Lavi: Nope. Just stressed. Also too lazy to take items off. But I am stressed (so she is to by default).

Mmm! I probably should be eating healthier, but I was in the mood for something not too healthy.

Haha, it makes me laugh how up front deaf are with things - if it can be seen it can be commented on. :P I'm used to it - it just makes me laugh. :P There is this deaf guy who works at the cafeteria and he was teasing me for how much food I had on my plate. :P If it was a hearing person who was making the comments, but because he's deaf, it's alright, and I can laugh about it. :) I'm a hearing person, stuck in two different cultures at the same time. [lol]

Amane 02-07-2015 11:21 PM

Yeah, so, I'm having more fun with The Sims 4 than I expected to have before all the expansion packs came out.

Maria-Minamino 02-07-2015 11:26 PM

Hummy - actually - it was quite a surprise....it was filled like 5 days into the project. I have no idea who did it...my mom and I both had giftcards we used to put 45 towards it, a friend put 30...and an anon donor donated the rest! I was blown away!

I'm actually looking into another project right now - it's being reviewed. I applied for a credit from the bill and melinda gates foundation to fulfill this project so I am hoping that it will be used on this one. If so, it will take the materials from 800 dollars to possibly 100....just depends. So here's hoping it gets approved. If not - I'm just going to rest a while and do another project in a few months or so.

But thanky ou for thinking of me and my students <33

How are YOU?

CloudDreamer 02-07-2015 11:28 PM

Maria: I love it when there are super generous people out there who're willing to help out music education! ^_^ ^_^

Same here cloud! It's good to know that there are people who are out there that still support what we do and think that educating our students about creative arts is worth it!!!

Amane 02-07-2015 11:33 PM

Man, I am a WALKING FURNACE FORTUNE TELLER.
/if you read all that together, GOOD

I just wish that I had more money so I could help out more. It totally is something that needs to stay in schools and people need to stop trying to get rid of music and theater and all of that in schools. Kids needs music and the arts! [yes] Definitely!

Yeah, it's just a tricky place for me at times - as I need to remember which culture I'm in. I do a lot of switching back and forth. :P

If I were rich I'd donate all that I could to supporting music education in schools. I think it is so important to raise children who are well-rounded. When you cut out something as emotional art art and music from a student's education, they grow up not learning how to tap into the creative sides of their brains. I firmly believe without art and music in our lives, we'd be human robots.

I'm so happy that there are so many people around the world who see the value that music has to offer. Unfortunately there are so many who do not see the value. It's sad when I hear of a Principal who doesn't support their music program because a) they never had it growing up or b) they had a bad experience with it growing up. I just want to knock some sense into them!

Thank you for thinking about me and my students as well as supporting music in schools. Even just verbal support to raise awareness can help to keep programs alive!

I'm actually not healthy either :( I managed to stay healthy for the entire month of January. But Thursday I started getting a sore throat. By Friday I had a fever of 101.7. I'm still sick :( OTL I can't get ahead of it!

I'm so sorry to hear that your dad had all that trouble!! At least he is recovering. My dad may have hip degeneration. They are going to the doctor...but he can barely walk these days and yet still insists on going to work (he bartends and manages a restaurant so it's taking a toll on him).

I'm also sorry to hear you have been sick for a month. I know how you feel :( It's not fun at all OTL. You and I just can't seem to get healthy.

I will let you know if I get another project up :)

I'm actually doing my senior project on how music and arts in schools helped to form identities in deaf individuals (starting with elementary school) and then looking into artists. My thesis explains it better: The type of education that deaf children get, in terms of their exposure to the arts and music will help to shape their roles and identities as adults within their community. (of course it's a work in progress, my thesis, but yeah!) I'm still picking exactly what I want to focus on - I'm still gathering info. :) xD It's a slow start.

It'd be hard not to try to knock sense into people who don't believe that it's a good thing to have. Come on now... really?!

You're welcome! :] I grew up with music in school and loved it - and I also come from a family with a big musical background. :] So I know how important music can be.

put her feetsies up on a stool or pillows in bed
play her some music or read to her maybe
you will both benefit from this <3

Unfortunately so many good teachers are quitting because of all the political crap they are being made to do these days. D:

CloudDreamer 02-07-2015 11:45 PM

Lavi: Oh dear!! :( [hug] Stress really can be evil, for sure! [glomp]

Amane 02-07-2015 11:47 PM

We're talking about stress? 'Cause there's only one song to listen to when you're stressed… *grins*
