WWIII?

Am I the only one who is getting the feeling that this is turning into another world war...

rfrd757 09-19-2014 02:51 AM

Nope, I see it happening soon. I think we the states are gonna get hit by Russia or Isis. Fucking Terrorist.

sjacklene 09-19-2014 02:57 AM

Well, some of the action has moved into Australia. ISIS members had orders to behead random Australian citizens... :( :S

rfrd757 09-19-2014 03:04 AM

Yes and some of them have moved into the states as well. We know this knowledge because of Australia.

jellysundae 09-19-2014 05:49 AM

I just don't understand what these people hope to achieve, it's just...wtf are they doing! [gonk]

Yeah, that's my useful contribution to this discussion. >.>

It's called a superiority complex. Some people find themselves to be so far superior to another to the extend that they don't give the life of others a value.

As for WWIII... This quote comes to mind:
Quote:

“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

xuvrette 09-19-2014 12:12 PM

Poetet, that is one profound quote.
Smart people with smart quote.

SuperZombiePotatoe 09-19-2014 12:24 PM

Beheading... I mean really.

Maxipuff 09-19-2014 01:05 PM

Oooh, I like that quote, Poet. Gotta keep that in my archive. :O

Explodey 09-19-2014 01:10 PM

Seems like it's always over religion, too. Everybody's got to pretend their god is bigger than the other guy's god.

xuvrette 09-19-2014 01:31 PM

I believe all 'god' are the same. It is just the person interpreting the meaning differently. :/

SuperZombiePotatoe 09-19-2014 01:37 PM

I share that belief.

Yeah, I hear you. In fact, I'm a bit pragmatic, so there are times when I'm really not sure there IS a god, or that if it does exist it would actually care about any of the dogma religions are always trying to tie it to, anyway.

I can't conceive that something capable of creating not only us, but ferns, and platypuses, and diatoms would actually care if people pray 5 times daily to the east, or do or don't eat fish on Fridays or whatever.

I would -like- to believe in an all loving, all caring god, something to give life purpose and to nurture all us little scampering beasties, but I just don't think it could be anything like what we'd imagine.

But you can't tell fanatics how to worship. Even all the alleged holy men of these religions tend to find that out the hard way. Look at how many times people have risen and tried to bring the message that maybe, just maybe we should all be nicer to each other. That kinda talk gets you hung on a tree. Or burned at a stake. Or shot.

War is a nasty business.

rfrd757 09-19-2014 03:08 PM

I can't that with you guys but, I respect that. I honestly don't believe in a "god". The Bible is just a story thats come from a long time ago and translated some many different times.

xuvrette 09-19-2014 04:15 PM

When I use the word god, I don't mean it a face value 'god'.
It is just a term for anything that can play similar role like 'god', for English, it just happen to be known as 'god', commonly.
As long as you think there are some 'power' out there bigger than human, that is the 'god' I mean.
I have no religion, but I do think there is those destiny and fate and luck and things...

I just express my view, not really forcing anyone to follow my path.
There are so many human thoughts, sometimes it is nice to have varieties.

As about war, sometimes you would have to wonder. If without war, would people really appreciate peace?
I don't like bloody business definitely.

And this was my first thought. If they can infiltrate one country, they have bound to have infiltrated more. I am sure there are ISIS member already here in the US just waiting for the right time or the order to strike.

APBCole 09-20-2014 10:43 PM

It's not going to happen due to the massive trade dependence every country has on one another.

Every country is far too reliant meaning all they can really do is wag their dicks and threaten sanctions but that's all it is.

Apeiron 09-21-2014 05:25 AM

I think WWIII is very unlikely, but it's great hype to sell headlines.

As for it being over religion, I'd go deeper and say it's over politics, since religion, especially the Abrahamic faiths, are often so political. Hell, just look at the concept of a Caliphate.

Yes and I do think that there are some here. Just have to keep look out. I don't think that they will go deep into the states. But they will go to NY, VA, Maine and work there way up into Canada. This is what I see happening.

Maria-Minamino 09-21-2014 02:23 PM

My best friend and I were actually just talking about this yesterday. It's such a scary thought. But we may actually see World War III happen in our life time. It's really quite scary that not only have they infiltrated other countries but they have attracted people from other countries to join their cause.

The Wandering Poet 09-21-2014 02:26 PM

WWIII is unlikely but if it were to occur... you would most definitely want a rather large bomb shelter because we have enough nukes to destroy the whole world multiple times.

neokat-chan 09-21-2014 11:07 PM

God essential value in this world is hope I cant imagine anyone believing in a God or looking for a God or anything of the alike if they didnt need something more than the regular crap life throws at them.. and what we all need is hope.. So weather man created God as a symbol of hope or God created man as a being to worship him.. The results are the same: WE ARE DOING IT WRONG! Killing people in the name of hope is just stupid and if you believe that God created you then it would mean he created me too so.. why in fucks name would he want you to destroy his other creations.. The entire mentallity is flawed from any and all perspectives :/ World war 3 is not "coming" we are opening the door and dragging it in kicking and screaming x.x and honestly its up to us to fix it.. the only way we can.. spread peace.. spread love and most of all spread knowledge and I DONT mean the knowledge you get off the TV screen because we all know its a load of crap :/ I vote we all try to see shit through each others eyes..[heart]

The Wandering Poet 09-22-2014 09:02 AM

So true. Just because you disagree doesn't mean you can cry intolerance.

The people setting the true example are the ones that make a circle around the muslims so that they can pray without being attacked and maybe even killed.

And they have been infiltrated also.
