X-Men: Survival Game (Kirin and Kiyoto)

It felt like someone had hit him in the head with a hammer. Stirring slightly from a rest that had not been peaceful or welcomed. A three fingered hand moved to his head, slightly out of the pain, slightly to make sure he was not bleeding. It was when he opened his eyes that he noted what looked like grass beneath him. Raising an eyebrow, the blue mutant slowly scanned the scene around him. He looked like he was laying in the middle of a forest, which made him raise an eyebrow. He had been in the middle of a city not long ago, now he was here? He was a teleporter, but this was ridiculous. He stood, his body a bit tense in alert. He had little idea of what to expect from wherever this place was. Now standing, the throbbing in his head increased for a moment, causing him to pause and close his eyes. He took a deep breath. “Ach, mein Kopf” he sighed, speaking in his native language.

The words only meeting silence for the moment however. He looked up at the sky, it looked normal enough but…there were no birds. Come to think of it, he saw no animals around at all. If this was a natural forest, where were they? His tail gave a slight flick of the air behind him, before moving closer to his back. Something was indeed wrong here. He sighed, what had he gotten into this time? Catching sight of a branch, he pushed off the ground with his feet. His arms extended above him, catching onto it, before he easily flipped himself up in one swift and fluent movement. He was a circus performer by nature, and had dealing with the X-Men. Getting up a tree was little trouble to him. From up here, he had a bit of a better view. Still though, all he could see was trees and grass. No animals, and not another soul in sight.

Calling out was probably not the best idea either, so what to do now? He sighed, pushing the throbbing from his head. He needed to think about this, logically and thoroughly…if he did not, he could risk getting himself killed. He decided taking a look around would be best. Focusing on a branch through the trees, he vanished in a puff of curling blue smoke, only to appear on the one further in moments later…and nearly falling out of it. His head protesting greatly at the teleporting, that his tail wrapped around the branch to stabilize him. “Well…that was not smart” he said, glancing down at the ground below him. Due to his accent, his W’s typically came out sounding more like V’s to those who were listening. Since no one was around to listen at the moment, it did not really matter. So, teleporting was out of the question for the moment, at least till his head settled.

That was fine, there were other ways of getting around than- He froze, pulling his body back as what looked like a dart went flying past him into the trunk of the tree. His eyes on it for a moment, before he glanced at the direction it had come. A tall man in a ski like mask stepped through the bushes. His hands on a gun, he was clothed in khaki pants, a black sleeveless shirt and combat boots. Kurt raised an eyebrow, opening his mouth to say something, when the gun was leveled at him. On second thought... He pushed himself back, as another dart was fired where he had been. He did a half flip in the air, before landing on all fours a ways from the man. His eyes on him, he was tempted to ask what his problem was, but the gun suggested otherwise. For now, it seemed that he was being pulled into yet another fight.

(OOC: I can't promise I'll be able to post that much. But I will do my best.)

Logan woke with a groan. He felt like he had been ran over by a steam engine. The last thing he had remembered he was in the kitchen at the mansion getting a beer. He sat up slowly his heading spinning a bit. What the hell had happened to him? He didn't usually feel this way. Hell he didn't ever remember feeling this way.

Soon his head stopped swimming and he stood up looking around. He could tell he was in a woods. But the woods didn't look familiar to him. His senses went on high alert. He sniffed the air as he moved slowly through the threes. When he found out who had ambushed him they would pay. Though he was also curious on to how he got ambushed.

All of a sudden he heard a sound in the distance. It sounded like some sort of gun being fired. Though not the usual type of gun. Perhaps it was some sort of dart gun. He quickly and quietly made his way towards the sound. One would think that the smart thing to do would be to head the other way. But he knew that somebody might need his help.

When he got nearer he saw The Elf being attacked by a man with a dart gun. He growled as his claws came out. "Back off bub." He said softly and menacingly.

Kurt had been expecting more of a fight, but things did not last too long. Soon enough, a familiar person was moving through the trees. His yellow eyes shifted from the unknown man, to one he knew all too well. “Logan?” he was curious a bit, but relieved as well. Why was the other here? But at least he was not alone, he now had someone he at least knew and could count on here by his side. Then again, Logan was one of the many who did not get along with many people at all. They had been on good terms lately, friends, since what had happened. Attempting to kill the president had gained him mixed feelings towards him.

Then again, he had not been of his own mind when it had happened. He had also gotten shot, which was when he had met the x-men when they showed up. He takes a breath, looking at the man with the gun, who leveled it now at the Wolverine. His head still pounding, he had to risk it at least. He moved, swiftly over to the other mutant’s side, grabbing his arm. The two vanished into a puff of blue smoke, where a dart flew past where they had been moments before. Landing in a clearing a ways away, the two of them landed hard on the ground. He filched lightly, “my apologies….my teleporting is a bit on the fritz with this headache…” He slowly stood, glancing over at the other. He had also gotten mixed comments about how it felt to be teleported.

