The Strength of Heart-And Iro and Cora RP
Vivianna, what sort of name was vivianna? It made her sound like some sort of princess, and she was no princess. She lay back against her straw bed staring at the rough thatched ceiling and sighed. No, Vivianna would never work from that point forward. She would insist upon being called Vee, at least it was closer to something that could be respected. She would garnish respect if it was the last thing she did.
She sighed again and got out of the straw. She began pulling pieces of straw off her clothing as she thought over the things that had occurred over the past 72 hours. Vivianna had always been strong willed, free with her words, and strong enough to take on most of the other boys in the village. All this had ever caused her was to be looked on with discontent. The boys in the village hated that she made them look bad on a semi regular basis and as such she was never welcomed into there ranks. The girls in the village never really associated with her either. She was far too loud and unrefined for them. Even the adults in the village frowned down there nose at her. When it came down to it, Vivianna had always been alone. Only Ornella had ever stood by her side. Darling little Nellie. She almost felt bad that she had dragged Nell into her battles. Which brought her thoughts back to 72 hours ago. Vee had fought with the entire village her entire life, verbally bullied because she was a boy in a girls body. Verbally of course, because no one could best her physically. Not those in her village anyways. She was called name after name from the distance they dared to come near her. She had been so angry tears shown in her emerald eyes, it was the final straw in a long line of endless battles. In the end she turned to them and told them all that she was gonna make it in the academy. The academy at the Capital city of Duvai. She was going to become a Dragon rider and show her village just who held all the power. In Duvai dragon riders were not unheard of but they were not highly revered as they were to her village. To be a dragon rider meant to be someone respected. Even as a woman, if she could bond with a dragon, her village would no longer hate her. She'd no longer be alone. Vee finished plucking the bits of straw from her barely acceptable outfit for a woman. It was free form and easy to move in. In the eyes of her village it was another one of her numerous flaws. She pulled her long crimson hair back away from her face and headed out into the bright sun equipt with her father's sword at her hilt. She looked up at the sky and saw the dragon pass by, as was not unheard of in her village. With one more deep sigh she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed towards the dragon shrine to say her prayers for there journey. |
