Indoor soccer, can't stand it. I have an extremely powerful kick and I could easily kick the ball down the other end of the field like it was nothing. I only play outside soccer
|
I've only played indoor soccer for three years, whereas I've played outdoor for over ten now. I was always dubious about indoor but I tried it and i think I like it a bit more than outdoor -- so long as you have plenty of teammates to substitute with. The first two years We only sometimes had four defence, myself included, but we mostly played with three. Having only one sub sucked, but playing games where there were no subs were even worse.
I think i like it more because the outdoor soccer club I'm a part of has lost so many players we had to merge with another club, and even then we barely have enough for a full team if everyone showed up. Which they didn't. One game we played with literally eight people in total. Eight. Geeze that was our most defensive game xD I think we lost 3-2... But yeah, having a super strong kick in indoor soccer is a pain because you're like "Boop" and the ball goes flying and then hits the wall and bounces all the way back. |
I can control my kicks pretty well... but it's better the player hit the grass [ninja]
I've nailed people in the gut with a full powered ball... |
Believe me when I say -- ouch oh my great goodness that hurts. I've been the "fall" and "ball to various surfaces of the body" magnet of my team so I've gotten my fair share of those @[email protected]
The worst was in indoor when the girl hit a full powered ball and I was right next to her. It hit my face, gave me a black eye and chipped my tooth xD No concussion, thank the powers that be. |
Oh dear o.o
Is that like a form of accident prone that only involves a ball? Geeze... no concussion? Sounds like that's all you didn't get |
Surprisingly enough, even though I happen to be accident prone, I've never once gotten a concussion.
And not just a ball -- in P.E. I would get hit by people, frisbees, sticks. It's like I'm a magnet for disaster, but like only when I'm playing sports xD |
That's the beauty of accident prone people... they always end up taking less damage somehow...
You would be an amazing soccer player... you'd foul the other team constantly [lol] |
Other teams have fouled me so many times it's like I don't even care anymore. My instinct when I fall is now to literally tuck and roll out of it. My dad calls it my "sushi roll" believe it or not! xD
|
haha XD
How do you get a foul for falling? (or wait... I think I'm confusing myself?) |
Hi Korn. I, uh, fall over a lot. Most of the time I catch myself though. Looks spazzy but at least I don't get hurt. I only get hurt when I bump into stuff. Which is always. Yay.
|
I get knocked into by the other team which causes me to fall and for the referee to call a foul on them xD
That sucks Penella, but thank goodness for quick reflexes! Otherwise you'd be perpetually covered in bumps and bruises which is not a good thing nuh uh. Well, hey, at least once you get used to bumping into things you start expecting it and thus start avoiding it? Maybe? |
Ooh... foul on them. Gotcha.
Yeah you'd totally flourish in professional sports XD I actually have a problem passed down through my family where they would occasionally lose balance for a moment... Fast reflexes are amazing for this owo |
Fast reflexes are a total godsend, particularly for accident prone, or stumbling prone, or just about anything prone people like ourselves!
|
I know my grandma would always try to "blame the wine" [lol] except we started noticing it would happen before she started drinking too XD
|
Oh geese that is a fantastic excuse xD
|
It was, for a number of years [lol]
Explains why my family breaks out the booze so fast... so she has an excuse to stumble XD I don't drink though so I don't have that excuse |
Well you can always blame it on the childish ghost that's been haunting you since you were young that likes to make you stumble somethings. :P
|
Nah, *cough* whatever it was doesn't bother me anymore [ninja]
|
Haha, Korn that's a great explaination to why people fall down :p haha. I'm the same with you, I tuck and roll if I can, unless I go straight down on my face which hurts. Broke my nose like that when I was younger. 'Sushi roll' is so cute and totally seems to go along with the tuck and roll.
|
Ouch! Breaking bones is never fun -- I can only imagine how painful breaking your nose was @[email protected] And yeah, when one begins to fall and isn't in a good position to roll out, it's the face that typically gets the brunt of it...
He's actually very proud of the nickname and after each soccer game he goes: "What, no sushi rolls today?" It's adorable xD |
Nah, I've dislocated both of my hips from the growth plates (I was like 7) and it's been causing me hell lately. I tried to go for a job in the defence force and I'm too much of a risk because of it. Oh well :) broken bones, where hospital food never gets any better
|
Ouch! The only dislocation I've ever had the pleasure of receiving was that of my left ring finger, and it was so minor I popped it back in and didn't realize it was dislocated until after the rugby game was over xD That sounds like ouch, though. Sorry about the defence force risk though :C I think hospital food is meant to make you want to get better faster so you can get away from it quicker.
|
Yeah, I'm going to be a cop now though. *pew pew* watch out Senior Constable Pumpkin is on the case! muhaha
Hospital food just taste funny, my mum use to cook dinner and bring it into the hospital for me so I didn't have to eat it. Plus i was a picky eater when I was young, but now I eat everything you put in front of me. |
All rise and salute the protector of justice, Senior Constable Pumpkin!
It does taste a bit funny, yeah. Thankfully I've never had to stay for more than like a day before being checked out by my parents. hooray for not-so-serious hospital injuries! Woohoo! And that sounds delicious [drool] your mom sounds pretty awesome. I'm on a see-food diet, if you know what I mean ;) |
My mum is still amazing to me even with the age im at. Example: last night i want to cuddle so my mum was on the couch and i sat on her lap for about 15mins till i hoped off for dinner. Shes pretty chilled about that sort of stuff.
SEE-FOOD DIET!!! HAHAHA!!! THATS SO FUNNY!!! I've never heard it before but trust in me, i will be using that quote forever now. I just say bulking season. |