He heard it was a rush and a high, pleasant and left them tingling and high on adrenaline. Others said it felt like their insides were trying to catch up with them, it left them feeling sick and dizzy. He had not teleported Wolverine much, and the two of them were not in the best condition at the moment, so it was hard to say how the other would react about all of this. He took a breath, “are you alright?” He pushed thoughts from his head, taking into account how the other would feel. Then again, standing around was probably not the best idea either. They needed a plan, they needed to move and figure out what the hell was going on.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-12-2014 07:27 PM

Logan swore as Kurt teleported him. It made his head swim. He staggered when the got to the field. He had to fight the urge to puke. "Damn it elf I could of handled that guy." He mumbled. "Though I am glad to see a familiar face." He smiled a bit. "So where the hell are we?" He looked around his senses on high alert. He was very grateful for his healing factor. "How you doing elf?" He asked he had noticed Kurt was in a bit of a rough state when he had first found him.

Kiyoto 09-12-2014 11:54 PM

He felt a bit bad, hearing the other's reaction to their jump. "I am sure you could have mein Freund, but we would be better off playing it smarter than blindly running into a fight yes?" he looked around them once more, when asked where they were. "I have no idea...and unfortunately, without an idea of where we are or direction, my teleporting is also a bit limited" he looked over to him, a bit surprised at the smile and being asked how he was then. He felt a bit of an odd stir inside of him, for a flicker of a second. "Besides a massive headache...I'll live" he gently rolled his shoulders a bit, "I have been worse off than this, back in my days within the circus." He remembered a bit of it, the lights and the crowds.

Though most of them had more come to see the 'freak' than the actual tallent behind all of the act. He glanced off in the direction they had come from. "I suggest we keep moving....getting our bearings would be the best option for us, a way out.." he looked back at the other. He chuckled a bit, even in such a situation, the other still managed to keep his rugged charm. That was Wolverine for you. Could be in the worst situation possible and still look good. He glanced down at his hands for a moment, the three blue fingers there on each hand. "Perhaps it would be best to get a view from both the ground and the trees yes?" he turned, walking towards the nearest tree. With Wolverine on the ground and him getting a higher more arial view, they would have a better chance of finding something.

mein Freund: "My friend"

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-13-2014 01:42 AM

"Fighting is what I do best Elf." He commented gruffly. He was never one to run away from a fight. Having healing abilities also helped. Logan looked around them. He hated not knowing where they were or even why they had been brought here. What bugged him most was how. How had they been brought here? And was there away to up the mansions security to stop it from happening.

"Yeah, getting the lay of the land isn't a bad idea. Just be careful up in the trees." He said not wanting Kurt to get hurt. He planned on staying close to the tree, just in case.

Kiyoto 09-13-2014 03:59 PM

He flashed the other a smile, "a tree is nothing compared to a high wire." He chuckled, before easily jumping up onto a branch. He stood, pressing a hand against the trunk, as he took a slight look around them. He noticed something off in the distance, wondering if Logan could smell it. "Seems there is a source of water nearby" he said, glancing down at the other. He glanced back the way they had come once more. "We should keep moving" he pushed off the branch with his legs, easily flying through the air to the next tree.

He wrapped his tail around the new branch to stabilize himself, as his hands and feet held onto it as well. The entire scene felt unnatural to him, and for that he was unnerved. This was not right, it was not right at all. He glanced up at the sky for a moment, the world seemed so much quieter without even an animal around at all. Had they been killed? Had they been forced from their homes? He knew such things all to well, after all...he had been through similar troubles himself. He sighed, now was not the time for such thoughts though, they had more pressing matters to attend to.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-15-2014 09:12 PM

Logan watched Kurt get up into the tree. He couldn't help but smirk. That elf was so flexible. He started sniffing the air and moving slowly through the trees. He smelled something, fresh water. He wondered if Kurt had seen it from his vantage point up in the tree. He was a bit to far away to hear Kurt call out to him. The most worrying thing to him was that there was no sounds of animals. Not only was there no sounds of animals there was no smell of them. Where in the hell were they?

