Laying silently there on the hospital bed with the only noise going through the room were the sounds of the heart monitor going off with multiple sounds of beeping over and over every second or so, and the sounds of doctors distant talking from outside of the room; was Ryosuke Mamoru. It had been a whole day since he had been laying there within the hospital; wounds covering his body from head to toe with slashes, claw marks, bruises on every part of his body. However, not a single part of his body looked as though it had been swollen unlike how a mortal would've taken damage such as the ones he had went through. Normally, any human that would've taken as much pain as Ryosuke had gone through yesterday; would've been dead and their body wouldn't even been able to be recognizable to any sort of way. Ryosuke though, wasn't any ordinary human; better yet, he wasn't even human to begin with, he was a demon. Obviously all of those doctors and nurses that had taken care of him hadn't known of what he truly was but it was probably for the best that they hadn't known that.

All the humans within the hospital seemed to have some sort of religion that they believed in and it seemed as though each one of those religions seemed to believe that demons were pure evil, so the thought of them knowing what he truly was; might've cause it so that they wouldn't even think of helping him.

The battle that had caused Ryosuke to end up hospitalized the way he was at the moment was unclear even to himself. The male that had attacked Steven had looked pretty much just like any ordinary human; just as Ryosuke did when he was within his humanoid form. However, each punch the male had thrown at him was like a million demons had slammed their fist against him all at once. The thought of surviving the battle even surprised Ryosuke whether he wanted to admit it or not; but none of that really mattered to him in the end. If that male was trying to harm Steven in any sort of way whatsoever; Ryosuke would step in and protect her with his very life if it meant it. The only thing that he couldn't seem to get out of his head was that the male seemed to had known Steven's name before Ryosuke could even call out to her to tell her to get away from the area. How did he know her; true, she may had told him about her life a bit before but this male seemed to know her much more than he should've. It had seemed as though the only way he was truly able to survive that battle was for him to go into his own demon form to fight this male; it was only then that he realized that the male he was fighting was another demon as well. The only reason he was able to tell the male he was fighting was another demon was due to his centuries of training over and over again that he was able to sense the intense demonic aura that came from the male. Luckily enough though, being able to repel the male's attacks in the end, even if it caused his body to drop to a severe condition of nearly dying, he was able to protect Steven.

As the hours went by slowly, so did his wounds. Ryosuke may had been a demon and his wounds did indeed heal much quicker than those of an ordinary mortal's. However, with the battle he had went through and the amount of demonic aura that leaked from both the males, it seemed as though his own mind seemed to had refused to heal the wounds quicker than they normally would when taking the hit from any mortal weapon like a gunshot for example. Though, that didn't mean his wounds wouldn't still heal completely in the end. After all of his wounds were taken care of, it was only a matter of time that Ryosuke's own mental state would allow him to reawaken from his coma-like state. What he didn't realize in the end was due to the explosion of the final hit between the two males; the power that came from the two of them had been high enough to the point that the only way his mind was able to keep itself intact was for it to literally shut down completely. With the major shut down of his own brain and the extreme aftershock of the explosion to follow along, Ryosuke's mind had ended up nearly erasing half if not his entire memory of everything his life had gone through.

It was only minutes later after a doctor had come to do a daily routine check onto Ryosuke's condition before leaving that the sounds of groaning coming from him was heard. His redish purple eyes slowly reopening themselves after the long rest he had gone through. He slowly began to shift his gaze left to right as he felt a strange yet just barely familiar feeling of someone's warmth on his hand. "Where...am I..?" His voice was low to a near whispering tone as he slowly tried helping himself to sit up. Soon enough he turned to look over at the female sitting beside him, a single brow raised for a moment as he stared at Steven completely confused of who she was and what she was doing in the same room as him. Rather than immediately asking her who she was, he had first waited for an answer to his first question. Maybe she was just someone that watched over him while he slept or something; since from what it seemed like from the area he was laying in, he was in the hospital.

Sitting there in a complete confused state as Ryosuke had stared at Steven who had stood up and spoke about him scaring her half to death. Being told right after that his wounds were actually still healing and that he shouldn't move too much along with a name to follow in her next sentence, Ryosuke had continued to stare blankly into her eyes as though he were looking right through her. 'Ryosuke', was that his name or something; whatever it was, he had done his best to just use as much common sense as he could to try and remember but only to receive a horrible headache from thinking about it. Quickly moving his free hand to touch the side of his head to ease the pain a bit, he shook his head lightly before returning his gaze back onto Steven. The woman seemed to had known him quite well, almost too well; but to him, she didn't even look one bit familiar to him in any sort of way at all. If he had tried to think about it, his head seemed to hurt even further to the point that it felt like his skull was going to snap in two.

