I nearly drowned when I was eight mostly because I could not swim well, so I was absolutely terrified of swimming at all until recently, but we do not have any nearby open pools at the moment, so I still have not learned how to swim. That being said, I certainly do agree that children should be taught how to swim at an early age, given my experience especially. As for how I cool off in the summer, I basically sit in front of an air conditioner all day. [:P]
