Would you care to join me... The words rang through her mind over and over again.

"You... you're going to take me home?" She asked her eyes widen.

Artifex 08-05-2014 02:33 AM

"Call it a vacation of sorts" Loki replied, "you will be returning here afterward, and you will not leave my side the entire time, but yes. I will take you back to Midgard for three days. We will collect the items on your... extensive list and bring it back here."

GinKadia 08-05-2014 02:38 AM

"Oh..." Her heart sank a little when he mentioned she would return to this frozen hell hole afterward.

No... she had to be brave, this might be her only chance... If she could slip away from him somehow on midguard...

"...Very well." She held her hand out for him to take.

Artifex 08-05-2014 02:41 AM

Loki took her hand, "You might want a jacket" he advised.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 02:45 AM

Ceres walked back to small bedroom and pulled a thick kimono jacket and slipped it on, as well as boots.

Artifex 08-05-2014 02:52 AM

AND THEN ADVENTURE.

Loki teleported them away from the castle, first to a deep cave where he ventured forward, only to return ten minutes later, shaking his head as he teleported them again. This time they were on top of a massive cliff and he peered over the edge but still not seeing what he wanted, they had to teleport away once more. They did this again and again for the next three hours, pausing here and there for a break until finally he found the right spot.

Deep in a crevice that was oddly similar to the grand canyon if it was made of ice, Loki lead Ceres through a tunnel. Up ahead a gust of warm air blew towards them and soon they were stepping into the brisk night of the Australian outback.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 03:16 AM

Ceres took a deep sweet breath of the midguardian air. So fresh and filled with life. She walked over to a tree and ran her hand over it. "...Australia. We're in Australia.

Artifex 08-05-2014 03:21 AM

"good, you know where we are" Loki commented as he took out a map from his coat pocket. Several locations were marked; each of their family estates and xavier's mansion most notably but there were also several others of curious note. Somewhere mid-africa, canada, brasil, China...
Loki took a good look around the area to remember the spot where the portal was for now and then found Australia on the map and marked it as well. Apparently he didn't have this portal point yet. "We can go anywhere except here" he pointed at Xavier's school, I will deliver your letter lastly and by myself. Before then, we must collect the other items."

GinKadia 08-05-2014 03:32 AM

If she was suppose to never leave his side... how was he going to deliver the letter without her? That would probably be her one chance of escaping him. But there was also the chance that while they picked up the things on the list she could be get spotted on a security camera.

The X-men would surely be looking for them still and without her device, it won't be to hard for them to spot her.

Ceres looked down at the map and pointed to a place in England, "We can get Vesta's teas from here as well as a few other things from the list." Britian... perfect, they had security cameras everywhere. You couldn't throw away trash in street without being caught on camera.

Artifex 08-05-2014 03:36 AM

"Very well" he tucked the map away and took her by the hand, causing Ceres to turn into her bird form. He set her on his shoulder and teleported them to Britain in an alleyway. Stepping out into the light he looked around and adjusted his attire accordingly to they styles of clothing he saw around them.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 03:42 AM

No! She chirped at him. Damn it all... Did he even know about technology? Regardless she didn't want to be a bird.
Change me back! I don't... I don't...

The warm rays of the sun shone down on her feathers. She hopped down from Loki's arm and flew into a large potter on the sidewalk and started to curl up. Suuuuuunnnn She said softly. Oh sweet wonderful sun.

Artifex 08-05-2014 03:44 AM

"I am not changing you back" Loki replied bluntly, apparently able to understand her still. Then she fluttered off and he looked at her oddly, "what are you... oh." he sighed, "You will get plenty of light from my shoulder, now come" he picked her up again and placed her on his shoulder, "we have things to do"

GinKadia 08-05-2014 03:48 AM

Ceres shifted on his shoulder and closed her eyes, "mmmmm....k" She chirped, her body going into hibernation mode while it soaked up some sweet rays... on one of London's lesser rainy days.

Artifex 08-05-2014 03:52 AM

Loki went to work on the list, basically creating illusionary money as needed. Gullible Midgardians.
And they moved from place to place, sticking mostly with the ones that were currently in a day cycle because hey, that's when the shops were open. Loki didn't let Ceres out of his sight for one second.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 04:03 AM

And for the first day it wasn't much of an issue. Ceres was so out of it as her body recharged on the sunlight that she barely left his shoulder. The second day however she was a bit more bolder. Hopping over to products and things that they needed. Or was she trying to get away and just happened to land on the items they needed?

Artifex 08-05-2014 04:11 AM

Regardless of the reasons Loki did not allow her out of his sight. Anytime she ventured too far for his liking she would feel a tugging sensation on her wings where the bracelets would be, drawing her back towards him.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 04:16 AM

The first time had truly startled her. She had had no idea he could control the bracelets in such a manner. It truly made her feel trapped. Before she had though that if she got away and got to the mansion, perhaps they someday might find a way to help her back to her human form or that at least she would be a free bird as oppose to a caged one.

