Name: Sita Colins Age: 18 Race: Human Bio: Sita is a gifted girl in the arts as well as reading emotions. She is so empathetic and wise for her age that it tends to alienate people for she seems strange and almost other worldly at times. But she just tries her best and lives. With painting and singing being her passion she strives to be the best she can be. While trying to juggle homework, and taking care of her younger sisters of course. |
(now lets begin)
Jasper sighed as he stuck his hands into his pockets and walked down the sidewalk. He had just gotten into town a few moments ago and so far the town looked peaceful. But he could see the darkness that was right under that peace, the darkness that he hunted. It meant that his prey was here. Smiling a little bit to himself, he looked up and wondered where the best vantage point would be. Looking around, he soon caught sighed of a clock tower and headed towards it, dodging people along the way. He didn't want to interact with him or anything, it was too painful to him. They were the ones that he had cared for and wanted to help. It was his fault for her not being here right now, if only he had gotten to her sooner. Shaking his head, he forced himself not to hunk about it anymore as he let his wings fan out. Taking off, he flew right to the clock tower that looked like it was part of a school or at least next to one. Flying closer, no one looked up to see him or anything. That was what happened once a angel's wings were visible, all who weren't of his kind were blind to what he was. Landing on the roof of the clock tower, he folded his wings to his back and slowly looked over the town that he would live in for now. |
Sita was happy school was almost over, as this day had been extremely strenuous. Walking around outside to cut across the court yard she was following the other art students. They had gone to a museum to get inspiration on their three dimensional project. The white haired girl had filled her sketch book with sketches and written ideas on all the new things that she had seen. As everyone walked, talked, and laughed a light breeze rustled over them all. Feeling something odd on the wind, Sita's eyes moved around and up, scanning the sky, and landed on a figure on the clock tower. How odd. Though she had seen more weird things before, but it felt different. A glow was around the figure that she couldn't quite make out. Realizing that she had gotten completely behind, she slowly pulled her gaze from the tower. Hearing her name called by another student she hurried back to them and apologized for making them wait. Glancing back up at the clock once more, and then going into the building she walked down the hall and into the art room, ready to get started on her project.
Jasper looked around and instantly his sight narrowed in on his first target. It was moving through the crowd of humans silently and none saw him. Jasper watched as it tapped watch human it passed and with each tap the humans seemed to grow dimmer. It was a rare find for jasper, a Dream eater. They tend to stay away and in bigger cities where talented people where, but it looked like this one was enjoying his time in this town. Jumping off of the tower, he soon landed on the ground near the school just as the Dream eater entered the school. Folding his wings onto his back, he rested his hand on the hilt of his blade as he headed inside. Silently, he headed down the hall and was glad that no students were around at the moment. He had been around school's enough to know that since no students were around it either meant a weekend or class was going on. Either way, he hoped that he could find the Dream eater before it found a human. Moving quickly, he searched the halls till he found the figure. He looked like a cloaked figure that had dark blue/black hands coming out of it and its hood was pulled up so that Jasper could only see its glowing blue eyes. Thankfully though the Dream Eater hadn't seen him, instead its eyes were only looking forward and towards the room it was entering. Cursing, Jasper rushed forward only to find that the demon had entered the room before he could stop him. Looking inside, jasper wondered what he could do to lead the demon out and not disturb the humans.
Sita was humming to the radio as it played in the classroom. She was drawing out her 3D project made out of moving mechanical parts. Knowing that she was being ambitious just made her all the more excited to start the project. That's when she felt it again, a presence. But this one didn't feel friendly, it felt dark. Clenching her pencil tightly in her hand, she noticed a boy walk into the room. He looked confused as he met her gaze. Smiling lightly she walked up to him. "Are you lost?" she asked lightly and then seeing him nod she decided to maybe help him out, and ignore his menacing aura. Telling the teacher where she was headed, she stepped out of the room and was about to step further into the hall when he touched her shoulder. She writhed in pain and out of instinct, stabbed the boy's hand with the pencil. He hit her, sending her flying into the wall and breathing heavily she gasped in horror seeing his true form coming out.
