Impulse buying, me? Never!

I totally did not buy these just because of the name, nope, not at all. [t2h]

VeraDark 07-21-2014 06:03 PM

They knew exactly what they were doing.

jellysundae 07-21-2014 07:07 PM

xD Can't deny it's a clever marketting ploy, it worked on me! They were cheap though, just £1, and they're not bad. :D

Maria-Minamino 07-21-2014 07:07 PM

Too bad I still can't find a way to send you Entemann's.

VeraDark 07-21-2014 07:14 PM

Entemann's...

I eat their stuff, it's goooooood... [drool]

linapoo 07-21-2014 07:54 PM

chocolate is the best nom nom

jellysundae 07-21-2014 08:29 PM

Aw, Maria [hug] If you'd found a way to send me an Entemann's cake I'd just have sat and scoffed the whole lot, so maybe it's best that you couldn't. [blush]

Q U E E N 07-21-2014 09:47 PM

That looks so good [drool]

VeraDark 07-21-2014 10:43 PM

See, I'd buy a bunny plate and eat off it every day. It would become my only plate. I would eat off of it until you couldn't make out bunnies on it anymore.

I would eat Nom Noms and Entenmann's off it, even.

I found some chocolate box called "TITS" once, but I don't think that brand lasted long.

VeraDark 07-22-2014 01:05 AM

I'd buy chocolate TITS.

Those'd be the knees!

Yamka Jaden 07-22-2014 01:07 AM

Me, do that? NEVER! *ahem* Although with me it's more 'I don't need these beads but I'm going to buy them anyways' over chocolates, cakes, and ice cream. However, I won't say no to peanut butter cups.

VeraDark 07-22-2014 01:54 AM

I don't think anyone who's not allergic can say no to peanut butter cups.

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2014 03:36 AM

Speaking of impulse buying *COUGH* I bought a gameboy and a game on impulse XD

I tend to buy chocolate on impulse all the time...

Or those mario bros candies

Codette 07-22-2014 03:48 AM

....I'm so bad for impulse... Oh I need this. Oh I haven't had these in a while. Seriously I bought 4 packages of pens, just because they were BIC shimmers, gel pens and zebras. I didn't need pens, but I had to have them....

So what you're saying is that it went *ahem* tits up.

I'm quite guilty of impulse buying especially when it comes to graphic t-shirts but it's a habit I'm working on.
Just the other day I refrained from buying Mario Party 6 and the accessories to play a Gamecube game on my Wii from Amazon. It would have drained my bank account, hell without the $20 Visa gift card I've got I couldn't manage it at all.

onsenmark 07-22-2014 06:08 AM

My PS3 was an impulse buy; I only got it because it was an incredible deal, and I had the money to play with at the time. [sweat]

Ooh ooh, me me! Peanut butter cups are gross!. TOO. MUCH. SUGAR. Though to be more accurate it's probably too much corn syrup. I saw a thing on TV that said (in a nutshell) that it's Nixon's fault that American's are so fat. Getting farmers to mass-produce crops in the 50s to bring down food prices. Corn syrup doesn't exist in the UK, not as a thing sold in supermarkets, and the food manufacturers here don't use anywhere near as much fructose stuff as the US does.

Which, of course, is why brits find a lot of US food way too sweet, and why American's think a lot of our food is nasty!

Nope, stationery totally does not count as an impulse buy, never ever! We all need pens, even those people who never write anything any more because everything's done on a keyboard. [ninja]

Nooo, that's not an impulse buy, it's a wonderful bargain! No guilt, mister!

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2014 05:34 PM

Jelly it's because of the Fork in Mouth pandemic... not the food.
So many people I know that are overweight just can't stop eating...

So many times I've heard "I'll go on my diet tomorrow" as they stuff their face.

IT WAS BOTH. XD *runs away*

jellysundae 07-22-2014 06:01 PM

Yeah but Poet, what food is it that people are shovelling into their mouths? I somehow doubt that it's salad...

The Wandering Poet 07-22-2014 06:04 PM

Well no... it's usually not salad... pretty much everything else though...
I think most of it is grease... they like gorging on high quantities of meat.

Cherry Who? 07-22-2014 08:23 PM

I'll admit I fucking love peanut butter cups. Well, only Reese's. All the other ones are pretty gross. But my boyfriend got me a huge bag of mini Reese's cups for valentines day and... they were gone within a week. [oops]
