Yeah, a bit, especially one this level," Jaclyn said with a bit of a shrug. "This is kind of odd. Although I love his sense of humor."
"Look at him, he's flawless," Eve said, grinning. "Best Deadpool cosplayer I've ever seen."
"By far," Jaclyn agreed. "Hey, I wonder if we'll see him at the 'con here in a couple weeks? Because that would be awesome."
"I hope so," Eve said, grinning. "That would be so awesome. If he does, I want to get a picture."
"Definitely," Jaclyn agreed with a grin. "Alright, back to work cutting out patterns for me, I have to get back to sewing."
"Yes, ma'am," Eve said, grinning back and going back to what she was doing.
A few weeks later, Jaclyn and Eve were ready to go to the 'con. It was as busy as usual, but even still, it didn't take Jaclyn long to spot the Deadpool cosplayer standing outside.
"Huh, he really did show up," Eve commented when she saw him. "Look at that. He's flawless."
"He is. Damn, that's the best Deadpool cosplayer I've ever seen." She grinned, watching him take selfies and silly pictures with some girls. "He even acts like DP too."
"It's really kind of impressive," Eve agreed. "And look at him, he's actually kind of built, he's not the gangly skinny guy like we've seen before."
"No, he's not. He's got some muscles." And Jaclyn didn't feel the least bit bad about eyeing him appreciatively for a few moments.
"Seriously." Eve was admiring him a bit as well. "Wonder if any of the Spideys around here will try to get a picture with him?"
"Oh god I hope so." Jaclyn grinned. "We can keep an eye on him through the day."
"Definitely." And it wasn't hard to keep track of him, either: he seemed to accumulate quite a crowd no matter where he went, and Eve was able to just follow the people whenever she wanted to see where he was.
Jaclyn grinned when she saw people getting pictures with him, and him photobombing some unsuspecting people.
"He's acting just like DP. It's really fun." |
"It really is," Eve said, grinning. She took out her phone and switched on the camera. "I'm going to see if he'll let me get a picture."
"Go for it. I'll wait and see if he says yes to you." Jaclyn grinned and waved her on, just watching for the moment.
Eve grinned and went over.
"Hey," she said. "Would you mind terribly...?" She held up her phone, camera facing him. |
"Sure! Get in here!" Deadpool grinned at her, beckoning her over. He threw up a peace sign, just because, and made a funny face behind the mask, again just because.
"Awesome," Eve said, grinning. "Epic costume, by the way. It's perfect."
Deadpool grinned and waggled his eyebrows. "Who says it's a costume?" he asked, leaving it at that as he looked over at another person asking for pictures.