Jasper cursed when he saw a girl take notice of the Dream eater and instantly slunk away from the door. He then watched as a girl came out with the Dream eater and cursed as he shot forward just as the Dream eater touched her. Quickly he tackled the Dream eater away from the Human and pulled out his sword. The Dream eater shoved Jasper off of him just before Jasper could dig his sword into him. Standing between the Human and the Dream eater, he glared at it and waited for him to move in. But surprisingly, the dream eater didn't move forward and instead just howled at him before disappearing down the hall. Staying prepared, Jasper waited for any sign of him coming back now but there wasn't. The Dream eater was gone for now. Slowly putting away his sword, he turned to the human and kneeled down in front of her as made himself appear human for her. He knew that seeing angels sometimes shocked a human more then a encounter with a demon. "Are you hurt at all?" He asked softly, his voice sounding like it was made of silk. From the looks of it the Dream eater had only gotten a taste of her which meant that he would be back for her most likely.
Sita looked up shocked as a boy jumped in the way of the demon coming for her. Feeling faint, and her vision spinning from the encounter with the creature she couldn't exactly make out what was happening. The boy looked like an angel, but that wasn't possible, was it? The other looked like a demon, but that shouldn't be possible either. Maybe she was sick again, and having delusions again. This had happened before, where she thought people were creatures that they possibly could n't be. Shaking her head as the boy kneeled in front of her, she was still breathing heavily. "Dizzy.... Pain...." she rasped, her shoulder having a black splotch from being touched by the demon, which wasn't a normal mark for humans when touched. "Thank you... For helping me." she breathed seeming to get a better hold on herself. Leaning forward to try and get up, she fell forward and fainted in his arms unable to shake the shock.
Jasper watched her and hardly heard her when she responded. All his attention was on that black spot on her from where the demon had touched her. He had only seen this a few rare times when a non-human had been touched by a Dream eater. Usually humans just had a sore spot or a ache where they had been touched while their aura's seemed a little bit dimmer. But she didn't have any of that, she was abnormal. He then snapped out of his thoughts when he saw her trying to stand up and the instant he saw her faint, he wrapped his arms around her. This wasn't right at all. Gently picking her up, he carried her around till he found what looked like the nurses office. Peeking inside, no one was inside which was perfect since the bell rang just then. Heading inside, he laid her down as the school was filled with noise and stared at the black spot. It wasn't right, not right at all. Humans weren't suppose to react like this to a Dream eater, she was reacting as if she was a angelic being. He wasn't sure what to do. If he treated her like he would if a angel got touched by a Dream eater, he might hurt her since she wasn't a angel. But if he did nothing she would suffer. Yet as he watched her, he knew he couldn't just sit back and do nothing. Something about her just made him need to help her. Reaching behind him, he pull off one of his feathers and laid it over the black spot. He then took out his small dagger and held his hand over the feather. Gently, he sliced his hand and blood dripped down onto the feather which made it glow softly as he chanted, "septa clentorn vetora." After a few seconds the glowing stopped and slowly the blackness that was on her seemed to be going into the feather. Once the feather was all black, the spot on her was gone, now he just had to watch her to see if he had done the right thing.
Sita groaned as she felt the horrible pain slowly disappear which began to bring her back to consciousness. Slowly opening her eyes, she blinked trying to figure out where she was. Sitting up gingerly, she rubbed her shoulder and then noticed the new boy looking at her intently. Blushing as she realized that their faces where really close, she tucked her hair behind her ear. Looking away she tried to figure out what to say. What had happened? What was that pain? Was she really seeing things again? "I'm Sita... Thank you for helping me." she said softly, looking into his eyes again. They were so beautiful and vibrant. Her fingers clutching at the sheet on the nurses table, she really tried to figure this odd thing out. "Sorry to have, fainted... I am not sure what happened.... You really are too kind to help me." she said thankfully, feeling so much better now that her shoulder didn't throb. "May I know your name?"
Jasper sighed as he watched her open her eyes and was glad that she seemed okay. Yet he still kept a eye on her till she saw her blushing. Turning away slightly so that he wasn't staring right at her. He didn't need her to feel uncomfortable around him, especially after everything that had happened. Hearing her voice, he found himself closing his eyes slightly and enjoying the sound of it. She sounded almost exactly like her. "It is a pleasure to meet you Sita." He said as he looked into her with his dark brown/red eyes and smiled, "All that happened was a student seemed to have run into you and made you hit your head. So really it was no problem, it was my pleasure to help actually." He said as he smiled at her and hoped that she bought the story. He didn't need her knowing demons were about or that she was talking to a angel. "My name is Jasper Ivar and I've just recently transferred here." He said since he didn't need her asking questions of why he was here. It was better that she thought he was a transfer then some random stranger in the school.