Kiyoto 09-15-2014 11:57 PM

He placed a hand to his head, his yellow eyes closing for a moment. He whispered a few words under his breath, somewhat of a prayer to ease things. It was a natural reaction, before he opened his eyes. His tail gave a slight twitch before he moved, leaping to the next tree and branch. Catching hold of it, his tail once more briefly wrapping around it to steady his body. It was indeed water off in the distance, a place to start. He turned to look back at Logan, when the man who had shot at him finally seemed to be catching up with them. He could see him through the trees, moving closer to their direction. "If we do not move now, we are going to have some unwanted company" he called down, his eyes moving in turn once more to Logan for a brief moment. He thought about teleporting them once more, but another jump without warning might cause the other to lose his cool...or his lunch. At the moment the jumps were only egging on the headache that slowly seemed to subside a bit as he remained still. They needed a place to lay low for a bit, to gather their thoughts and surroundings.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-17-2014 05:03 PM

Logan had sensed the man before Kurt had given his verbal warning. "Already spotted him." Logan said, meaning he had picked up the mans scent. He was steadily heading towards the water. Though a part of him was screaming that it was a trap. But they really didn't have much of choice. They would need water well before they needed food. Though he hoped against hope that Kurt would resist the urge to teleport them again. He would much rather stay and fight then teleport.

Kiyoto 09-17-2014 08:47 PM

Kurt moved his body back into the shadows of the trees. With his darkened skin and natural blending abilities to shadows, he was hardly able to be seen. He moved along after Logan, keeping him and the man behind them in sight. He was careful to keep silent and not to give himself away. If something went down, it would be better for him to have the element of surprise as well as the blunt power both of them suggested. His tail gave a slight twitch, as he lowered himself to crouch a bit on the branch he stood on. His eyes following the other's move before him through the bushes. He took a slight breath, before silently moving to the next tree.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-18-2014 01:28 PM

Logan was glad that he had Kurt up in the trees. Even if he was spotted hopefully the man wouldn't know Kurt was there. The element of surprise was often the difference between life and death. He stopped suddenly hearing movement from his right. He turned just as a large jaguar comes out of the trees. His claws came out just as the large cat hit him. He flipped the big cat over his shoulders. He hoped that Kurt would stay up in the tree. He turned towards the cat, but it was gone.

Kiyoto 09-19-2014 01:40 PM

Tensing, he watched the scene below. His body wished to move, to help the other, but he kept still in his spot within the tree. His tail twitched slightly in annoyance and nerves, that he had to keep himself calm and at bay. The other could handle such an opponent, but it did not seem like much of a fight when the animal vanished. His eyes moved over the treeline, taking in the scene around him for the location of the predatory animal.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-22-2014 05:32 PM

Logan was very confused. Where the hell had that beast gone? He sniffed the air but couldn't smell it. It was as if the creature had never even attacked. Though he did get a whiff of the hunter who was pursuing them. He was much to close for comfort. He started making his way at a quick pace through the trees. It was as if that cat was meant to distract them and allow the man with the gun to get closer. He debates about having Kurt teleport them somewhere. Maybe it wouldn't be to bad if he knew it was coming.

Kiyoto 09-24-2014 02:03 PM

Kurt remained focused, watching the other from his spot within the trees. From the way that Logan was moving and reacting however, he did not seem to have an idea where the thing had gone to either. He raised an eyebrow, watching him from below. His eyes slowly being drawn back in the direction of the man who had shot at him before, and who was now following them through the trees. He was indeed closing in, they needed to pick up the pace. Remaining here would be a bad idea. He jumped, letting himself land on the ground below next to the wolverine. "Perhaps moving on now would be the best idea, while neither feline nor man are attacking us?" he asked, suggesting an action. However, the other's reaction he was worried about. He did not like running, and had already spoken against him once for teleporting them away. Would he refuse now to?

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-27-2014 04:14 PM

"I agree, but we need to get a farther lead." Logan said. Though he didn't like the idea of teleporting he knew there was really no better way. "I hate to say but we need to teleport." Maybe it wouldn't be so bad this time. Though he wasn't very optimistic. Though at least he wasn't as woozy as the first time the two of them had teleported. Though he planned on puking on Kurt if it came to that. He smirked a bit at this thought.

Kiyoto 10-01-2014 09:24 PM

His eyes on the other, he agreed that they needed to move on. He was the one who brought up the teleporting, much to Kurt's surprise. He was not expecting the other to go for that without a bit of insentive, or something else. He nodded, his tail twiching a bit behind him as his body became a bit more on edge as time passed. He noted the smirk, wondering what it was about, but there was no time to ask about it. He reached out a hand, taking Logan's in his. "Prepare yourself then..." he nodded, giving him a moment to do just that, before they vanished. Seconds later, they appeared by the edge of the stream, his hand releasing Logan's, to allow him to get his bearings.

Kirin Rosenbaum 10-08-2014 03:56 PM

"I don't think I'll ever get used to that." He muttered as the world spins when they get to the stream. Though he was happy to notice he wasn't nauseated this time around. He was a bit shaky but soon that passed. "I would love to find the person who is doing this to us." He moved to the stream sniffing the water. It smelled clean. He took a long drink. If he were going to get sick at least he'd heal. Now all they had to worry about was food.
