"To you about me or to me about you earlier?" Maggie asked, raising her eyebrow at him.
"Exactly," Robin said with a grin. "Fireworks." |
"The former," Ishiah replied. He looked at her. "Had I known, I would have been there. I would have looked after you and your mother."
Dani snickered. "Behold be fun, then," she said, grinning. |
Maggie shrugged that off. "We were fine on our own," she said. "Besides, I don't know if she knew how to contact you again. Not exactly like you left a phone number or address or anything."
Robin snickered his agreement and settled in to wait. |
Ishiah was silent for a moment. She had a valid point, but that didn't change what had happened.
"Regardless," he said, "we need to discuss what should be done now. I assume you have had little to no training in your abilities?" After a few moments, Dani risked a glance at Robin. Hey, she'd never been so close to a puck before, not for any significant amount of time. |
"I've figured things out on my own," Maggie said, her eyes narrowing again. "And what do you mean by 'what should be done now'? I told you so that you'd know, not so you could try barging into my life."
Robin grinned at her and waggled his eyebrows. "Like what you see?" |
Ishiah looked at her evenly.
"I do not intend to miss any more of your life," he said. "I was not there before, so I intend to be now. You likely have a lot of potential you can reach, with a little training." Dani grinned a bit. "I might," she teased, looking him over rather obviously. |
"I told you, I've been experimenting on my own," Maggie told him. "I've learned some things. I'm not useless." She scowled at him, although she didn't object to him wanting to be in her life.
Robin grinned. "Well I know I like what I'm looking at," he said, looking her over just as obviously. Flirting was harmless and fun and he wasn't doing anything so Ish couldn't smite him. |
"I didn't say you were," Ishiah replied. "However, there is always more to learn, is there not?"
"I do what I can," Dani replied, grinning and subtly moving a bit in her seat to 'display' herself a bit better. Hey, the flirting and teasing was fun. |
"I suppose so." Maggie looked at him. "What do you think you can teach me?"
Robin grinned and shifted himself as well, stretching out a bit. "Mmm, I can tell." |
Ishiah smiled a bit.
"First, I'd like to test you to see where exactly your talents lie," he said. "And where any of them may be lacking." Dani watched appreciatively. "I always did like a man in well-fitted clothing," she commented, grinning a bit. "And out of well-fitted clothing." |
"I suppose that's fair," Maggie agreed grudgingly. "I am not calling you father, though. Don't expect anything like that."
Robin grinned. "All my clothes are good, I don't settle for anything less," he said. "And I look even better without them." |
"Of course not," Ishiah replied. He would never force her to do that. If she did over time, well, he wouldn't stop her. But he wouldn't make her do it.
"I'm sure you do," Dani replied. "You wouldn't be so confident in it, otherwise." |
Maggie nodded.
"So when do you want to do this... test?" Robin grinned. "One time, a few years back, I had a few people over. One of them was an excellent artist, specialized in body art. We all ended up in nothing but paint. Now that was fun." |
"Whenever is convenient for you," Ishiah replied. "I would just ask that it be earlier in the day, as I do have a business to run in the evening."
Dani grinned. "That sounds like something I would have wanted in on," she said. |
Maggie nodded. "Very well. How shall I contact you, then?"
"You would have liked it, we had a great time." Robin grinned lazily. "I still have the numbers, somewhere. If you'd like." |
Going over to the desk, Ishiah rummaged around for a few seconds before finding a pen and a pad of post-it notes. Quickly, he wrote down his cell phone number and handed it to her.
"That is the best way for the moment," he said. "I might just take you up on that," Dani replied. She stretched a little. "It sounds like a lot of fun." |
Maggie nodded. "Alright." After a moment of hesitation she wrote down her own phone number for him. "Here. So you're not too confused when I call."
Robin grinned. "Oh it was fun. I'll go dig out the numbers and give them to you next time I see you." |
"Thank you," Ishiah said as he took the number and slipped it into his pocket. He'd add it to his contacts later.
"Well, based on what happens when those two come back, it may be often," Dani pointed out, grinning a bit. "Not that I'm complaining, mind you." |
Maggie nodded. "Anything else you want to talk about?" She shifted a little. She wasn't used to talking to people, and she wasn't used to people caring. She hadn't even though he would care.
Robin grinned. "Oh, good, more fun for me," he quipped. |
There was plenty Ishiah wanted to ask, but he knew it wasn't quite the right time.
"Not at the moment," he said. "Unless there was anything else you wanted to touch on?" Dani couldn't help but laugh a bit. Oh, this one was fun. |
Maggie shook her head. "Not for now," she agreed. She was ready to be done for a bit and go get a drink.
Robin grinned. Hey, he was having fun, and she looked like she was too. Win-win. |
Ishiah nodded and opened the door for her, letting her leave the office first.
"So, what is there between you and him?" Dani asked, waving a hand towards where the other two went and leaning forward a bit in interest. |
Maggie rolled her eyes at that, muttering about no need to open doors for her. But she did leave the office first.
"We're together," Robin said with a shrug. "Exclusively. The world has sighed at its loss of me, but so far it hasn't shuddered to a halt just yet." He grinned. |
"Exclusivity, from a puck?" Dani asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm surprised the universe hasn't imploded yet." She smirked just a bit.
|
"I know," Robin said, heaving a dramatic sigh. "It is quite amazing. The things I do for that peri."
