How easy is it to get home again when you've done this though [ninja]

My GPS on my phone gets me home every time >.>

We do the free date thing like almost every night. :) Our list of things to do without money:
Go for walks Go to a park and swing (later at night so no kiddies are around) Play board games DnD group/chill out with friends Play D3 (bought it once a while ago and it's ftp after that) Arts N Crafts together (I draw/costume and he does ChainMaile jewelry) Talk (WHHAT? I know that face to face thing. XD We debate a lot. Not argue or bicker but counter legit points about well anything. From deep religious stuff to the proper way to make a pbandj) Dance (my family dances instead of prays...It's a hippie pagan thing I guess) XD Movies on netflix (not really free but 7.99 a month for unlimited moives is WAY cheaper than $30for tickects to 1 movie plus another 30 for popcorn) And the best thing... SNUGGLES! XD hehe. ~3~ |

And we do Netflix quite a lot. Too much, probably! [lol] That's why I'm trying to brainstorm ways to get out of the house. |
Picnics and walks are always fun. :) Or even do some yard work together. :D
|
But what is there to do in the winter time? It's too fricking COLD to be outside. What to do besides pizza and movies?
|
Well, the boyf and I went to a museum last weekend! Nice and warm in there, plus lots of amazing artwork to look at.
At night you can drive around and look at all the christmas lights from the warmth of your car. It's also the perfect time to bake up some delicious desserts! [:D] |
Winter dates are fun!
- Bake cookies and make hot cocoa (with a little brandy, if you want [ninja]) - Learn how to knit and make each other lop-sided scarves & hats - Sledding! Snow forts! - Grab some spray water bottles and a little food coloring, and paint the snow outside. This is really fun to do if there's a field nearby, since you can make big "murals" - Pillow fort! Netflix gets a whole lot more fun when you're huddled until an awesome blanket tower - Make s'mores using the kitchen stove - If you have a car, drive around to look at the Christmas lights - Bar trivia night (I almost wrote "bra" there, that's an entirely different kind of date) |
Well.. there's no snow here.. and barely anyone in his neighborhood - or mine, for that matter - have put up any lights worth looking at.
I guess that leaves baking.. I'm going to take inventory of what he's got in his kitchen - after five years in the military, the man doesn't know much of cooking. I'm anticipating a near-empty pantry as far as spices/oils/tools/auxiliary utensils/pans. |
Build something with snow.
Ice skate. Teach your spouse how to cook because it's a valuable life lesson. Lock him outside and test his winter survival skills. |

That date, I choose that date!

[lol] !
Knerd, I really like your painting-the-snow idea! I think he and I will have to try that if we ever get a decent snowfall this winter. But lately it's just rain, rain, rain. [cry] |
Grab a video camera if you've got one (or just your phone if it has the capabilities) and go out together and film stuff- either go out with a specific plan for what you want to capture, or just film each other goofing off.
Then you can edit it to a favourite song or something later. That's actually what my husband and I did for our first date. Nearly 9 years, 2 university degrees, a wedding and 2 kids later, it's nice to still have the video we made all that time ago to look back on. |
Aw, that sounds adorable!! [heart]

What a cute idea ^.^
