My college town has 200,000 people in it, so the traffic is endless. I stay off of main roads at all costs.
|
200,000?!
Mine has around 40k but it's still highly trafficked because of its placement next to a highway. Literally, it's right next to a highway. You can see my colleges football stadium from it. |
Indeed. :) It's been a college town since the 1800s. It's also consistently listed as one of the top five cities to live in the United States. It's a big town with a small town feel.
The interstate runs right next to my college town. It's the first town worth a crap once you enter Colorado from the northern border. |
We're both in college towns but my is actually a small college town with the campus taking up a good 1/3 of the town. We also have a nice historical downtown area.
But the question is: Do you see a stadium from it? No? Thought so. |
Our downtown is famous for being one of the top five old college towns in the country. Sorry, not meaning to brag, but yeah. It's my favorite town to walk around in. It feels very safe even at nighttime despite the amount of people.
We can't see the stadium, no. Because our football team is horrendous. However, once they build the new one, who knows. Maybe it'll be as big as their egos and you will be able to see it from the interstate. XD |
But my college is rated in the top 10 as one of the best bang for your buck colleges in the nation. Two can brag this game.

My Old Town is so big I can't even find a picture to show it off. XD But yeah, sorry. Being one of the top five cities to live in in the U.S. for the last 10 years wins.

It just means your city has more problems. Not to mention you now have to deal with the sudden influx of stoners.
So on top of that: You lose. |
I feel like the subject has kind of gotten off topic, and may scare people off? [sweat]
|
Lol, no it doesn't, and the stoners were always there. Now they just don't hide. Besides, they're harmless and good for business. Not only are they paying 100s of millions of dollars in taxes for their weed, but they go out to restaurants for pot munchies. XD Means our economy is getting better.
So there. Again. ---------- Post added 05-08-2014 at 08:28 PM ---------- It always goes off topic when Cole's around. [lol] |
Hahaha. It won't scare anyone off. Unless they're scared of a piss match between two separate states and two separate colleges.
You lose though because you're a women, Ely. :P |

And yeah, just join the arguing. [lol] |
Though, one of my colleges football players did get busted for drug trafficking...
So.... |
Ah, well. I could say some bad shit about the football teams around here, but that WOULD be a hard conversation to join.
---------- Post added 05-08-2014 at 08:34 PM ---------- Also. *drags conversation back to the Uni thread* |
jellysundae: I got your ping BadJelly, looks interesting, so I've made a response, and a disclaimer for my language too lol! [lol]
Upload should be done in about an hour or so. EDIT: EDIT: Forgot to post the question under it! Question: With all other influences, internal and external, taken care of (ie health, finances, food, shelter, family etc), what would peoples dream job/ideal occupation be, and why? |
