"You two have powers." Martha backed away and fell into her mother's lap. Lori blinked then held Martha close confused about her behavior.

Cal stepped forward. "Martha, are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"So what if we have powers? Do you...not like that? You don't hate us, do you?" April seemed forever worried that her friends would stop liking her.

Martha looked at Lori who smiled gentle at been. She rose and looked them both off muster her courage "yes I hate you. You get these powers and you just want me to be OK with that? Well I'm not and I won't let what that Gypsy predicted come true." She looked away as fear reappeared in her eyes her mother was the only one who had gone with her to that Gypsy and she looked at the twins with new surprise. "You really don't think she meant..." Lori trailed off. "Who else could she mean?" Martha shivered.

April instantly started crying. "B-but we d-d-didn't ask f-for them..." She stumbled.

"What gypsy? What are you talking about?" Cal asked, trying not to show how hurt he was.

"I went to see a gypsy for my last birthday I didn't tell you because it didn't matter until know. She said a friend who had power would destroy everything thing I care about." Martha looked at Cal as she said it.

Cal stepped back. "And you think it will be me?" He asked, clearly terrified. "But I wouldn't...I won't..." He stammered, but he couldn't honestly say that he wouldn't do that. He had chosen evil, after all. His powers hurt people, and currently Ra's had some control over him. It probably would be him. He closed his mouth and looked at the ground.

April saw this reaction and knew what was going through her twin's head. "No! Listen, there's no proof that it'll happen, right? It's just some gypsy fortune. It's probably not even true. And even if it was, now that you've told us, we can stop it from happening!" She said desperately.

"She's never been wrong before." Martha still wouldn't look right at them. "I'm going to my room." she wondered off. "She just needs time to adjust to this give a day or two and she'll be back to normal." Lori didn't sound to certain about that.

April broke down into tears again. "There...there has to b-be a way t-to fix everything..."

"There is. We just have to find it. If we just give up, then it'll definitely happen. But if we fight it, we can make it different." He said stubbornly.

"Cal's right April." Lori smiled "You can change the future no matter what anyone else things." she glanced at Bruce. "You both know that Bruce didn't think he could date me because I was a villain and him a hero but we both fought for are love."

April sniffled. "Then...then we'll do that, too. I'll fight to make sure we can all stay friends." She said.

"I will, too. Even if we're on different sides, we're still friends." Cal said. "We could ask the others for help, too."

"There you go. I know it sounds silly, but if you believe in something and fight for it, you can accomplish anything."

"Martha will come around, too. She's a lot like her mother when it comes to stubbornness." Bruce said, smiling fondly at Lori. "We'll talk to her later and convince her to not give up."

Lori blushed and stuck her tongue out at him then stood. "For know we all need sleep. Except for those of us who have a night job of course." She glanced at Damien.

Bruce nodded. "Right. Thanks for coming, everyone. Once again it's been a wonderful time." He said sarcastically.

Cal took April's hand to comfort her, and they both experienced a jolt. "This is gonna be interesting."

"Yeah...but for now, let's just go home."

"Alright, kids, let's get going." Gemini said, ushering her children towards the exit.

Lori sighed then groaned. "I still need to go grocery shopping we have no milk." She sighed. "I'll be right back." She grabbed her keys unless you want to come with for a change? "

Bruce glanced at the stairs, then shrugged. "Sure, I'll come along. But let's make it quick, I don't want to leave Martha alone for too long." He said.

"Go talk to Martha then not like it would do you much good. She's stubborn like me." Lori vanished into the garage and drove off before he could protest. She picked up milk and a handful of other things making her way to the car gasping when a ninja appeared smirking at her.

Bruce opened and closed his mouth several times, wondering what had just happened. Sighing, he accepted that he would never fully understand his wife, and went upstairs. He knocked on Martha's door. "Martha? can I come in?" He called.

"No." Martha's sulky reply came followed by silence. "I thought for sure mom would come up you aren't exactly...talk to a teenage girl type."

Bruce sighed. "I know I'm not your first choice, but...I'd like to think I can at least try to talk to my own daughter." He said.

After getting home, Cal had gone straight to bed. As usual, he waited for everyone else to settle in and then snuck out of the house to wander the city.

"The door creeked open and Martha appeared looking tired and puffy eyes. "Your not great at talking either." She let him in and settled on her bed.

"Help!" Lori gasped as the ninja dragged her towards the rest of his group. She dug her heals into the ground and slashed at the man but nothing would make him stop she really wished she had dragged Bruce along.

Bruce followed her in and sat on the end of her bed. "Okay, so I'm bad at talking. But I'm good at listening, so if you want to talk...I'm right here." He offered.

Cal was drawn by the sound of a struggle, and found himself watching a group of ninjas trying to kidnap a woman. As he got closer, he saw that the woman was Lori. Furious, he ran forward, his power knocking several ninja off their feet before they knew what hit them. "Let her go!"

Martha crushed her father into a hug. "What do I do daddy?" She mumbled into his chest. "She's never been wrong about the future before." She sighed. "Maybe she means one of the others but one of the three super powered friends will destory everything I love."

The ninja grunted and turned to him smirking. "Gett use to this boy it's what you are going to be doing for the rest of your life." The one talking gestured to the two shoving Lori into there van. "You'll get all to use to it soon." Lori was still struggling. "Cal." She grimaced. "Go tell Bruce! Don't ruin your villain reputation before it even starts."

Bruce rubbed Martha's back slowly, thinking carefully about his response. "Well...fortunes are a difficult thing. A lot of times they end up meaning something different than you think. If this does come true- and there's never any guarantee that it will- it could be something completely different. Maybe one of them will give you new things to love, or help you realize you didn't actually love the first things. The one thing you need to remember is that they are your friends, and they care about you. Right now, they want to help you through this...and someday they might need you to help them through it." He sighed. "Also remember that there's a first time for everything. You could make this the first prediction that woman ever got wrong."

Cal growled. "You'll pay for this! You have made a dangerous enemy tonight." He warned, before running off. He used the rooftops to travel faster, and his powers to propel him faster still, until he reached Wayne manor. He pounded on the door furiously.

Martha smiled at her father. "Thanks daddy." she blinked at the pounding. "What the?" she frowned then hurried down the stairs. "Cal? What's wrong?"

"Where's your father? Oh, forget it, no time. Lori was kidnapped! I saw, and she told me to come get Bruce." He said frantically.

Bruce came down just in time to hear. "Thank you, Cal. You can relax now. Martha, I believe it's time for your first lesson. Come on." He said.

"Mom's in trouble?" Martha looked to hr father then followed along sticking close to Bruce."Do you thing it was Ra's?"
