"I never really understood much of art myself" Horatio admitted, "though most of it is visual and the only way I could see the colours is to touch them-and that's generally frowned upon" he chuckled.

Ciara smiled, "Yes, I could see that being frowned upon... Oh, you should know if you need anything like clothes or books or anything feel free to ask Charles. He gives us all an allowance and since you're staying here you get one as well." She said with a smile.

"Oh, I have plenty of money" he assured her, "how do you think Charles' family got rich in the first place?"

"Oh. nonono I didn't mean you weren't well off or that you were poor." She stated quickly, waving her hands back and forth. "I..I just meant... Nevermind." >///>

Horatio chuckled, "It's alright. When you can easily find out the winner of anything ever... well, it's easy to make money as you need it. I might have given Xavier's family a tip a couple of generations back-after all, I needed someone to look out for my sisters." and Ciara, but he wasn't going to add that part just yet.

"Oh. I see..." She said still feeling very awkward. She also couldn't help but be a bit nervous. Here was a tall, older teenager wanting to hang out with her... It was like a senior talking to a freshman.. it didn't really happen much.

Horatio seemed to notice and he paused for a moment, "... I'm making you uncomfortable... Apologies. I do not socialize often and I'm afraid that I never really learned the normality of it. Have I been inappropriate in asking you to show me around? I only thought that you seemed interested in speaking to me before, it would give me a chance to reply but now... I've... screwed it up..." he was trying very hard not to let it show how much that upset him but he couldn't very well stop time and take a breather now could he? "You should probably go to school..." he was about to tap her on the shoulder to send her back into the flow of things.

"No.no.no!" She took a step back to stop him, "That's not it at all!" She took hold of his hand and held it between hers. "I'm just. you're an older boy andddddddd I'm not use to... I mean.." She looked away shyly, "I just... you..." she looked back up at him and paused, she stared for a few seconds before turning away from him, "I mean... I'm not very good at this either." She couldn't figure out how to explain it. Now that he was in front of her instead of behind a door... It was different. Not in a bad way...

"This was a lot easier when I had not left my room" Horatio voiced his own thoughts, not realizing that she was thinking along the same lines. He thought a moment, then, holding her hand, he lead her to the nearest doorway. Leaving her on one side he closed the door between them and spoke through it, "... Would you care to start over?"

Ciara blinked and after a few seconds of silence burst out laughing. "Ok..." She knocked on the door.

He opened the door a crack and peeked out at her shyly, "Who is it?"

"Ummm... Ciara. Do you... Do you wanna go for a walk?" She asked, also being shy about it.

"No" he replied and closed the door only the open it again a second later with a smile, "Just kidding. I would love to."

Ciara giggled, "Great. So what kind of things do you like to do?" She asked, holding her arm out for him to take.

He hooked arms with her, "Um... I..." he was shutting down already. Things he liked to do? "... travel through time and alter the past, present and future towards making a better world?" he replied uncertainly.

"Ehh?" She blinked, "I mean what do you do in your spare time? Hobbies? Read? Write? play?"

Horatio blinked at her.

"Oh... I guess saving the time line from doom is kinda a full time job huh?"

"Uh... yeah" He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "I don't think I've ever been in one place longer than a few months before. And it's already been six weeks" he looked up at the ceiling as he thought about it, "... damn... six weeks..."

"Well, I guess we're have to change that..." She said with a smile, "Do you like classical music?" She asked.

"I helped Beethoven create his fifth symphony" Horatio nodded and smiled again, "it was quite entertaining, the blind and deaf creating music. It was beautiful though, and to think he wanted to stop composing because of a simple writer's block" he sighed, "we would be in our fifth world war by now if he had."

"Oh wow... Well, would you like to go out with me this weekend? The Trans Siberian orchestra is coming to town.." She asked shyly. "I mean if you're busy that's fine! and I mean, not like a date date... Umm..." x///x

"That sounds delightful" Horatio replied, taking her hand and kissing it lightly, "Though I think it is time you headed off to school now, don't you? I will speak with you again later" as he held her hand the world's colour came rushing back to life around them. The sudden noise and motion of the world could be a bit disorientating.

Ciara's face turned bright red upon his lips kissing her hand. But she soon got distracted by the amount of noise. "Wow... Never realized how noisy the world is... I'll talk to you later." She said before hurrying off to get ready for school.

Once she was gone, horatio let himself fall back against the wall with a deep breath. His heart was racing and his head was spinning.
