For one thing, I am a mutant, Charles told her, his lips quirking into a little grin.

Lily snickered at that. "Of course, how could anyone not see this. Well, I am certainly laid-back, and my house is almost always entertaining."

Heather blinked. Then she broke out into a wide grin.

"Okay, I have to admit, that's really cool," she said.

"Perfect," Robin said, grinning. "It seems we might be well-matched, after all."

Charles smiled, pleased. "That has... disturbed a number of people before," he admitted.

"Might be? Ha! As if anyone could not get along with me." Lily grinned and waggled her eyebrows at him.

"As long as you don't go into my head without permission, it's just fine with me," Heather said, still grinning.

"My dear, this looks like the start of a beautiful relationship," Robin said, grinning and waggling his eyebrows in return. Lucivar snorted at the two.

"I do try to keep out," Charles said. "Sometimes I slip, but only in contacting you. I don't listen in, not unless I'm invited to."

Lily grinned. "Excellent. Any habits I should know about? Staying up until three AM with Food Network or anything?"

Heather nodded a bit.

"That's acceptable, then," she said.

Robin raised an eyebrow, although there was a teasing gleam in his eyes.

"I suppose, if you consider sleeping as the gods intended to be a 'habit'," he said.

Charles nodded with a smile. "I do sometimes keep odd hours, but I do try not to bother anyone else."

Lily suppressed a smile. "Hmm. I dunno, that sounds kind of odd, we'll have to work on that."

"That's fine," Heather said, smiling a bit. "It's not like I keep rigid hours myself."

Robin grinned a bit.

"Anything else you would like to know?" he asked.

Charles nodded. "Well, then, I believe you know everything pertinent," he said, looking at her.

"I think that's it for now. If I have any other questions, I'll just poke you." Lily grinned. She was mostly teasing.

"Alright," Heather said. "You mentioned you don't mind animals? Because I have a giant magical cat at home who ends up getting a say in who stays and who doesn't."

Robin just raised an eyebrow, although there was still humor in his eyes.

"Fascinating." Charles grinned. "I like animals, although I've never met a giant magical cat before."

Lily grinned. And leaned across the table and poked him. Just because.

"Kaelas takes a bit of getting used-to," Heather admitted. "He can be a bit protective and a little jealous sometimes. And he's very straightforward and to-the-point when he talks to you. But he's really just a big marshmallow underneath the prickly exterior."

Robin rolled his eyes and sighed indulgently, but settled more comfortably in his seat.

Charles looked amused. "Reminds me of someone I know," he said. "I'm sure he and I will come to an agreement."

Lily grinned, pleased that he didn't mind her being odd, and glanced at Lucivar to see if there was anything else that needed doing.

"Well, then, if that's all..." Heather said. She grinned. "I'd be glad to have you join us."

Lucivar just shook his head a bit. They were pretty much done and could leave whenever Lily felt like.

"Excellent." Charles smiled. "I don't have any other business today that I need to do, so whatever you wish to do is fine with me."

Lily nodded and looked at the other two. "Have you eaten yet?"

"My plan was to head back to my place and get everyone settled," Heather said. "I'm not going to require you to stay all the time, but I do still want to get living arrangements hashed out."

"I wouldn't mind some munchies," Clint said with a shrug. Robin just snorted at him but waved a hand to Lily. For today, he didn't mind following her lead.

Charles nodded. "That's a sound plan," he agreed.

"Need a ride?" Tony asked Charles with a bit of a grin.

"This once, I'll accept." Charles looked amused, though.

Lily nodded and stood. "We'll get some food first and then head back to the house so you two can take a look around and pick your rooms and whatnot. Sound good?"

"Then let's head out," Heather said, standing up and stretching. Home sounded nice, and she needed to get her new men settled in around Kaelas.

"Good plan," Clint replied, nodding. Robin nodded as well.

Tony and Charles followed her out of the building. Tony had brought his ridiculously expensive little car, and he was just fine with following Heather back to her house.

Lily grinned and headed outside so they could find somewhere decent to eat. There were usually good places around the convention center.

Heather got into the car with Daemon and settled in comfortably. It was about a twenty-minute ride back home.

Clint and Robin followed Lily. Clint was okay with whatever Lily chose (he really wasn't picky about food), but Robin kept an eye out for actual good places. He gently nudged Lily when he saw one.

"There?" he suggested.

Daemon drove them home, keeping to decent speeds for now and just showing the other two the way. Besides, he never minded a decent drive, it was only when there was traffic that he got titchy.

"Sure," Lily agreed. She wasn't too picky about food, and she hadn't been to this place before, so she was perfectly fine trying it now.

Thankfully, traffic was light, and they were able to get back quickly. As soon as Heather was out of the car, she went to unlock the door and see where Kaelas was.

Robin nodded in satisfaction and headed towards the restaurant.

Daemon also looked for the giant cat, and snorted quietly when he found Kaelas sprawled across the whole couch. Kaelas blinked at them and didn't move yet.

Lily was fine with sitting between Lucivar and Robin in the booth, since she figured she'd have time with Clint later on too, and took her time perusing the menu.

"Oh, since I'm now thinking of it, any food allergies I need to know about?"

"Hey, handsome," Heather greeted Kaelas warmly, going over and lavishing some attention on the big hunting cat. "I brought home a couple of new males. Be nice to them, alright?"

"Scallops," Clint said with a shrug. "Nothing else I know of."

"None," Robin replied. He smirked a bit. "Pucks are the pinnacle of perfection."

Lucivar just snorted at him.

Kaelas snorted quietly. I make no promises, he said, looking beyond her to Tony and Charles. He hopped off the couch and stretched, evaluating them.

"Big cat," Tony muttered, eyeing Kaelas. "You were not kidding when you said giant."

Charles just blinked, looking kind of fascinated.

Lily grinned. "Excellent, that means I still have an open baking chart." She grinned gleefully.