Jasper. What a different name. She had never met a Jasper before. Smiling widely, Sita met his red brown eyes with her own green blue ones. Sighing softly in relief that she had once again seen something that wasn't real. "Well I'm glad that no one was seriously hurt. Thank you again for coming to my aid." she said gratefully. It was interesting that he had moved here. " Where did you transfer from? Somewhere close or far away?" she asked curiously and then realized she was probably was being a bit more intrusive then she should be. But she felt so open and trusting around this boy. His aura was light, and wonderful to be around compared to the scary guy she had run into. "you don't have to answer that question if you don't want too." Sita said softly and met those intesnsely beautiful eyes of his. She felt like she could trust him deeply, as if she had met him before, but she knew she never had met him before.
Jasper smiled as he looked at her green blue eyes that reminded him of the ocean. "no problem and I am glad too. I would have for someone to get hurt." He said and knew that he would have to keep a eye out for anymore demons that my come by. But there it was, the questions he knew that would come. "I transferred from far away and probably from a place you haven't heard of since it is a small country called Nevaeh." he said and was surprised for once since he didn't mind her questions. IN fact, he found himself rather enjoying her company when usually he just wanted to run off to the next demon. "So, is it possible for you to show me around the school? I just got here today so I don't know the way." He found himself saying and was glad he did. He didn't want to leave her just yet.
Sita listened with interest as Jasper actually began to answer her question. His words also rang true, she had no idea where that country was, or had heard of it. But for whatever reason, she felt like she could believe him. Smiling and nodding she then bit her lip. "I honestly haven't heard of that place before, it sounds interesting." she said lightly. Turning on her rear she slid off the nurses bed and then adjusted her uniform so it wasn't messed up anywhere. Once done she offered a bright smile and motioned to him. "I will show you around. That last bell meant school is over, but that means we don't have to fight people to get around. We will start at the office and work our way back to the art room since I need to grab my stuff." she said lightly and walked out the door. Walking through the door, she waited for Jasper to come through the door.
Jasper smiled when he heard her and was glad that she didn't' ask further questions. If he had refused to, he had found most humans would continue to bug you about it till they got a answer. "well if you have heard of it I would be surprised." He said since humans didn't need to know that Nevaeh actually meant heaven. If she had he would be worried. He then watched as she slowly got off the bed and smiled as he stood to follow her. "Thank you for showing me around, it means a lot to me." He said as he followed her out the door. Since she was showing him around that meant he could get a good look around the school and also be able to find the demon that he had seen earlier. But his one worry was that since he had found one that he may find another. If he found another, it would mean that demons were either making a new home here or that something was attracting them here. Either way, he didn't want that to happen.
Sita smiled and shook her head. "Its the least I can do to repay your kindness." she said lightly and brushed her hair behind her shoulder. She then began the tour, explain each room, giving insight on the teachers that worked there, and giving him tips on how to deal with each. Light jokes were thrown in now and again, showing her little quirks. Though all the information came with deep insight that for a high schooler, seemed really odd. Her empathy was something that almost no one had any more in the world of humans. It caused her to alienate a lot of people, seeming to know every emotion, but she tried her best not to freak out people anymore. COming to the art room, she blushed as she realized she needed to get her art exibit down. She had had a show to sell some art, and it was still up. Turning to Jasper she bit her lip. "I'm sorry about all the paintings and stuff. I just had an art show and sold a lot of this stuff since I need to start saving up for college." she said lightly and twisted her hair nerviously.