As she explained to him that he was within the hospital due to a battle and massive explosion that he was in. Ryosuke had raised a brow towards her as she spoke about 'everyone', things were really becoming weird now. He had just woken up from some sort of coma only to be met face to face with a woman who seemed to be very concerned about his health and condition from being within the hospital. Now, he was being told that he was within a battle and there were others who were shocked that he survived some sort of explosion. All Ryosuke could do the entire time was remain silent until Steven had leaned forward to press her lips against his forehead. Although as she had leaned forward, he had made sure to lean backwards just slightly but in the end was kissed on hi forehead anyway. "Who...are you?..." Were the only words that could come from his lips since those were the only words that kept ringing within his head to ask Steven the entire time.

"Seriously, I just met you..and now your kissing my forehead? do you do that to all the patients that wake up in the hospital?..you know, that's not really healthy to be spreading kisses around like that." Ryosuke had explained to her with a warm smile coming from his lips; by his facial expression and his tone of voice, it was more than obvious enough but sadly that he was being completely serious about what he was saying and it wasn't some sort of bad joke. "Also, if you have the time...to answer this too...uhh..you called me; Ryosuke. Right?...just double checking but is that my name or are you just mistaking me for another patient by accident?" He questioned Steven with a light chuckle from his lips as he used his free hand to point to himself as he spoke to her curiously.

Having the subject about some sort of fight being brought up yet again a second time but this time being the reason behind why Ryosuke had lost his memory. He had simply continued to sit on the bed as he watched Steven make her way over towards the window. Did this woman really know him and was what she was telling him really true about all this. He had lost his memory in a fight to the point he lost nearly all of his memories; was such a thing really that possible. Even if it was, taking a look at his own body; he looked to be just completely fine without any real injury other than his major headache everytime he had even stopped to give any thought of who he really was or who Steven really was. This made it slightly hard to believe that everything he had lost of his memory was due to some kind of just simple battle, but this was no place for Ryosuke to really disagree when he barely had any knowledge of anything at this point.

Raising a brow when Steven had explained to him that there was no possible chance that she could've mistaken him for any other patient and that he was the only Ryosuke that she ever even knew to begin with. At least, the bit of information about his name was cleared up for a fact that he was indeed Ryosuke. Although what she had said about how her heart had lead her to him and no one else was a bit of a confusing matter that made him a bit more curious about who she truly was. "The heart..lead you to me?.." He repeated her words as he moved a single hand over his own heart as he listened to his own beat at a steady pace. The sound of the heart monitor still beeping steadily as he slowly closed his own eyes to listen to it, almost as though he were searching for some sort of answers that Steven was able to get out of finding him with her heart. However, no matter how much he waited or searched; he found nothing but darkness.

Reopening his eyes slowly as he returned his gaze back to Steven as she stated the fact that she was unaware to whether or not she was going to tell him who she was or let alone who the two of them used to mean to each other. As she had began to explain the whole fact of how the two of them were once lovers for quite some time, his eyes had immediately widen up in shock as he blinked multiple times rapidly in surprise that he was dating someone as beautiful as her. That being pretty much all that she would tell him, the sound of the heart monitor had quickly began to beep at a much more quickened pace at the thought that he was once dating her before his lost of his memory. Biting onto his lower lip as he looked down at the sheets of the hospital bed, Ryosuke found himself completely lost of what to say or do at this point. It wasn't like he could tell her that she was wrong when he could barely remember as much as to who he really was himself.

Slowly looking back over to her with a nervous yet concerned look across his face as though he were on the verge of panicking of what to say or do at this point. Ryosuke found himself being told that Steven wished to help him so that he wouldn't be alone. At this point, any and all help would've probably been for the best since he was basically speechless of what his options really were at this point. "Y-yeah...uhmm...that would really be helpful. So...can I leave here now, or do I have to sit here for something?" He questioned her once more as he looked around the room, hearing as how the heart monitor was still rapidly beeping but slowly enough coming back down to it's steady pace once again. 'Whats going on...why can't I remember anything..?' Ryosuke had kept asking questions to himself within his head as he did his best to see if he could remember even the slightest bit of detail of what happened before he had ended up getting himself stuck in the hospital at this very moment. However, nothing came to mind whatsoever as every came in as either complete darkness or all blurs. "Uhmm...could I get your name..miss?.." He questioned her once more as he turned his attention away from hi thoughts back onto Steven. Throughout the whole time she had tried to help him while he sat there, she hadn't given him her name; or was she also worried that the name giving might've been something that might've triggered too much pain.