But the magic tugging her back made it clear, she was his and she was in a cage of his own design.

Artifex 08-05-2014 11:18 AM

They stayed in only the nicest of hotels, royal and presidential suites only. Though he did also get a bird cage for when he was sleeping so she could fly off in the night.

He also made a few calls to people that he apparently knew which was probably the oddest thing to see because he went to a telephone and cast a spell on it to use it. Evidently he didn't know their phone numbers but clearly that didn't matter. These mysterious people sent a truck load of sand to an agreed area for them, followed by a truck load of soil.

And where did he keeps all this? Loki's trusty pocket dimension could hold quite a lot apparently.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 01:33 PM

Ceres had had the feeling that Savage aka Loki had allies or people working under him on Midguard and the phone calls confirmed it.

She was rather sad about the fact he apparently had a pocket dimension. This meant he would be on Midguard even less.

Artifex 08-05-2014 01:52 PM

"I have told you this before" Loki was pacing the bedroom as he spoke on a burner phone. His voice was that of Savage, "America is irrelevant. Why does everyone seem to think it is the most powerful nation on this planet? They are inches away from collapsing in on themselves, in fact, I could make that happen in a day. Now ignore their prattling and get to work." he threw the phone on the ground and crushed it beneath his heel.
He tended to destroy a lot of phones at the end of phone calls... he didn't trust the 'hang up' button.

With a frustrated sigh the King of Jotenheim stepped into the main room, which was basically a large living room, and he sat down on one of the couches. An assortment of food was spread across the table, all fruits and vegetables-he hadn't ordered a single thing else since they came to Midgard. The staff probably thought he was a vegetarian.

Leaning back he popped a grape in his mouth. He was sick of meat, Frost Giants were essentially carnivores and that was all they had, day in and out, it was... boring. Midgard at least had a proper selection of food, it still wasn't as high quality as Azgard but it was still a heavy improvement from Jotenheim. He was going to have to set things into motion more quickly.

GinKadia 08-05-2014 02:01 PM

Ceres ruffled her feathers as she awoke... Right, birdcage...

She hated the cage, even if it had a silk made nest for her to sleep in. It just... felt weird.

After the first night in the cage, Ceres had stopped talking all together and she intended to continue to do so. Even though she'd love to ask for one of those raspberries or a strawberry. But even if she got one, she'd be a bird... and eating it as such in front of him was humiliating.

Artifex 08-05-2014 02:21 PM

Seeing that she was awake, Loki snapped his fingers and the cage opened, allowing her to come out. And of course, should she decide to do so, he would turn her back into a human. "Let me guess" he commented, noting her grumpy attitude, "I said we'd be coming back to Midgard and your first thought is 'perfect time to fly away and never return', am I correct?" he didn't really give her a chance to answer, even if she hadn't been giving him the silent treatment, "After all this, do you really think that I am an imbecile? That I would just let that happen? You wouldn't be here at all if I was not confident in my ability to bring you back, in fact, regardless of that I still considered that it might be against my better judgement. But this is not just about you, or I."

He ate another grape and sighed, "This is about the Spriglings." he looked at her, "Surprised? You shouldn't be. I would think after spending so much time with them yourself, you would see that much. They don't actually belong on Jotenheim but they were wiped out from their home realm eons ago and they are at risk of extinction again."

GinKadia 08-05-2014 03:11 PM

Ceres hopped out of her cage and flew over onto the back of the couch he had draped himself across.

She knew he wasn't stupid. She knew getting away from him would be almost impossible but... She'd had hope of the possibility. And now those happy encouraging thoughts of freedom, no matter how small in percentage had been crushed to pieces.

She eyed the grapes as he popped them into his mouth one by one. When was the last time she'd had a grape? She looked away whenever he glazed toward her.

She shifted in place, oh sure... make this all about the springlings... the cute and adorable race of little people. She hated it. She hated how he made tried to explain himself for kidnapping them. How he was some kind of saint.

Artifex 08-05-2014 03:53 PM

Loki raised a brow at her, "Don't give me that look. I know it isn't a popular opinion but in some cases the ends do justify the means. If forcing you to stay in Jotenheim for a time will save a realm and it's races, then I will be the cruel man who steals you from your home and I have no qualms about it. That doesn't however mean that my soul purpose is to make you miserable" he snapped his fingers, turning her back into a human and pulling her into his lap, "and I apologize if that is the effect you take from it." he held a strawberry to her lips

GinKadia 08-05-2014 04:04 PM

Well even though it was a place she did not want to be, she was slightly grateful for him pulling onto the couch. Otherwise she would have fallen backwards off the couch and onto the floor. Being transformed back into a human form always left her in odd positions, this time she had been in the fetlie position.

Her face turned bright red and she was to scared to move. She looked at the strawberry and then back at him. She really did want to have it but to submit would be...

She shallowed and slowly wrapped her lips around the strawberry. Ahhh... heaven. She missed strawberries.