Jasper smiled as he heard her and just followed her through the halls. He didnt seem to feel anymore demons which was a good things but he had to be ready just incase. He had been given tours many times by humans, but he would say that he enjoyed hers the most. Her jokes were nice and her insight on everything was perfect, which was odd. She seemed to be able to read things very clearly when it came to people but Jasper was sure it was a ability that humans were slowly losing. But maybe she was one of the few who actually still had it. Yet all of these thoughts ended once he was inside the art room. Instantly he took in all the paintings and marveled at the beautiful paintings. Hearing her words, he smiled greatly at her, "I don't mind it at all." He said softly as he started to walk around and look at each painting. "All of them are beautiful, each of them seem to be telling a story about you or something else." he said softly and frowned just a little as he stopped in front of one. It showed a picture of two lovers and the two looked as if they were being pulled away form each other. He knew exactly how that felt and then looked over at Sita, "I love how much feeling is put into them, you can really feel it." He said softly and could now see why the demons liked it here. If there were people like Sita around, this was a paradise for demons. It was then that he felt a sliver of darkness and knew that even though he hadn't seen the dream eater it was still around. That meant he had to get Sita out of there before it attack her. "How about if we go out and get something to eat? I am a little hungry and I have no idea where any of the restaurants are." He said, trying to think of a excuse to get her out of there even though it probably sounded weird to her since it was so abrupt.
Sita smiled widely hearing him talk about her art as she gathered up her things in the back pack. Looking at the picture of the two lovers being ripped away from each other and her heart hurt. It always made her sad and long for something that she honestly couldn't put her words on. It was an unexplainable feeling since she obviously hadn't ever had a boyfriend before. But she knew of the pain of it some how. Looking up she then nodded with a smile and brushed her hand over the picture of a winged angel, with sword in hand walking into the sunset. Looking up in surprise as he spoke of getting something to eat, she stuttered for a bit. All her mind could think of for a second was a date, but she knew better. Snapping out of it and messing with her hair a bit she then moved to him and smiled. "I-I know a little place that does really good breakfast for pretty cheap." she offered lightly and offered a bright smile. Stepping out she then stopped and walked back over to the torn apart lovers and took it off the stand. Handing it to him, she grinned and nodded. "Go a head and have it. No one seems to want this one, and you found a great connection with it. So I know it will be in a good home with you." she said with care and adoration for the painting like it had its own soul. Then smiling brightly she motioned for him to follow her. "Its just down the street if you want to walk over there. Or I can drive."
When Jasper heard her stuffer, he looked around and wondered if she ahd seen something to scare her. Yet when he looked back at her, she seemed kind of flustered and he wondered why. If she had seen a demon he could understand but she was looking at a paintings. What ever the reason, he was glad she didn't see anything. Smiling at her, he nodded, "breakfast sounds wonderful right now." He said as he smiled down at her Though he was shocked to see her hand him the painting and gently he took it into his hands. "Thank you, I will treasure it." He said softly as he looked at it. Gently he touched the face of the girl in the painting and whispered, "wish you were here." He then shook his head and made sure he was thinking clear when he saw her motion for him to follow. Smiling he nodded, "lead the way." He said and it was then that he felt it. Eyes on them as they came through the doors and knew that the Dream eater was still there with them. Moving, he came to walk next to her and he rested his hand on sword that was strapped to his side. As long as he didn't draw it, no one else would see it, but with how the Dream eater kept on following them he had a feeling he would have to sooner or later.
Sita smiled brightly seeing Jasper take the painting and then began leading the way to the restraunt. Holding her sketchbook in one hand and a simple pen in the other her eyes moved around everything with a sparkle fleaming in them. She itched to find inspiration in the beautiful world around her, whether it was from the people or the land she didnt care, she just lived and breathed for producing her art. It was her deepest passion, and she desired nothing more then to touch people with her work. As they neared the restraunt a group of girls from the school was leaving it. They stared at Sita coldly and even though the white haired girl offered a kind smile, they bumped into her in passing and snickered as they left. Sighing heavily as she pushed down her anger internally Sita grabbed the door and held it open for Jasper and followed him inside. The restraunt was a quaint little place with a homey atmosphere and a great smell of food in the air. Waving to the owner Sita smiled widely and followed the old gentlemen to their table. "Good after noon Sita. Thank you again for the beautiful painting. My wife loved it for her birthday. " the man saod gratefully and she blushed lightly. "Youre more then welcome mr. Deveraxe. It was my pleasure. " she said lightly ans he chuckled. Asking what they wanted to drink Sita told him and once Jasper ordered his drink the man left.
