Cal ducked away from his father, looking embarrassed. "I'm fine. I just didn't sleep well last night." He mumbled.
April started giggling, and had to shove a fist in her mouth to stop. |
"If your sure." Joker shrugged and went to plate the food adding a little more for Martha.
"I had a great nights sleep." Martha smiled at Cal looking innocent. |
Cal looked at his plate, refusing to even glance up at Martha, or April for that matter. He knew he'd see April wearing that smirk, and he didn't know what to do with himself while Martha was around.
Gemini saw what was going on and had to smile. |
Martha chuckled a little and went back to eating.
Joker as usual didn't notice. Lori helped Bruce change all his band aids and wraps before giving him a couple aspirin. |
April leaned over to talk to Martha so that Cal couldn't hear. "So, what does this mean for you two? Are you going to date, or...?"
Bruce thanked her several times during the process. In the few days he had been without her, it had been difficult for him to take care of his own wounds. "Have I mentioned yet that I can't live without you?" |
Martha shrugged a little smirking. "I'm not sure I'm enjoying teasing him to much. Once more kiss and then we can decide." she chuckled a little.
April grinned. "Okay, but don't take too long with that. Now that you've kissed him, it's only a matter of time before he either kisses you back or asks about it." She advised.
Martha chuckled "Don't worry I learned a few tricks from mom about evading people." she smirked. "I should go let them out of the penthouse." she stood. "See you two later." she left winking at Cal as she left.
Lori smirked a little. "You may have mentioned it but I think I'm fine with hearing it a few thousand more times." she kissed him gentle. |
April waved happily. "See ya!" She called.
Cal blushed again and nodded at her. "Later." He muttered. "Well that's no problem, because I'm sure I'll be saying it for the rest of our lives." Bruce said. |
"You better." Lori kissed him gentle. "And I'll be saying that if you ever do that to me again I'll kill you."
Martha paused at the door then took a breath she entered the penthouse. "Please be clothed. Are you decent in here?" she called as she entered eyes closed just in case. |
"Fair enough." Bruce said. He jumped a little at the sound of Martha's voice and winced, the sudden movement hurting his ribs. "Yes, we're decent. Come in, Martha."
Martha came in smiling. "Judging by the fact that your not dead mom most have forgiven you."
Bruce smiled. "Yes, for the most part. Thank you for dragging me here, Martha. I wouldn't have been brave enough to do it myself." He said.
"Your welcome." Martha smiled and joined her parents hugging them both. "Don't either of you leave me for a long time." she mumbled. Lori stroked the girls hair "I don't plan on going anywhere any time soon."
Bruce hugged his daughter tight- as tight as he could with broken ribs, anyway. "Me neither. I'm a lot harder to get rid of than that." He said.
"Good." Martha smiled happily then went to help her mother make breakfast.
((...now what?))
((They lived happily ever after? "))
((lol that would be nice. What about Cal and Martha, though?))
((Crap...we could have her tease him a little and then they get together.))
((That works. And we can end with them getting married and actually have a finished a roleplay for the first time ever! [squee]))
((Yay!!))
Martha slipped away from her parents when she had eaten having grown annoyed with all the gooey lovey dovey looks her mother had been giving her father. She wondered threw the city hands in her pocket not really paying attention when a guy came out of the shadows threatening to stab her if she didn't hand over her money. With a sigh she punched the man in the face and had him down in a second and went back to her walk. |
Cal happened to be up on the rooftops at that time, surveying the city and people-watching as he often did. He caught a glimpse of something happening down below- it looked like a mugging. He moved to get a closer look, and possibly intervene if he had to, and was amused to see the would-be mugger getting his butt handed to him by none other than Martha. He chuckled and dropped down to meet Martha, smiling. "Couldn't stand your parents lovey stuff anymore?" He asked.
Martha blinked then smiled at Cal. "It's terrible sometimes but at least they love each other again." she examined him. "What are you doing out here?"
Cal shrugged. "People-watching. I do it all the time." He said. "That mugger picked the wrong person to mess with." He grinned in amusement.
