Dibs on Marshall. Be my Lily? We need a Ted. Maybe you're the Robin. Perhaps you'd like to act out your inner sociopath and go with one Barney Stinson. Can we get a Blitz? Awww man! I'd love it if this got huge and we ended up with like all kinds of guest stars.

But even if only one person is remotely interested in doing this and YOU are that person then please, please let me know??

This seems like a tremendously fun idea. At what part would this lost season be taking place? (Between 1 and 2 season, after the last season... Before the 1st season?! o.O) I can take a little bit of spoilers, but I'll just let you know, I haven't watched the last season yet. It's not come to Netflix, I don't have but one tv channel, because I lost my remote, and my computer is super slow. But once it's on Netflix, I will be finished with the entire story!
I'm just wondering, pretty much to know the relationship status of the group. That could have a large effect on who I want to play.

Oh my god oh god oh god. I haven't seen the last season either. I managed to watch the last episode online. Anyway, I was thinking somewhere after the 5th season?? We can narrow it down based on what stories we want to tell. We could have so many flashbacks. Early seasons, pre show stuff? It can all come up in flashbacks. I love college era HIMYM but we gots to have Barney and Robin. Whether or not they're together.

Did you maybe have in mind who you wanted to be? Who could you really dig your heels in as?

I'm watching the last episode to the fifth season right now, I've seen these episodes so much, I'm hoping just this one is enough to catch up on what's happening there. So far, I know that Lily and Marshall are trying to have a kid, due to Barney's "Doppelganger." And Ted goes Blonde. xD I love blonde Ted. This is when Robin and Don break up. Barney is up to.. Barney things. Ted, I don't think is dating anybody.

We could totally fill it with flashbacks! And.. Maybe somewhere, at somepoint, young Robin/Barney met young Ted/Marshall/Lily, just once? It's just an idea, though.

I'm terribly sorry for not responding sooner. I forgot to add this to my subscriptions list..

As for who I would be interested in playing, that's a tough decision. I could play Robin, but I might make a slightly nicer Robin then usual. Just because I don't know if I could balance out the niceness/the yelling, and all that.
I could play Lily, but I'm not entirely sure how to be a female. That sounds very strange coming from a female, I know. But I'm quite tomboyish, and not so womanly. I can still try.
I could play Barney, though I feel like I would have to censor out some of his ways. I don't actually know where the line stands on Menewsha, as to how inappropriate I can get.

I would probably stand my best chance being Ted. I hope I can do any of them justice. He's a romantic, I'm a romantic. He's kind-hearted, I'm kind-hearted. He's pretentious, I can be sometimes. He can make inappropriate jokes, though he's not like Barney. We have a lot of important things in common.
But, I can try being any of these characters, if you want me to be a certain one.

(Just so you know, it took me the entire length of the episode to write this. XD I got sort of distracted.)

I had typed out a bunch of stuff about how you made a pretty strong case for Ted but then I started thinking about how you were considering a softer Robin, and pre show, flashback stuff and holy cow.

How wild would it be if Robin Sparkles had played a gig at the Mall of America in Minneapolis. And since she's only famous in Canada it didn't go well. Marshall tagged along with his older brother Marcus, okay, he found out he was going and blackmailed him into bringing him along. Marcus ditches Marshall as soon as possible and Marshall's left hanging by himself. Enter Robin.

She would still be kind of bubbly at this point, but still quite a bit of a tomboy underneath.

Oh my god, that sounds awesome!! I think that'd be a lot easier kind of Robin to pull off, as well!

Would you want that to be a sort of flashback thing, or a main story?

Also, would you want this to be a story between the two of us, or do you want to try to get some more people?

I'd love to get a group together but since we have something pretty friggin epic already, maybe we could get started with this? We can set it up, keep it open to others who may like to join in. If they do join, their posting would interrupt the flashback ((which would feel like the show!))

For that matter we could interrupt our own flashback with modern interjections if/when it feels right. I do hope we kick up some interest, and that others will consider joining in ...but let's get started.

Should I start as adult Robin?
What era is the flashback going to be in?(Highschool, College)
And, not so important, but an idea I had; Do you want this is be like one episode, and start a new roleplay per episode? Or do you want this to be the full story?

Answering those questions in no particular order: I would love to do episodes. That way if we come up with off the wall ideas that don't fit with the current story we can just make another episode.

Also sorry I just sort of posted and started without discussing anything really. Again I get too excited about things. The photo strip being found and revealed by douchey Marcus was my answer to how does this even come up? Things being present tense was just a sort of get the ball rolling, intro to the flashback episode.

If you don't mind playing "modern" Robin for a post or two it would help set up the flashback. Why have they never talked about this? Did they both forget... or remember that day but not so much who they were with? Them's some meaty bits we can play with as the story unfolds.

Marshall can show her the post, since it stands to reason Marcus isn't on her social media. He would be on Lily's though dunnnn dunnnnn dunnnnnnn. So Marshall needs to sort this out.

Timeline wise the Robin Sparkles era would have been late teens for Robin. So probably the summer before college for Marshall.