Jasper kept close to her as they walked to the restaurant, the whole time the Dream eater now getting any closer. That was the odd thing and made Jasper a little distracted. He hardly even noticed the girls that seemed to purposely bump into her till they were already leaving. "I am guessing your not friends with them." he said softly, trying to act a little bit normal. Heading into the restaurant, he slid into the seat that was across from Sita and smiled at her. When he heard the man, Mr. Deveraxe, he knew that Sita was very kind and talented. RIght when he was about to order his drink, he heard the ding of the bell as someone walked in. Yet the moment he did, a chill ran up Jaspers spine. The Dream eater. Turning slightly, he saw the Dream eater staring right at them, darkness seemed to emit form him and it was only then that jasper noticed he was cornered. Cursing softly, he stood up, placing his hand on his swords just as the dream eater tapped a waiter, draining him. "Sita, stay in your seat." He said as he stayed in his seat and waited for the Dream eater to make his first move. A moment later, the Dream eater charged at Jasper and the fight began.
Sita gasped as she saw the thing from her hallucination enter the room. Shocked at the fact that the waiter Matt seemed to be disappearing before her eyes caused fear to spike through her being. How could this be happening again? Hearing Jasper the words didn't truly register until the two clashed. Crying out in shock and fear as Jasper drew a sword out of the air it seemed her eyes were wide. Realizing that she needed to help Matt but not get in the way, she slid under the table and dove under the next table, and crawled to the waiter. Feeling his throat for a pulse, it was low, but it was there. Suddenly a table was flipped across the room, nearly hitting her had she not hit the dirt again. Fear subsiding turned to anger, and her hands reached out. Grasping the legs of a chair she slowly stood, her eyes fixed on the monster fighting Jasper. When her friend made the dream eater stumble back she raised the chair and brought it down on it's head as hard as she could, shattering the chair, leaving the stubs of the legs in her hands. Seeing the monster drop to the ground but not be completely knocked out she backed up against the wall in fear. Oh she had done it now.
Jasper had been too involved in the fight to know what was going on around him. All he knew was that some humans had run out screaming which only made the Dream Eater pissed. But just as he was about to strike again once the demon had stumbled he was surprised to see a chair crash down on it. He looked over at Sita stunned till he heard a hiss and looked down. The Dream Eater looked as though he was going to kill and his eyes were set only on Sita. Jumping to its's feet, it through Jasper away from him before charging at her. Usually jasper would just kill the demon right away, but for once he felt fear. He feared for Sita. He feared for her just as the demon touched her and threw her across the room. Without thinking he let his wings come out and he flew to Sita, wrapped his arms and wings around her before she crashed to the ground. Holding her close, he knew the demon was charging again as he heard its hissing coming close. Just as it got close enough, he untapped himself from Sita and stabbed the Demon in the chest. Right away the light in the Dream Eaters eyes died and slowly it seemed to start to crumble away. Turning to Sita, he found himself checking her over for any injures and relax, "good, your okay." he said softly and only then felt the pain of his wounds and the tiredness in his limbs. Dream Eaters were hard demons to fight.
Sita cried out in pain as the Dream eater touched her and threw her across the room. She was waiting for impact, but it never really came. One second she was sure she was going to be knocked out, but now she was enveloped in Jasper's arms, and she saw golden wings around her. She felt safe, warm, and at home in those arms. It was in that moment that she forgot she was in danger, as she looked into those intense eyes. Then he turned away and stabbed the monster. Watching it crumble into nothingness she shook her head and then sighed heavily. Hearing Jasper she looked up and smiled reassuringly, giving a nod. "I'm alright." she said lightly offering her hand and took his. "Thank you for saving me." she said softly, feeling the rush of adrenaline dying in her system.
Jasper smiled when he heard her and took her hand so that they were both standing. It was the first time that someone had thanked him for doing his job and he liked it. He liked knowing that someone had seen him risk his life to protect someone else, it hadn't happened in a very long time. Not since her. "I am happy to do so." he said and then took his sword, seething it so that it would disappear for now. "but I am afraid that this whole thing may have happened because of me. So I should be saying sorry." he said and then bowed to her, his wings filing to his back before disappearing from sight. Straightening, he frowned and checked where the demon had touched her once more, "but by the looks of it the demon didn't have time to take anything from you since it only touched your clothing. If he had touched your directly would have reacted to him like you did before." he said and smiled.
