Gemini seemed to be contemplating this. "Yeah...could..."

"Sure. We just have to wait for the doctor to check you over, and then we can fill out the discharge papers and leave." Bruce said.

"Good." Lori nodded then a few minutes later smiled at the doctor who checked her over. "Everything looks good though you will be sore and stiff for a while." He handed Bruce the papers.

"Your thinking about it." Lena chuckled. "Only problem is we would be taking Damien's mother from him." She sighed.

Bruce took the papers, thanking the doctor. "I appreciate your help." He said, already filling out the papers.

Gemini glanced up and smiled guiltily. "Maybe I was..." She said, then looked down again. "That's the problem, right there...poor Damien, to have a mother like that..."

Lori watched him then watched the doctor take the papers and go to put then threw. "Give me five minutes'" he smiled. Five minutes later the doctor and Lena appeared dragging Gemini along with her.

Gemini smiled when she saw Lori, her previous brooding thoughts tucked away for now. "Ready to do, sleepyhead?" She joked.

"We're all set." Bruce answered for Lori, moving to the bed to pick her up. "Do you mind if I carry you?"

Lori placed her arms around his neck. "Of course I want you to carry me." she smiled at him and kissed his cheek.

Lena smiled at them. "They are so cute." she chuckled.

Gemini nodded. "A perfect couple." She said, smiling.

Bruce smiled and gently picked Lori up, bridal style. "Alright, let's get going." He said.

"So what about you and Joker?" Lena asked under her breath so Bruce would not hear her.

Lori rested her head against his chest breathing in his familiar smell.

Surprised, Gemini tripped over her own feet. "How did you...Lori. Lori went and told you, didn't she?" She asked in a whisper, clearly upset. No one was supposed to know about that!

Bruce carried her easily out of the hospital, to the car he had driven there the night before. He opened the passenger side door and gently set her down in the seat. "There, all set." He said.

"Thank you my king." Lori smiled at him.

"I saw you two leave...since you came back I guessed your reaction confirmed it.'' Lena chuckled.

"...Shit." Gemini swore, blushing at how easily she fell for that. "Okay, yeah, we're...together, I guess. It's kind of difficult to explain. Just...just don't go telling anyone, okay?" She asked, headed for her own car that she, too, had left there all night.

Bruce chuckled. "It was an honor, my queen." He responded, before circling around and sliding into the driver's seat.

Lena looked from one car to the other then with a shrug she got into her dads car having walked to the hospital. Lori glanced at her "home or with us?" She asked. "My apartment please." Lena smiled.

Bruce nodded and started the car. "You'll have to give me directions. I don't know where you live." He said sheepishly as he pulled out of the parking lot.

Gemini got into her car and drove away, waving to Lori and company as she went. As soon as she got home and entered her apartment, Lucifer nearly tackled her. "Alright, alright, I get it! I was gone too long. Ugh, you smell...of course, so do I. Let's get you a bath, and then I'l take a shower, and then we can eat, okay?" The happy bark she received indicated agreement.

Lena directed him then gave them both a kiss on the cheek before slipping away. "Lets go home I'm starting to get tired." Lori yawned.

"Right, off we go." Bruce said, driving away. He felt a little strange after Lena had kissed his cheek. He wasn't used to affection from a daughter...it was much different from bonding with a son. On that thought, I wonder how Damien is holding up... He thought to himself as he drove down the long driveway of the mansion.

Lori opened her door when they got there but waited for him to get her out. "I love how big this place is.'' she chuckled.

Bruce shrugged as he picked her up, closing the car door with his foot afterwards. "Sometimes it's too big, with just Alfred, Damien and I." He said, carrying her inside.

"Soon it will be me." Lori thought a moment. "Though Lena is to big to want to stay with her parent's" she chuckled and rested her head on his shoulder. "Your nice and warm." she said eye's drifting shut slowly.

"Having you around is enough for me." Bruce said, smiling down at Lori's tired form. He brought her upstairs to the room right next to his, so that he would be nearby at all times, and placed her gently in the bed. He noticed that Alfred had made up the bed without being told, further enforcing Bruce's belief that the man was psychic.

"I want to sleep in your bed." Lori protested clinging to his neck refusing to let go. "If you leave me in here I'll just go in your room anyways." she pouted. "It's not like I haven't seen the room." she added with a smirk.

Bruce sighed. "Alright, but just for tonight. You need your own room to rest and recover." He said, picking her back up and bringing her to his room. "There, happy?" He asked, setting her on the bed.

Meanwhile, Gemini had just finished the herculean feat of bathing a large unwilling dog, and was getting into the shower herself. "Blood in Husky fur...thought I'd never get it all out..." She mumbled.

"Of course." Lori smiled and settled in under the blankets planning on staying where she was to rest and relax she would feel better with him or Ace around anyways.

Bruce just sighed. "Okay...I'm going to check on Damien. I'll be back in a minute, okay?" He said, wanting to make sure she would be fine alone for a minute. Just then, as if summoned, Ace walked in, jumped up on the bed and lay down, eyes open and watchful. "And I guess Ace will keep you company."

"Hurray I love warm doggy love." Lori reached forward carefully and patted Ace dismissing Bruce with her attention going to the sweet dog.

Bruce chuckled at the sight and left, knowing that Ace would keep Lori safe for the moment. He headed to where Damien's room was, deciding to check there first.
